When the Doctor Who Movie aired on the BBC in 1996 after it's American broadcast it was converted from NTSC to PAL (30fps to 25fps). As a result of this process the PAL airing of the movie is approx 4% faster and higher pitched than the original FOX Broadcast. Sadly when the movie was released on home media the PAL conversion was used and has been in every subsequent re-release (including the Blu-Ray and the BBC iPlayer version).

Using a rip of the recent blu-ray release I have manually slowed and repitched the audio to make it as accurate as possible to that original FOX debut, restoring the film to how it should be. No more high pitched McGann, fast movement or squeaky (Well, more sqeaky) Daleks!

[This upload does not intend to violate any copyright but merely is a demonstration of the errors on the home releases of the movie and hopefully will bring wider attention to this problem so that when we get another release of the movie the PAL conversion will be undone.]
