Four killed and 20 more injured in overnight Russian attacks across Ukraine

At least four people were killed and close to two dozen others were injured in overnight Russian attack targeting more than 20 locations across Ukraine. Zelenskyy slammed Moscow for intensifying the fighting this week, despite ongoing peace efforts.

00:00Four people were killed and close to two dozen others were injured in Russian attacks targeting
00:0620 locations across Ukraine overnight into Sunday.
00:10Kiev says Moscow fired more than 150 drones, but noted that its air defenses were able
00:16to intercept 125 of them.
00:18More than two dozen drones did, however, strike their targets, with Kharkiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk
00:25and Zaporizhia bearing the brunt of the damage.
00:27Local officials in the southern region of Zaporizhia say the attacks mainly targeted
00:32civilian residences and energy infrastructure, causing widespread damage.
00:38More than 385,000 homes lost access to power, gas or water as a result of the strikes,
00:44prompting emergency work to restore service to those affected.
00:48Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russia has significantly intensified its offensive,
00:53and in a post on X stressing that Kiev recorded over 1,100 drone attacks this week alone.
01:00Meanwhile, Russia says a young woman succumbed to her wounds following Kiev's strikes on
01:05Voronezh on Saturday.
01:07Local officials of the western Russian city say debris from a drone fell on her house in
01:11the attacks, which Kiev have yet to confirm.
