00:01:50Du bist okay?
00:02:00Ich denke so.
00:02:01Es ist mein Herz. Es fühlt sich...
00:02:03Oh, shit, Michelle!
00:02:07Michelle!
00:02:10Du bist okay?
00:02:12Ja!
00:02:14Was ist alles verletzt?
00:02:17Nein!
00:02:20Oh, ich bin okay.
00:02:26Oh, nein!
00:02:28Ich komme zu catchen!
00:02:39Oh, mein Gott.
00:02:40Das ist großartig.
00:02:56Ja, dann werden wir das sehen.
00:03:10Das ist großartig.
00:03:40Das ist großartig.
00:04:10Das ist großartig.
00:04:40Das ist großartig.
00:04:42Danke, Herr.
00:04:44Was ist das alles?
00:04:46Du bist hier, wegen der sehr glückliches Faktor dieser Mission.
00:04:50Das.
00:04:51Das ist großartig.

00:05:37Das ist großartig.
00:05:39Das ist großartig.
00:05:40Das ist großartig.
00:05:42Danke, Herr.
00:05:44I graduated from MIT in 1942, wanted to do my part in the war effort.
00:05:52The Navy wasn't interested in a 12-year-old recruit.
00:05:56Fortunately, they had other plans for me.
00:05:59I couldn't even drive myself to base, and there I was,
00:06:01working with the greatest minds in theoretical physics
00:06:04on what would become the most important discovery in history.
00:06:08You may not be aware.
00:06:09The U.S. military was already experimenting with stealth technology
00:06:15during the Second World War.
00:06:18We called it the Philadelphia Experiment.
00:06:22It's been called that.
00:06:24But the official, unofficial name was Project Rainbow.
00:06:32We were attempting to use electromagnetic radiation
00:06:35to bend light around an object.
00:06:37We were trying to make our ships invisible to the enemy.
00:06:42Instead, we stumbled upon something far more powerful.
00:06:46In July of 43, the USS Eldridge was docked
00:06:49in a Philadelphia naval shipyard,
00:06:50when all of a sudden it just disappeared.
00:06:54At around the same time, that same ship
00:06:57was spotted off the coast of Norfolk, Virginia
00:07:00by a merchant marine vessel some 370 miles away.
00:07:03Most of the crew vanished completely,
00:07:06and five of them were actually fused
00:07:09to the various bulkheads and decks of the ship itself,
00:07:12leading many people, however, to believe
00:07:14that the government actually discovered teleportation.
00:07:17Not quite.
00:07:18The Eldridge didn't move at all,
00:07:20at least not through space.
00:07:21The position of the ship didn't change,
00:07:24but the position of the Earth did.
00:07:27A rainbow device actually sent the Eldridge
00:07:29eight hours backwards through time.
00:07:32We're talking about time travel here?
00:07:34Indeed.
00:07:35After the war, the program was moved here
00:07:37where experimentation continued.
00:07:40By 1949, I was in charge of the program
00:07:43and eager to move it to the next level.
00:07:45So, on 29 November of that year,
00:07:50I sent a team of scientists and sailors,
00:07:53including my older brother,
00:07:57Aaron,
00:07:59through the time portal.
00:08:04But the system, my system,
00:08:07for bringing it back didn't work,
00:08:08and 19 men and two women
00:08:15were stranded
00:08:1670 million years in the past.
00:08:1970 million years?
00:08:21You think a couple of weeks was enough?
00:08:24We were trying to be careful.
00:08:25There was a great deal of debate
00:08:27about creating temporal paradoxes.
00:08:30Like if you went back in time
00:08:32and killed your grandfather sort of thing.
00:08:34Exactly, yes.
00:08:35So I chose a time
00:08:37well before human history
00:08:38to minimize the chances
00:08:40of adversely affecting the present.
00:08:49I've spent the last 59 years
00:08:51trying to correct my mistake,
00:08:54improving the technology
00:08:55to safely rescue
00:09:02the people I sent in the news.
00:09:04Excuse me, sir.
00:09:05What makes you think
00:09:06they even survived the transportation?
00:09:08We weren't sure
00:09:09until a couple of weeks ago
00:09:10when a team of archaeologists
00:09:12discovered a series of cave paintings
00:09:14in Western Argentina.
00:09:18Electrocarbon analysis
00:09:19dates these paintings
00:09:21at between 64 and 76 million BCE.
00:09:24Yeah, but that doesn't prove
00:09:25that those are your guys.
00:09:26I mean...
00:09:27lights, please.
00:09:39Lights, please.
00:09:39Welcome to the Rainbow Room.
00:10:01Everything you see here
00:10:02involves the mechanics
00:10:04of the Rainbow device
00:10:05which is buried beneath us.
00:10:12What is it?
00:10:13Basically, a mile-long
00:10:16beryllium tube.
00:10:18We discovered
00:10:20in Philadelphia
00:10:21that by applying
00:10:22electromagnetic energy
00:10:23we could create
00:10:24a tachyonic field
00:10:25inside the tube
00:10:26which spins it
00:10:27close to the speed of light.
00:10:29After that,
00:10:30it was just a matter of gravity.
00:10:31To do what?
00:10:34To open a wormhole.
00:10:38The theory of general relativity
00:10:40allows the possibility
00:10:41of closed time-like curves
00:10:43through which an object
00:10:44can theoretically move
00:10:46to any point
00:10:46within that space-time curve.
00:10:49When the Rainbow device
00:10:50reaches maximum velocity,
00:10:53a path between two points
00:10:54in the curve is created.
00:10:56And the gravitational pull
00:10:57of an object dropped
00:10:58into the singularity
00:10:59creates a passage
00:11:01through space-time.
00:11:08Look, I could sit here
00:11:09and try to explain
00:11:10quantum mechanics,
00:11:12CTLs,
00:11:12and Minkowski space
00:11:13to you,
00:11:14but I'm afraid
00:11:14you would be very bored
00:11:15and you still
00:11:16wouldn't understand it.
00:11:18The bottom line is
00:11:19it's a surprisingly
00:11:20simple process,
00:11:21but the difficulty
00:11:22has been
00:11:22in calculating
00:11:23the space-time relation.
00:11:27When hasn't been nearly
00:11:28as big a problem
00:11:30as where?
00:11:32That is,
00:11:33until the cave paintings
00:11:33were found.
00:11:35Why not just go back
00:11:3560 years before they left?
00:11:38First, there's still
00:11:39the concern
00:11:39about paradoxes.
00:11:41And second,
00:11:42it's impossible
00:11:42to pinpoint
00:11:43the exact moment
00:11:44when the team was sent.
00:11:47I'm confident, however,
00:11:48that we can come
00:11:50within a few months
00:11:51or years
00:11:51that they disappeared.
00:11:53We?
00:11:53I'm going with you.
00:11:56I never make
00:11:57the same mistake twice
00:11:58and I won't send
00:11:59others in my place again.
00:12:02Besides,
00:12:02you'll need me
00:12:03to reopen the portal
00:12:05on the other side.
00:12:06an extraordinary mission,
00:12:13gentlemen.
00:12:14More dangerous
00:12:15than anything
00:12:17you've ever done before.
00:12:20And I will not
00:12:21order any of you
00:12:22to accept it.
00:12:24You don't want to do it?
00:12:26There'll be no questions asked.
00:12:33Fuck it.
00:12:33We're in.
00:12:41Write your letters
00:12:42to your families.
00:12:43Get your fix in order.
00:12:46Dismissed.
00:12:48Get some rest.
00:12:51You leave at 0300 hours.
00:13:03whoops.
00:13:04And you're like,
00:13:05Matt,
00:13:05I'm just trying to find
00:13:10you.
00:13:13Thanks for acting.
00:13:18I'm done.
00:13:19I'm done.
00:13:23I'm done.
00:13:24I'm done.
00:13:25You're done.
00:13:25I'm done.
00:13:26I'm done.
00:13:26Imen.
00:13:27I'm done.
00:13:27I'm done.
00:13:28I be alone.
00:13:29I'm done.
00:13:30I'm done.
00:13:31I'm done.
00:13:32I'm done.
00:13:33I'm done.

00:15:27All right, ladies, this is just another section rescue operation.
00:15:40Let's mount up!
00:15:42Fuck it.
00:15:45Fuck it!
00:15:47All right, let's go! Go! Go! Go!
00:15:50Get out of there, team! Jump in there!

00:15:54Let's go! Let's go! Look alive! Let's go! Get in there!
00:15:59Move it out, SEAL 10!
00:16:04Move it!
00:16:24You okay there, Doc?
00:16:28Yeah. I'm fine.
00:16:44SEAL team! Sound off!
00:16:46American!
00:16:48Burke!
00:16:49Go!
00:16:57You guys all right?
00:16:59You got Stubbs and Myrick?

00:17:46No!
00:17:47No!
00:17:48No!
00:17:49Fuck.
00:17:51All right, let's settle up.
00:17:53We need to get to higher ground.
00:17:55We can't just leave him here like this.
00:17:57We have to...
00:17:59Bert!
00:18:01You're on point.
00:18:03Let's move.
00:18:19Thank God it isn't damaged.
00:18:33What does it do?
00:18:37It keeps the wormhole open on the other side.
00:18:41As long as we have this,
00:18:43we can get back.
00:18:49So, Don,
00:18:51this is Argentina, huh?
00:18:53It will be.
00:18:55Right now,
00:18:57it's a southern part of a continent called...
00:18:59Gatwana.
00:19:01So, Don,
00:19:03this is Argentina, huh?
00:19:05It will be.
00:19:07Right now,
00:19:09it's a southern part of a continent called...
00:19:11Gatwana.
00:19:19Gatwana.
00:19:21I'm not a saint.
00:19:23I'm not a saint.
00:19:25It's a grave.
00:19:27And I'm not a saint.
00:19:29You're a saint.
00:19:31Something like that.
00:19:33What's the name?
00:19:35I am not a saint.
00:19:37You're a saint.
00:19:39You're a saint.
00:19:41How do you care?
00:19:43Das ist es.
00:20:03Was?
00:20:04Die Räume, wo die Käsepäinten gefunden wurden.
00:20:08Nein, es ist zu klein.
00:20:13Ah, plate tectonics.
00:20:18Es hat fast 70 Millionen Jahre alt.
00:20:21Huh? Huh?
00:20:34Therbivorous.
00:20:38It won't bother us.
00:20:50Here, let's go.
00:20:52All right, you heard the man.
00:20:54Beat, beat, ladies.
00:21:08Here, let's go.
00:21:10Here, let's go.
00:21:12Here, let's go.
00:21:14Here, let's go.
00:21:16Here, let's go.
00:21:17Err!
00:21:18Oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:21:48Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:22:18Oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:22:34All right, ladies, that's our warning.
00:22:37Now let's move out.
00:22:38I'm not losing any more fucking men.
00:22:44Move it.
00:22:46Come on, Doc.
00:22:48Let's get out of here.
00:22:49Let's get out of here.
00:23:19What's the problem, Burke?
00:23:45Burke, I don't want to get eaten.
00:23:48Jesus Christ, Burke.
00:23:50Keep it together.
00:23:52Now let's move.
00:23:53What's the problem, Petty Officer?
00:24:09Something out there, sir.
00:24:11Something, I saw it.
00:24:14Something's out there.
00:24:23Yeah, all right.
00:24:28Don't shoot me, Burke.
00:24:29There's nothing out here.
00:24:48Don't shoot me, Burke.
00:24:52Jesus Christ, Burke.
00:24:54We're not going to...
00:24:54Lieutenant!
00:24:58Lieutenant!
00:24:59Lieutenant!
00:25:00Lieutenant!
00:25:03Move, team, move!
00:25:07Move it, move it!
00:25:09Fall back!
00:25:09Everybody move!
00:25:10Hold your fire, Jones.
00:25:12We're wasting ammunition.
00:25:19Hold your fire, Jones.
00:25:20We're wasting ammunition.

00:28:07Aaaaahhhh!
00:28:11Get out of here!
00:28:12Aaaaah!
00:28:21Gah!
00:28:26Gah!
00:28:27Bruce?
00:28:35Bruce?
00:28:40Yes, yes.
00:28:46Bruce.
00:28:51We'll rest here.
00:28:52Hey, Stubbs!
00:28:54Get out of here!
00:28:56We're not leaving without you, Chief!
00:28:58Hey, Stubbs! Get out of here! Go!
00:29:00We're not going anywhere without you, Chief!
00:29:02I'm telling you guys, go!
00:29:04Officer Stubbs.
00:29:06W-What are you looking for?
00:29:10They always hunt in Paris.
00:29:12Oh, no.
00:29:20Bud! Look who's here!
00:29:25Look who's here!
00:29:31Chief Stark.
00:29:33Well, I reckon you can still call me Bud, Doc.
00:29:43What happened here?
00:29:45What?
00:29:47Betty?
00:29:49What happened to him?
00:29:53Come on, they gotta get the others!
00:29:55We're the only ones left.
00:29:57Twenty-one?
00:29:59Three never made it through the portal.
00:30:13And the rest, well...
00:30:19It's a dangerous place.
00:30:22You came back.
00:30:29How long has it been?
00:30:36We have to get this man.
00:30:37All of us.
00:30:38Back to the entry point.
00:30:41Big Red's gonna send the kill.
00:30:43Okay.
00:30:47All of us.
00:30:48Back to the entry point.
00:30:53Hey, Jim.
00:30:55Who's...
00:30:57Who's Big Red?
00:30:59Hey, is this stuff potable?
00:31:00Well, I hope so.
00:31:01We've been drinking it for the last six years.
00:31:02You...
00:31:03You've been here...
00:31:04Six years?
00:31:05Well, give or take.
00:31:06Forgot my calendar, Doc.
00:31:08Oh...
00:31:09Oh, look.
00:31:11Oh.
00:31:12Oh...
