A la veille de sa retraite, Richard Jones est ruiné par Vincent Kruger, un homme d'affaires français qui a mis en faillite son entreprise. Richard, son ex-femme Kate et leurs collègues sont privés de leur pension. Pour se venger, ils se rendent à Paris demander des comptes à Kruger. Ils découvrent alors son mariage prochain avec Manon, sa ravissante maîtresse, qui porte autour du cou un beau et très coûteux diamant. C'est ainsi que Kate conçoit un plan pour voler le diamant de la future mariée, espérant récupérer une partie de leurs pertes...
