00:00for Lapin coming out of Montreal, Quebec in Canada and she has made the seamless transition
00:07to freeride. We know she's got the tricks on lock. Backflips for her are like putting one foot in
00:13front of the other for normal humans. Justine riding for Peak Performance and Mahmoud and she
00:19is coming off a title. She wants to do it again. The motivation for her, she said, is fun. She
00:25loves freeride. She's so into it. Again, she has two titles. That second title also happening
00:33with Verbia included. So there's no asterisks, even though there's never any asterisks with
00:37the title, in my opinion. And so now she's just doing it again for the love, for the thrill,
00:42taking that air nice and fast off the top. She should be in her groove at this point, I
00:46would say. She's in the flow. She is a competitor by nature. She describes herself as a tiger.
00:52And so she is just going to attack this face and this season as she always does.
00:57Yeah. Been posted up in her home away from home in St. Anton in Austria, working with
01:02Stefan Heusel, freeride world tour legend. And he's made a great transition into coaching.
01:08Justine popping off the nose of that one. So clean. Such an athletic approach. She's always
01:12bouncy, poppy. She makes skiing look fun. And in a judged sport, that's critical.
01:17Absolutely. And that's that moguls coming through. I mean, we talk about backflips being
01:22second nature for her. And she greases that one right to her feet in the middle of very
01:26complicated committed terrain. That's what we know Justine for. And we've got another feature
01:30here. She's going to air up and over that bush, taking that air huge, stomps it with the
01:35immediate claim. Man, that was a Justine Dufour-Lapont performance I've come to expect.
01:42Just solid. She's happy. She feels good. Again, she's a veteran, but this is the first run
01:48of her season. Yeah. Textbook from the queen locking in the back lift. You can hear the
01:53Spanish announcer and the crowd in the background. Absolutely fired up. She's fired up. The energy
01:59that exudes off this woman is so infectious. She is pumped. There are no hidden emotions
02:07with Justine. Wow. Yes. Yes. Yes. Justine. That was cool. Wow. Let's take another look at this run.
02:33Just jumping into the meat of the action. She's going to take this warm-up air here,
02:38taking it across the fall line, quickly back to her feet. But she's got her sights on the wind lip.
02:43And here we go. Backflip right to her feet. Bolt really just stomps that landing.
02:50Tucking it up as it was kind of a short, kind of little bit, not a ton of real estate there.
02:55Immediately on the edges of her skis. And then she takes this lower air quite big,
02:59boosting up and over that bush. Yeah. Way down past some of the other bomb holes. Yeah. And then
03:05with the immediate claim, I mean, and that's the emotion that like even a seasoned winner like Justine
03:12still has that immediate emotional rush. And that really puts you right into the mindset of these
03:18competitors. Yeah. The emotions are there. They're so based in, in the line and the skiing. And there's
03:25a huge amount of risk that they're taking. I mean, we saw what can happen on that backflip from,
03:29from Astrid and Justine putting it on the line, laying it down. Nervous moments here for Zoe has,
03:35oh, it goes way up 86, three, three for the Canadian ski icon, Justine Dufour-Lapointe locking in a
