00:00She was very involved with my chest, she was very involved with me.
00:05I mentioned my brother and sister were much older than me, so they kind of left home quite quickly.
00:11And then I, so you know, first part of the first 10 years I grew up with two siblings and then suddenly I was defeated.
00:22And it just was an unusual behavior, it's not the routine career you can just, or routine activity where,
00:30I think it was slightly unusual because you have to be really a passionate chest player to go about things on.
00:38But I turned out to be quite lucky with the resources available in children and things like that.
00:45But she would always come and make sure that everything was appropriate.
00:49And I think she was, she was there a lot because, I mean as a parent I see it myself,
00:55that you need to be there a lot to not fall behind very far in your understanding of your child, what they're experiencing,
01:02but also be aware of what was happening.
01:05And besides that, I think knowing that my mother and my parents were okay with me playing chess was a big relief.
01:16If you don't believe that they're worrying that you're not doing a constant study,
01:21you're always going to leave.
01:22If they don't worry, they don't put their worries.
01:25But my parents always gave me the impression that they would be comfortable and that they would be comfortable.
01:31I would qualify their answer by saying that some bad moves, some bad moves finish the game immediately,
01:40some bad moves you can recover from, and some bad moves and nothing's better.
01:45I think you should try to be better, except that you're not going to succeed.
01:52I mean you may try to say I've got to really avoid these mistakes.
01:56It's important to do that because then at least you will lower the number of mistakes, but you cannot avoid them completely.
02:03And part of playing chess and maybe life is having some level of tolerance.
02:09This is what you want to accomplish.
02:11This is what you would like to accomplish.
02:13And this is what is realistic.
02:16You must try to improve even though you know you will not succeed to the level you want.
02:24You must try to do better.
02:26You have to do things knowing that you are not 100% successful.
02:30But if you don't try at all, that's the wrong idea.
02:33It was a very, very big part of my career.
02:35She was traveling with me and my manager.
02:38You know, we were really worthy of the team.
02:42And invariably, any other issues, things that were unpleasant for me, I would discuss with her.
02:50Sometimes it's enough just to unload it.
02:54Sometimes you need a submission.
02:56Things like that.
02:58But it's also important.
03:02I always find it very nice when things were going bad and badly in one area, the other's chess.
03:09And then you get to meet your old schoolmates somewhere.
03:12You know, having the chance to leave your problems behind and leave them alone for a while
03:18is the best way.
03:20I mean, everything will take time.
03:21You will recover it next time.
03:23And you just have to know the patient.
