00:00A wide-scale European grassroots campaign has been launched to collect one million signatures,
00:07calling for the suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement.
00:12The initiative aims to pressure the European Commission to submit a proposal to the European Council
00:18seeking the full suspension of the agreement.
00:21According to the organizers, the campaign is a legal response to what they describe
00:26as systematic violations of human rights and international law allegedly committed by Israel
00:33in the Gaza Strip, including attacks on medical facilities, forced displacement of civilians
00:39and the use of starvation as a weapon of war.
00:43The campaign seeks to generate gradual impact, starting with suspending the partnership agreement
00:50and ultimately moving toward the imposition of comprehensive economic and political sanctions
00:56on Israeli companies and entities.
00:59Organizers say the campaign is driven by the principle that Palestinian lives
01:04are no less valuable than the lives of any other people.
01:08Once one million signatures are collected from across European Union member states,
01:12the case will be formally submitted to the European Parliament and the European Commission.
