00:07Today was to be the day, was supposed to be the day that fans were looking forward to

00:13with Jananayagan's release date initially being January 9th.

00:16But now with all the delays and everything that we're seeing,

00:19I want you to also bring us a pulse of the public sentiment out there

00:23because we've been discussing about politics.

00:25So yes, you take us through the politics right now on the situation,

00:28but also bring us the public sentiment out there.

00:34Well, a very good morning.

00:35It was supposed to be a joyous morning here for Jananayagan fans,

00:40Vijay Talapati fans here in not only Tamil Nadu but across the world

00:44as Jananayagan was also to release today worldwide.

00:48And as you can see, we're right now at Rohini Theatre

00:50and just by the posters that have been set here in a grandeur manner,

00:57you can also see what is the kind of expectations the fans have of Talapati.

01:03Time in and time out, we've seen every Talapati fan there

01:06who have eagerly been awaiting to catch Jananayagan on screens there,

01:11catch their favourite leader there, Talapati, on the big screens for one last time

01:16as he has promised today, that is on January 9th.

01:19But unfortunately, we do see that there's been some kind of issues that has been going on

01:25with the movie's certification that is yet to come in.

01:28In fact, the case is ongoing right now at the Madras High Court

01:31and we are looking at the hearing, all likely to continue on today as well.

01:36What is going to be the Madras High Court's verdict today?

01:39Will the fans finally get to see the light of Talapati,

01:43which is on the big screens today for Jananayagan?

01:45That's something that we'll have to wait and watch.

01:47But eagerly, all the fans in and around, you know, not only in India,

01:52but also across are eagerly waiting.

01:54In fact, actors, politicians, everybody who are, you know,

01:58who have their love for Talapati have come out

02:56there hasn't been any release as well.

03:06Well, we were very excited actually,

03:09and we were looking forward,

03:11but looks like the politicians had another choice.

03:27I mean, we were expecting on all that.

03:40their strong clearly saying that this is not,

03:43you know, it's not going to be just one line of action

03:47that will be taken.

03:53Disheartened that the film had not been released today?

03:57But, you know, undeterred in their spirit,

03:59as Jananagan is all likely to, you know,

04:13and it's a historical place when we speak of big releases,

04:16it's quite a contrasting picture that we can see,

04:20quite empty compared to what the teaser releases

04:25the kind of crowds that it had already garnered.

04:32with regards to how this movie's delay in release

04:36has indeed affected the project at large.

04:38I mean, we're talking of a massive investment as well

04:41and how it's been panning out in the court of law today.

04:44We will be taking a look at the final decision of the Madras High Court

04:48in this situation.

04:49But overall, if we just take a look of how things have gone down

04:53for Vijay in this entire movie,

04:55the production cost that's also at stake at this given point of time

04:58because of this very delay.

04:59Well, that's right.

05:04In fact, you know,

05:05at the recent argument at the Madras High Court there,

05:08the team for the production company

05:10had also argued saying that

05:12there was a lot of money that had gone in

05:14for, you know, making of Jananayagan.

05:17This, apart from the release that had been expected,

05:20there was a grand expectation

05:21all set for Jananayagan to be released today.

05:25You know, parallel to Parasakti there,

05:26yes, we do have two, you know, back-to-back films

05:29that were set to be released.

05:30One, Shiv Katkin's Parasakti and this being Talapati Vijay,

05:34you know, Jananayagan all set to be released today.

05:36And unfortunately, with the certification yet to come in,

05:39the film producers as well as, you know,

05:42the people who were the makers behind this film,

05:45they are, you know, disheartened that,

05:46you know, all of these arrangements had been made.

05:49In fact, there were several cuts

05:50that were also made to this movie

05:53after, you know, the first screening

05:55by the committee there,

05:56the certification committee there.

05:58There were almost close to 20 cuts

06:00is what we are getting to learn

06:01of the film Jananayagan there.

06:03But it does look like there needs to be

06:05some more clarity that needs to be brought in

06:08for the certification to go ahead.

06:10And that's where, you know,

06:12this delay has been going ahead.

06:13Yes, you know, it's definitely, Apoorva,

06:16it's been very disheartening

06:18for all the fans out there.

06:19And that's something we can see

06:20in the very visuals around you as well,

06:22how empty that theatre is

06:24and what would have been

06:26if the approval had come in for this movie

06:28and it had not been delayed.
