00:02You always remember your first one, right?
00:06It was in Charlotte.
00:07Charlotte had just been a first expansion team, just been married.
00:13I'd been married.
00:14My wife and I both went to Stevens Point.
00:18And it was also that year that our team, we had the most guys.
00:25So I made it, Duck made it, Clyde made it.
00:30Our coaching staff made it, and then our trainer made it.
00:34So everybody from Portland was a part of that All-Star weekend.
00:39It was amazing.
00:42It was just amazing.
00:44It's one of those you have to pinch yourself, right?
00:47You have to pinch yourself, and you start reflecting on your journey.
00:51And you start saying, from Atkinson Park, which was the park close to my childhood in Milwaukee, to going to the Boys and Girls Club, to have my big brothers beat on me and talk to me about the importance of playing basketball and competing.
01:09You think about all these things.
01:11That is the pinnacle then.
01:13Making it to the league, yes.
01:15Unbelievable.
01:16And then the next step is becoming an All-Star.
01:19And at that time, I tell people all the time, in the West, this is when they made you select by positions almost.
01:29It's not like today they just take the best players.
01:31You had to select by position.
01:33And that first team had five point guards.

01:37It had Magic, Kevin Johnson, John Stockton, Tim Hardaway, and myself.
