Widowed Rick Kepple is a disabled veteran who doesn’t really fit into the world so he created a studio with some friends to avoid the slings and arrows of life. Life begins pre-dawn in the studio with work beginning as the sun rises! Coffee first! Green Screen is set up with the bright LED lights and learning a DSLR camera with video and 1080p resolution to go along with the other cameras already in use! It’s just so technical and entertaining with music!  These days, Rick Kepple produces the videos, he does the Green Screen setup, the filming and editing on Adobe Premiere Pro and a host of other apps in case they’re needed! Not usually though. 01:17is, better to speak up, hi, my name is Rick and this is DRJ Studio LLC near Richmond, Missouri.

01:28January 12th, 2026 and doing another video from a makeshift studio, we're doing some work

01:41on the other studio in the barn and so I'm doing some video in my bedroom.

01:50I've got dog hair all over me, anyway, I'm doing some video in my bedroom, got the green screen

02:05up and it's a very neat little setup, it's a, you know, portable little setup.

02:16I can set up with just, uh, um, very little light.

02:23They're just in front of me, past me, got, uh, one light here, one bright here, and then

02:34they're pretty bright, they're pretty good.

02:39Um, don't know what to say about things, I'm gonna avoid politics.

02:51Yeah, we have, I avoid politics whenever I can on video and probably not gonna speak of it

02:58now.

02:59Um, this spring I plan on doing a lot more, um, videoing outside in the woods, um, and along

03:08the rivers, uh, doing some fishing, probably gonna record that, um, the Gasconade River

03:20is named for the Gascon region in France.

03:23I think that's how you pronounce it, Gascon, and, uh, there's a lot of history in the Missouri

03:32Ozarks are exploring the French fur trappers.

03:35Um, the Ruby Dew River is named for a French fur trapper by the name of, I think his name

03:43originally, Robidoux, something like that.

03:48Yeah, this spring we're gonna be doing a lot of video on the river, um, fishing, exploring.

03:58And, um, the interesting thing about the Missouri Ozarks, uh, on their, any of their rivers,

04:07is that, uh, it's all private river bank.

04:12And, you can't walk it like you can in some states like Illinois, or twelve, ten or twelve

04:21feet of their river bank, it's public.

04:24And, um, in Illinois you can walk the river banks and go fishing by anywhere you want

04:30or not in Missouri.

04:32And that's, uh, mainly for, um, the fear of getting sued.

04:39Um, oh, also, um, taking some new, taking some photographs with a new camera I have.

04:54I'm using DLSR, DLSR, DLSR, DLSR, DLSR, I don't know what it is.

05:02I'm using, I'm using DSLR cameras now.

05:07Along with the camcorders.

05:09The camcorders I can do a lot of this work with, um, self-forgers and stuff like that, self-videos.

05:16But the new DLSR, DSLRs, I can go out and, um, do a lot more different filming with that.

05:28And, um, it really gives me a lot more, um, range.

05:35All right, well, I gotta go out and be a car.
