00:00Sources in the CBFC have shared that they have not yet certified any content from Yash's film Toxic.
00:07The teaser was released only digitally which does not require certification from the censor board.
00:13The film or its trailer or any other promotional asset is yet to be submitted by the filmmakers for certification.
00:20This is the information coming in from the CBFC as the trailer teaser for the upcoming film Toxic has raised several eyebrows that have been complaints made about this.
00:35Sana Farzeen joins me live on this story.
00:38Sana, Aam Admi Party Women's Wing in Karnataka has filed a complaint with the State Women's Commission saying that the teaser trailer has certain objectionable scenes that it is talking about violence against women.
00:52CBFC says, well, we have no information, we have no application.
00:57Absolutely, the Aam Admi Party is a woman wing has reached out to the Karnataka State Women's Commission.
01:04And they have officially filed a complaint with the CBFC, the central board for certification.
01:10However, sources have confirmed to us that no asset has yet been submitted to the CBFC.
01:16Because as we all know, anything that plays in theatres or in television requires a certification.
01:22But YouTube and social media have different regulations.
01:25And therefore, they do not require a certificate from the CBFC.
01:29And thus, they are not at fault.
01:30As for the State Commission, the women part, the board has complained.
01:36They have definitely asked that there are certain obscene and explicit content.
01:41Of course, there is a very intimate scene with Yash and a woman that has raised eyebrows.
01:45And of course, there is a lot of violence in the short teaser that was released on Yash's birthday.
01:50The film is set to release on March 19th.
01:53However, no asset, the film or the trailer has yet gone for the CBFC for certification.
02:00However, they have in the petition actually mentioned that the teaser has certain visuals that can cause harm to the mental state of women and children.
02:10And therefore, even if not, the CBFC, the social media team and YouTube team should look into it.
02:15And that the access of this video should come with a warning.
02:19Alright, thank you very much for that, Sana Farzeen.
02:21We'll wait and see what the CBFC or the authorities do about the so-called objectionable.
