00:00At the height of tensions between Tehran and Washington, and as Trump openly speaks of strong options he is considering to strike targets inside Iran,
00:11he made a striking remark hinting at contacts regarding possible negotiations with Tehran.
00:17The statement brought back memories of last June, when Trump also spoke of potential negotiations before Washington surprised Iran with a series of strikes and raids targeting Iranian nuclear sites.

01:03Khamenei's remarks came in response to US threats of intervention, even militarily, to protect protestors in Iran.
