is the 2025 Gibson Les Paul Studio ready for professional tracking, or is it just another overpriced refresh? We’re finding out today in Studio A(ttic).

This isn't a 30-second fluff piece. We are doing a deep dive into the tonal characteristics of the 2025 Studio model, running it through Native Instruments Guitar Rig 7.

00:00I am the nephew of real home
00:29recording and I'm doing this totally on my own free will now today I'm going to
00:36talk about my personal newest and now favorite guitar the Gibson Les Pauls
00:42studio this was made in 2025 this is the newest version of this guitar and I
00:48really do just I find that a very interesting thing that not many younger
00:53players play Les Pauls but personally I like them
01:00and
01:02and
01:07and
01:14One thing about this guitar that I enjoy is how balanced it is.
01:37It's not falling down, it's not a lot of neck dive in it.
01:44I also will say that I have already switched out the, whatever the name of this thing is,
01:51who knows?
01:52The knobs.
01:53The pickup switch.
01:54The under, this little plastic part tells me what it is, it didn't come with one.
01:58Which I wish it does.
01:59That's one critique of mine, I wish it came with a little plastic part.
02:02Switched out for the Dunlop strap locks and the strap buttons, they're really good.
02:08I use them on my guitars, so I got a gold pair because, nice guitar.
02:13And I got gold knobs, these are Gibson brand knobs.
02:15Speaking of the knobs, they are both push-pull knobs.
02:23So coil split is involved in both of these.
02:28So whether I'm on my rhythm pickup, aka my neck pickup, or my bridge pickup, my lead, I can
02:35coil split them as I please.
02:37Obviously you have your double tone knobs and your middle position, you can also split,
02:42which I find interesting.
02:44So it's like two, four, it's like six pickups in itself, almost.
02:50Which is very interesting for a guitar that's usually known for just being rudimentary.
02:55One, two, three, four, three.
03:17now for this one what i know is that it has a 24 and 75 inch scale length and has a graftek nut i
03:41believe it comes with grover tuners in it the ivory ones i like the ivory ones and has pretty sure the
03:49gibson brand style tailbridge yeah it does thinking about that and then the basically the thing that
03:57is the appeal of this guitar is it's at a price point of uh 1599 which is yes expensive however
04:07nowhere near as much as other gibson guitars but other than the finish and the i would say neck
04:14profile which is a very nice not baseball bat neck profile it's not like a prs it's pretty much the
04:22same hardware you'd be getting in a much higher level gibson in their base model which is very
04:27appealing to studio players mainly who don't care about how their guitar looks mainly about how it
04:32sounds so for like me when i record in the studio and i do things like that and i'm recording songs
04:38with my band i like to hear a good tone not necessarily a good looking guitar because i have a
04:43nice beautiful looking ivan is but it doesn't sound good
04:56so
05:01so
05:05so
05:09I'm going to go.
05:39maple top like most do it does not have any binding on the body itself it has it on the neck
05:43but i'm not on the headstock or on the body which is a difference that a lot of people
05:47get all fussy about but personally i don't mind the look of it and now with the
05:54pick i was using in the audio recordings you'll hear i am using the jp signature jazz threes
06:01there's two different sizes i use the bigger one for this one just because it's more applicable
06:08to my very weirdly shaped thumbs that's why i play bass um but i will say that along with all
06:15the stock parts that come in this lovely lovely guitar my favorite has to be the neck the fret
06:22work is very well done it's very smooth i don't feel a single sharp edge sticking out the rounded
06:26frets it's got 22 medium jumbo frets and i know that some people are saying all about this oh
06:35gibson's quality but control is bad now whether i agree with you or not is to be said but on this
06:42guitar specifically straight out of the factory nothing set up great i think it's set up awesome
06:47and i'm not a youtuber or nothing and no youtuber was or celebrity was known for this so i didn't
06:53order it i was like oh yeah i'm a big famous person make sure you set up my guitar nope i just ordered a
06:58guitar i got it for christmas it was my christmas gift and i am very appreciative of it but it didn't
07:04it came set up very well i don't have any complaints about this part of the neck the neck
07:09is the neck it feels very smooth on the back i very much like the size of it feels more like a
07:15more of a modern guitar than it than a chunky 60s style les paul would but i see a lot more people
07:21of my age playing i'll say ltd or esp eclipses or jackson monarchs for example because none of their
07:32guitar heroes are playing les pauls
07:34guitar heroes are playing les pauls
07:34guitar heroes are playing les pauls
07:34guitar heroes are playing les pauls
07:34guitar heroes are playing les pauls
07:38guitar heroes are playing les pauls
07:40guitar heroes are playing les pauls
07:42guitar heroes are playing les pauls
07:44guitar heroes are playing les pauls
07:46guitar heroes are playing les pauls
08:18But from someone who has about 14 other instruments, all-string instruments, I will say that this Gibson is very, very nice.
08:33It very much outclasses most of the instruments I own.
08:38And with Gibson's quality control, people telling me it's getting bad, I think they're upping it right now.
08:44Because the Les Paul Studio is so just, it's what I would look for in a guitar, even if I was big and rich and famous.
08:54I wouldn't buy this super high-end Gibson, because I'm not afraid of this getting completely worn in and played.
09:02I'm not afraid of this. It's not a wall piece, it's something to play.
09:06So that's what guitars are for me.
09:08So I appreciate how well this Gibson does it.
09:12And now with the clean tones, I feel that they're very full, and they have a lot of resonance in them.
09:19I love the sustain that comes with the Gibson, with Les Paul in general.
09:22I love the Gibson Pro Buckers.
09:25I love the, just the amount of clarity that comes with the clean tones.
09:31And on more high distortion, and more crunchy tones.
09:35I love how when you put it on the bridge pickup, you can hear that difference between the neck pickup,
09:39and how your placement does affect how you play.
09:42Anyway, it's all around just a very versatile workhorse guitar that I feel is very good on the low end of the higher end brand, if you get what I say.
09:55So like, I would recommend instead of buying the Inspired by Gibson Custom line of the Epiphones,
10:02I would just recommend buying a studio for the 300 more, because you just get that much more of a quality.
10:09But if you're someone for looks, Epiphone is where I would go.
10:13But personally, I find this guitar to be very, very efficient in what it tries to be, and what it is.
10:20So, that's about all I have to say.
10:39So, that's about all I have to say.
11:09With my stage playing experience, I'll say, from someone who played mainly Schechter on stage for a really long time,
11:20and I have an Epiphone, I have a hollow body, and a semi-hollow, I like them, they're nice.
11:26Taking this on a stage and being able to play up there with the presence and with the pure, just, aura that comes with it.
11:37Hated saying that.
11:38But, the aura that comes with playing a guitar like this, just feels, something about it feels right.
11:44Like, you've made it to where you want to be, as a young musician myself.
11:48So, as a musician who plays on stage a lot, and has gone to a lot of different stores, and played in a lot of different places, all over, all the different venues and stuff,
11:57I find that, like, from, I wanted this guitar personally.
12:02After experimenting with different brands, I chose the Les Paul.
12:06Mainly due to, like I said, its versatility, its ability to do pretty much all of it.
12:12I could play blues, I could play metal with this if I really wanted to.
12:14I could play the rock that I love to play live all the time.
12:18And, it's just, single cuts have always had a special place in my heart.
12:22First guitar was a single cut.
12:24I had a Telecaster as my first guitar.
12:26No, I didn't buy a Black Strat as my first guitar.
12:29Like most people do.
12:31But, this guitar will always have that little place in my heart.
12:36Now, with the top on it, that I like, it has a maple top.
12:39But, it's not a flame maple top.
12:41So, you can see the little, I wouldn't say imperfections, but I would say the little bits of wood grain.
12:47You can see, all throughout this guitar, you can see where all the wood is.
12:51And, you can tell what kind of, you can tell what it's made of.
12:53You can tell it's made of real wood.
12:54And, I like how you can see, on the back, that it's a different shade.
12:58But, it has that checking of where my belt is.
13:00And, I just realized it has that checking.
13:02Whoops!
13:03You can see that it is a very, very well crafted guitar.
13:08Anyways, point being, this guitar is going to be well played.
13:12It's going to be played a lot.
13:13And, I would just like to see more young people playing Les Pauls, and more people playing Les Pauls in general.
13:21And, no, this is not sponsored by Gibson.
13:25No, it's not.
13:26Real Home Recordings was sent, Guitar Rig 7, from all the audio that you did here in this video.
13:31We are so graciously allowed to use that audio, and those rigs, to record the, actually very well sounding, very high quality audio, that you will hear.
13:41Or, have heard.
13:43This has been Nephew, of Real Home Recording.
13:45And, this has been my review of the Gibson Les Paul Blueberry Burst Studio.
13:50As of being said, here's dr.
13:52In the background, we are teh now making a Speedwatch.
13:55So for fun and you will see us on this video, we are ready to go.
13:57Keep right chapter 4, I will do the video.
13:59And, I will read them in a how you do this video.
14:02And, I will remember what you did, let me pause if I've been using the video.
14:03Now, I'm ready to watch.
14:04And, there's really quick Sea Finance.
14:05The 이야기 movimento means, me.
14:07Not distant.
14:08I will be there.
14:09But, it says sometimes I don't know about this video.
14:11You can, I would see if I'm either.
14:12So, I don't know, but you guys are sure I am doing a lot of work.
14:14And, I believe me,hero.
14:15You both
