00:00Antoine, huge congratulations on your move to Manchester City. Just try and give us an
00:04insight into the emotions that you're feeling right now because I know you've worked incredibly
00:09hard to get to this point in your career.
00:11Yeah, it's only sinking in now to be honest. Had to work very hard to get to this point
00:17and yeah, over the moon it's done and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
00:23You're 26 now, happy birthday for Wednesday by the way.
00:27Many people say that's kind of the perfect age for a club to buy an outfield player
00:31because you're coming into your best years. How do you feel about where you're at in terms
00:35of your development and give us an idea of what kind of player City are getting?
00:40Powerful, quick, strong, clinical player. Still improving. I feel like I'm still yet to reach
00:47my peak. I feel like I've got a lot of learning to do and joining City here is going to be
00:53the best thing for my development. Best coaches, best players and yeah, I'll take my game to
00:57the next level.
00:58Your football journey to this point has been one about persistence and determination.
01:03You know, you face rejection as a young player, but as we sit here today, you're one of the
01:07Premier League's finest talents. Just talk us through how you've done that and what characteristics
01:12you've had to lean on to get to this point.
01:15Well, I've had to be a strong character. I feel like emotionally, mentally, I've had to
01:20get really strong. I feel like I've had family, friends, fiance around me, keeping me uplifted
01:26and always pushing me. So yeah, I've had to push myself quite a bit, get through a lot
01:32of troubled times, hard times. And yeah, it's just made me the man I am today. Strong, fearless
01:38and ready to attack the world. City have had an amazing period of success. I mean, we won
01:44the treble in 2023. I believe you've seen the trophies today. And just over the last 10
01:51years really, our success has been unmatched. Can you just give me an idea of, as an outsider,
01:56what the perception of Manchester City has been over that period?
01:59I mean, you want to be part of the team, to be honest. You want to be winning those trophies.
02:02You want to be playing with the best players in the world. So yeah, that perception is
02:06you just want to be involved. And thank God I'm involved and we can win many more trophies.
02:12The final game at Bournemouth, it kind of really struck me, the reaction that you got from the
02:19crowd and what the manager said after the game, what your teammates were saying. You're obviously
02:24very, very loved there and that's exciting for City fans. How did it feel on that final
02:31day, especially to score the winner? It was like something out of a film, wasn't it?
02:35Yeah, it's just, everything just aligned. It felt wonderful. I was quite emotional as
02:41well, I think even leading up to the game at home. But yeah, loved my time there. Loved
02:46everyone, teammates, players, medical staff, everyone in the building. I tried to be myself
02:51with everyone and everyone seemed to love, love it and warm up to it. So hopefully I
02:55can do the same here. Fantastic. Just one final thing. The City fans are very excited
02:59about your coming. So I was wondering if you just had a message to them ahead of,
03:03you know, you playing your first game. It's going to be a challenge to get in the title
03:08race, but I'm ready. I'm ready to be part of this journey and look forward to seeing
03:13you soon. Well Antoine, huge congratulations again and good luck for your time here at City.
03:18Thank you very much.
