When the Doctor Who Movie aired on the BBC in 1996 after it's American broadcast it was converted from NTSC to PAL (30fps to 25fps). As a result of this process the PAL airing of the movie is approx 4% faster and higher pitched than the original FOX Broadcast. Sadly when the movie was released on home media the PAL conversion was used and has been in every subsequent re-release (including the Blu-Ray and the BBC iPlayer version).
Using a rip of the recent blu-ray release I have manually slowed and repitched the audio to make it as accurate as possible to that original FOX debut, restoring the film to how it should be. No more high pitched McGann, fast movement or squeaky (Well, more sqeaky) Daleks!
[This upload does not intend to violate any copyright but merely is a demonstration of the errors on the home releases of the movie and hopefully will bring wider attention to this problem so that when we get another release of the movie the PAL conversion will be undone.]

00:00:00It was on the planet Skaro that my old enemy, the Master, was finally put on trial.
00:00:08They say he listened calmly as his list of evil crimes was read and sentence passed.
00:00:14Then he made his last, and I thought somewhat curious, request.
00:00:19He demanded that I, the Doctor, a rival Time Lord, should take his remains back to our home planet, Gallifrey.
00:00:30It was a request they should never have granted.
00:01:00To be continued...
00:01:29The Time Lord has 13 lives, and the Master had used all of his, but rules never meant
00:01:57much to him. So, I stowed his remains safely for the voyage back, because even in death
00:02:04I couldn't trust him.
00:02:15There, that should do it.
00:02:22In all my travels through space and time, and nearing the end of my seventh life,
00:02:27I was finally beginning to realize that you could never be too careful.
00:02:36It was a beautiful sight
00:02:42Your kiss was a flame
00:02:48Another spot that somehow died
00:02:55And every night
00:03:00Every night
00:03:02Was real

00:03:11Each time
00:03:18I waiting

00:14:52You get that feeling?
00:14:53Here we have lipophysiology being performed by one of our senior cardiologists,
00:14:59Senior cardiologist, Dr. Holloway,
00:15:02who will insert a microsurgical probe into the patient's artery,
00:15:06then search out the short-circuiting part causing the fibrillation,
00:15:10and just so you know your money's being well spent,
00:15:13will blast it with lasers.
00:15:16So, is Brian threatening to leave again?
00:15:19He won't.
00:15:21That's strange.
00:15:23What?
00:15:24Where am I?
00:15:26Uh, subclavian.
00:15:28I should be in the barriocephalic.

00:16:52Grace!
00:16:52This is all his stuff.
00:17:01There's no identification there, either.
00:17:03Tag him as a John Doe and book him for an autopsy.
00:17:06You want me to bring that kid in?
00:17:08Maybe he can help us with an identification.
00:17:12Doctor?
00:17:14Sure.
00:17:14Sure.
00:17:14This is no double exposure.

00:18:01Sorry.
00:18:03It's okay.

00:30:03Judy, can I...
00:30:04Again?
00:30:06No.
00:30:06Right away.
00:30:07Listen, Curtis, can you get SFPD on this?
00:30:22Some creeps made off of a John Doe that died last night.
00:30:25You body snatchers.
00:30:28I could never afford you.
00:30:29Please report to administration.
00:30:31Don't call the police just yet, Curtis.
00:30:35Ray, can you give me some time?
00:30:39Time.
00:30:41Nothing.
00:30:42Nothing.
00:30:47Keep the service.
00:30:50Time.
00:30:51Time.
00:30:51Time.
00:31:01We don't need to advertise our mistakes, do we?
00:31:05What are you saying?
00:31:07Two hearts.
00:31:09No wonder you got lost.
00:31:12Exactly.
00:31:13Or maybe...
00:31:14this really was a double exposure.
00:31:18In either case, I can't afford to lose you.
00:31:21What are you doing?
00:31:23What you could have done last night.
00:31:26Am I having a bad dream here?
00:31:27I lose a patient, and then I lose his body,
00:31:31and now you have just destroyed the only proof that...
00:31:33That you were careless?
00:31:34No, that I had no way of knowing...
00:31:36Stop.
00:31:36A man died last night because you lost your way.
00:31:39You bet I did.
00:31:40You saw the x-ray.
00:31:41The guy had two hearts.
00:31:42And now, without a body or without records,
00:31:45no one need know he was even here.
00:31:47You can't do this.
00:31:48Let me take care of this, Grace.
00:31:52No.
00:31:53Believe me, I know what is best for all of us.
00:31:59But what was he?
00:32:01How can we learn from him?
00:32:03I've got to find his body.
00:32:04And I have to keep this hospital open.
00:32:07No.
00:32:08No.
00:32:09If you do this,
00:32:11I'll quit.
00:32:14You don't mean that.
00:32:15You don't mean that.
00:32:40Puccini, we've met before.
00:32:53I don't think so.
00:32:54Jesus, I think so.
00:32:55I know you.
00:32:57You're tired of life, but afraid of dying.
00:33:02There was music.
00:33:04Madame Butterfly.
00:33:06You were there.
00:33:07I saw you last night.
00:33:08It wasn't me.
00:33:08I don't know who I am, but I know that you know me.
00:33:12Please, go away.
00:33:13Please.
00:33:14You're my only hope.
00:33:15I'll call security.
00:33:16Do you know who I am?
00:33:17I don't care who you are.
00:33:18Leave me alone.
00:33:20Please, you must help me.
00:33:21You're a doctor.
00:33:21Yeah, well.
00:33:23My oath just expired.
00:33:26Stand back.
00:33:38Get out!
00:33:47Get out!
00:33:48It's my heart.
00:33:52There's something.
00:33:56It can't be.
00:34:00What is this?
00:34:02What is it?
00:34:05Please.
00:34:06Please.
00:34:07I have two hearts.
00:34:09You have to get me out of here before they kill me again.
00:34:12Please.
00:34:14Please, you have to help me.
00:34:15Drive!
00:34:16Drive!
00:34:16Drive!
00:34:26Hey!
00:34:35Okay.
00:34:36Okay.
00:34:37Okay.
00:34:37Hi, Bruce.
00:34:41Why the shades?
00:34:42I had a bad night.
00:34:44Did you want something?
00:34:51What happened to the gunshot wound I brought in?
00:34:54I've got orders to move him.
00:34:56He died?
00:34:57Oh, yeah.
00:34:59Well, I've got orders to move his body.
00:35:06Where is it?
00:35:09His body.
00:35:10Well, haven't you heard?
00:35:11The body's gone.
00:35:13Stolen.
00:35:14Okay.
00:35:14Where are his things?
00:35:16The kid that brought him in ran off with him.
00:35:19The Asian child.
00:35:21The Asian child?
00:35:24Bruce, you're sick.
00:35:27You all right?
00:35:39Better, yes.
00:35:40Good.
00:35:41Now I don't have a piece of primitive wiring in my cardiovascular system.
00:35:45Primitive?
00:35:46I don't believe it.
00:35:53He's taken all his stuff.
00:35:55Who?
00:35:56Brian.
00:35:56Your boyfriend?
00:35:58Ex-boyfriend.
00:36:01Listen, why don't you just have a seat and open your shirt?
00:36:03I want to listen to your heart.
00:36:05Oh, it's...
00:36:06cool.
00:36:08Right.
00:36:10Right.
00:36:11He's taken the sofa.
00:36:17Come on.
00:36:18Follow me.
00:36:21Now I'm remembering more.
00:36:23Good.
00:36:24Lovely view.
00:36:25Maybe you have selective amnesia brought on by shock.
00:36:30Maybe.
00:36:31I can't remember.
00:36:36Ah, da Vinci.
00:36:38He had a cold when he drew that.
00:36:40You're still fibrillating badly.
00:36:42No, I'm not.
00:36:44Here.
00:36:51I remember.
00:36:52I was with Pacini before he died.
00:36:55Name dropping.
00:36:56I was.
00:36:56I was.
00:36:57I was.
00:36:58Shh.
00:37:03Oh, my God.
00:37:04You see, that's no echo.
00:37:05He died before he could finish Chirando.
00:37:07Alfano finished it based on his notes.
00:37:11It was so sad.
00:37:13You have two hearts.
00:37:18Who are you?
00:37:20I was dead too long this time.
00:37:22The anesthetic almost destroyed the regenerative process.
00:37:25Yeah.
00:37:27Right.
00:37:30I'm going to get a syringe.
00:37:32I'm going to take some blood.
00:37:33I want to know what's going on.
00:37:34Grace, Grace, Grace, Grace.
00:37:35Don't you see?
00:37:37I have 13 lives.
00:37:38Please.
00:37:40Okay, you're trying to tell me that you've come back from the dead.
00:37:43Yes.
00:37:44No, sorry.
00:37:45The dead stay dead.
00:37:46You can't turn back time.
00:37:47Yes, you can.
00:37:50I'm not a child.
00:37:51Don't talk to me like I'm a child.
00:37:53Only children believe that crap.
00:37:55I am a doctor.
00:37:58But it was a childish dream that made you a doctor.
00:38:03You dreamt you could hold back death.
00:38:04Isn't that true?
00:38:18Don't be sad, Grace.
00:38:20You'll do great things.
00:38:21No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:38:51Hello?
00:39:21Who's there?
00:39:35The guy from the ambulance?
00:39:38Bruce, don't scare me like that.
00:39:41This place is freaky enough.
00:39:44Chang Lee, that's your name, isn't it?
00:39:46Well, I never.
00:39:52The TARDIS really likes you.
00:39:55What are you talking about, Bruce?
00:39:56I am not Bruce.
00:39:58It took me a minute with the talking and the walking.
00:40:01But I am not Bruce.
00:40:03I am merely inside his body.
00:40:08Oh, yeah.
00:40:08So, uh, who are you really?
00:40:16Give me the bag.
00:40:35Where is he?
00:40:37Who?
00:40:38The man you stole these things from, where is he?
00:40:40Those are mine now. He's dead.
00:40:42He's not dead.
00:40:43He's stolen my body.
00:40:46But...
00:40:47And I will die unless we bring him back here.
00:40:51You're going to help me do that, do you understand?
00:40:55Well, what's in it for me?
00:41:01You get to live.
00:41:02Hmm, not bad.
00:41:30But these belong to...
00:41:32Brian?
00:41:33Yep.
00:41:35Keep them.
00:41:42How's my blood?
00:41:44It's not blood.
00:41:49Hmm, perhaps if I walk in and stretch them a bit, they'll fit me better.
00:41:52Good idea.
00:41:53Let's go for a walk.
00:41:54Maybe you're the result of some weird genetic experiment.
00:42:05I don't think so.
00:42:06Well, you have no recollection of family.
00:42:08No.
00:42:09No, no, no, no.
00:42:10Wait, wait, wait, wait.
00:42:12I remember I'm...
00:42:13I'm with my father.
00:42:14We're lying back in the grass.
00:42:15It's a warm Gallifreyan night.
00:42:17Gallifreyan?
00:42:18Gallifrey!
00:42:19Yes!
00:42:19This must be where I live.
00:42:20Now, where is that?
00:42:21I've never heard of it.
00:42:22What do you remember?
00:42:23A meteor storm that did the sky above us was dancing with lights.
00:42:28Purple, green, brilliant, yellow.
00:42:30Yes!
00:42:31What?
00:42:32These shoes.
00:42:34They fit perfectly.
00:42:35Yes.
00:42:44Yes.
00:42:45You know, this is all mine until he stole it from me.
00:42:52He should never have been allowed to be here.
00:42:55You know, I was told he was dead.
00:42:56Yeah, well, that body had died, but now he's regenerated into another one.
00:43:00You know, my body can do this 12 times, but he's taken most of my regenerations.
00:43:05What did he do with them?
00:43:08Unspeakable crimes.
00:43:10Like what?
00:43:13King Ghaz Khan.
00:43:14What about him?
00:43:15That was him.
00:43:17No way!
00:43:18Yes way.
00:43:19Look, I'm no saint, but he is evil, and he's doing it all with my body.
00:43:26I was on the verge of stopping him when we got here.
00:43:29Oof.
00:43:32What do you want, Lee?
00:43:33What do you mean?
00:43:34If you could have anything, anything at all, what would it be?
00:43:39I don't know.
00:43:41A million bucks.
00:43:42Only a million?
00:43:43Okay, two million.
00:43:45Think bigger.
00:43:46A billion dollars.
00:43:47And what would that buy you?
00:43:50Power.
00:43:51Power.
00:44:00Gold dust?
00:44:03You get the rest when I get my body back.
00:44:06Deal?
00:44:08Deal?
00:44:13Let me show you around.
00:44:18Go ahead.
00:44:22Whoa.
00:44:23How'd I do that?
00:44:25I told you the TARDIS likes you.
00:44:27The Cloister.
00:44:44Awesome.
00:44:44Isn't it?
00:44:46Come, let me show you.
00:44:53Here is the Eye of Harmony, the heart of the structure.
00:44:57Everything gets its power from here.
00:44:59So how can it help us find him?
00:45:01Well, as you know, it used to belong to me, but now it belongs to him.
00:45:06If we can't open the eye, we will find him.
00:45:11Cool.
00:45:11Cool.
00:45:13So you're going to open it?
00:45:14No, you are.
00:45:16See if you can pull this reflector staff from its mooring.
00:45:20This thing?
00:45:21Mm-hmm.
00:45:26You can do it.
00:45:37Go on.
00:45:38Now.
00:45:40Look in the beam of light.
00:45:41If the TARDIS really likes you, the eye will open.
00:45:48Why don't you look?
00:45:49You pulled the staff from the stone.
00:45:51What is it?
00:46:04What is it?
00:46:18Something's happening.
00:46:21Something's happening.
00:46:22Okay.
00:46:22Something's happening.
00:46:23Oh, my God.
00:46:24Oh, my God.
00:46:24Oh, my God.
00:46:25Thank God.
00:46:26Okay.
00:46:28I know who I am.
00:46:29Oh.
00:46:31I am the doctor.
00:46:39God.
00:46:40Now do that again.
00:46:42Whoa.
00:46:54Whoa.
00:46:55What?
00:46:56There's the guy I took to the hospital.
00:46:58The doctor's past life.
00:47:00The doctor?
00:47:02That's what he calls himself.
00:47:03Doctor.
00:47:04The new doctor.
00:47:14He's so young.
00:47:15Hmm.
00:47:18Fascinating.
00:47:20Ah.
00:47:21See that?
00:47:22That's the retinal structure of the human eye.
00:47:27The doctor is half human.
00:47:31No wonder.
00:47:34What?
00:47:36No.
00:47:37I saw him.
00:47:38The master is here.
00:47:41What are you talking about?
00:47:43He is planning to take my body so that he will live and I will die.
00:47:48Oh, no.
00:47:54He has opened the Eye of Harmony.
00:47:57What is the Eye of Harmony?
00:48:00Wait.
00:48:00Wait.
00:48:03There.
00:48:04We're seeing what he's seeing.
00:48:06I know that one.
00:48:12I'll take one night to sleep and see you, Grace, but it may be too late.
00:48:15What's the Eye of Harmony?
00:48:16It's the power source at the heart of the TARDIS.
00:48:18The TARDIS?
00:48:18What's a TARDIS?
00:48:19The TARDIS is my ship.
00:48:20It carries me through time and space.
00:48:22T-A-R-D-I-S.
00:48:23It stands for time and relative dimension in space.
00:48:25And this master, is he like the devil?
00:48:26The master is a rival Time Lord.
00:48:28Time Lord.
00:48:28Oh, my God.
00:48:28Pure evil.
00:48:29I was bringing home his remains from Skara where his final incarnation had been exterminated
00:48:32by the Daleks.
00:48:33Or so we thought.
00:48:34You really are insane, aren't you?
00:48:35But he wasn't dead.
00:48:36It's a trap.
00:48:37Don't you see?
00:48:38It's a trap.
00:48:38He wants me to look into the Eye.
00:48:40If I look into the Eye of Harmony, my soul will be destroyed.
00:48:42He will take my phone.
00:48:44Listen to all those lies.
00:48:46But you believe them.
00:48:47I don't want to deal with this.
00:48:48Grace, listen.
00:48:49That's enough.
00:48:50If the Eye of Harmony isn't closed, this planet will be sucked through it.
00:48:54Grace, I need to fix the timing mechanism on the TARDIS and close the Eye.
00:48:57I need an atomic clock.
00:48:58Grace, please, help me find me.
00:49:01Grace.
00:49:02Grace.
00:49:04Grace.
00:49:10Grace!
00:49:12Oh, come on, Grace, please.
00:49:41Just let me in.
00:49:42No!
00:49:46Grace.
00:49:48Let me in.
00:49:48We can sit down.
00:49:49We can have a cup of tea.
00:49:50We can talk about this reasonably.
00:49:52Sure.
00:49:52Time Lord to Earthling.
00:49:53Yes, that's right.
00:49:54I am a Time Lord.
00:49:55Well, I thought you were a doctor.
00:49:56So you're a doctor.
00:49:57I'm calling an ambulance to take you back to psychiatric from which you have obviously escaped.
00:50:01Grace, we don't have time for this.
00:50:03The Eye of Harmony is open.
00:50:04If I don't close it, get my TARDIS and the Master off this planet, this planet will no longer exist.
00:50:09I'm calling the ambulance.
00:50:10Grace, we have until midnight.
00:50:21Come on, come on.
00:50:23Yes, yes, I'll hold.
00:50:24Grace.
00:50:25I shall prove to you the Eye of Harmony is open.
00:50:28Look at this.
00:50:29Yes.
00:50:33You see already, the molecular structure of the planet is changing.
00:50:36I'm going to need an ambulance as soon as possible.
00:50:40This is Dr. Grace Holloway.
00:50:42At first in subtle ways, but soon in catastrophic ways.
00:50:46I need a bed in psychiatric.
00:50:54By midnight tonight, this planet will be pulled inside out.
00:51:03There will be nothing left.
00:51:05I think you better make that two beds.
00:51:08Doctor, come on.
00:51:12She needs an ambulance.
00:51:22Grace.
00:51:24Grace.
00:51:26I've lost 20 pounds.
00:51:29Congratulations.
00:51:30In 20 minutes, it's starting.
00:51:33You can make a fortune in the weight loss business, Doctor.
00:51:35...about the strange natural phenomenon.
00:51:37Since early this evening, Bay Area tides have risen to levels that break all records for this time of year.
00:51:43Flood warnings have gone out along the Napa and Russian rivers.
00:51:47Grace.
00:51:47And believe it or not, in Hawaii, it has even started snowing.
00:51:50Now, you may be wondering what this has to do with the millennium.
00:51:53Scientists say that the freak conditions are due to the very slight fluctuations in the Earth's gravitational pull.
00:52:00Fluctuations that apparently only happen once every thousand years.
00:52:04Here's what our cameras in Hawaii saw...
00:52:06I love humans.
00:52:08All of us seeing patterns and things that aren't there.
00:52:10...and most fashionable San Franciscans are going tonight to ring in the new year.
00:52:14And, of course, you'll be there, won't you?
00:52:16Naturally.
00:52:17Now, didn't you say they'll see a clock getting started?
00:52:20That's right.
00:52:20And, you know, it isn't just any old clock.
00:52:23It happens to be the most accurate atomic clock in the world.
00:52:28And it's right here at the Institute of Technological Advancement and Research in downtown San Francisco.
00:52:33So don't go away.
00:52:34Atomic clock in the new clock.
00:52:36The most accurate atomic clock in the world.
00:52:40That must be a beryllium clock.
00:52:42They're here.
00:52:42Excellent.
00:52:43They can take us straight to the Institute.
00:52:53We need to go straight to the Institute of Technological Advancement and Research.
00:52:59You know what that is?
00:53:00Of course I do.
00:53:15What time is it now?
00:53:16Half past ten.
00:53:17Don't worry.
00:53:18I'm on the board of trustees at the Institute.
00:53:20They'll listen to me.
00:53:20Will this thing go any faster?
00:53:23Come on.
00:53:24Come on.
00:53:24Come on.
00:53:24Come on.
00:53:25Come on.
00:53:25Can't you give him a sedative?
00:53:26Grace, why did you not say you've had access to a beryllium clock?
00:53:29I was more concerned about the Eye of Destruction.
00:53:32Harmony.
00:53:32Yes.
00:53:33Yes.
00:53:33And the fact that the planet will be sucked through it at midnight.
00:53:36I mean, basically, it's not often one has a time load in one's living room, Doctor.
00:53:40He likes me to call him Doctor.
00:53:41You know, Freud had a name for that.
00:53:44Transference.
00:53:44That's very witty, Grace.
00:53:45At least Freud would have taken me seriously.
00:53:47He'd have hung up his pipe if he'd met you.
00:53:48Actually, we did meet.
00:53:49Oh, that's right.
00:53:50He's a time lord.
00:53:51We did all very well.
00:53:53Did you know Madame Curie, too?
00:53:54Intimately.
00:53:55She kisses good as me?
00:53:56As well as you.
00:54:04Looks like a truck's blocking all the lanes.
00:54:09There you go.
00:54:14The planet's about to be destroyed, and I'm stuck in a traffic jam.
00:54:18Excuse me.
00:54:26Oh, my God!
00:54:28Oh, my God!
00:54:29No, no, no!
00:54:31Oh, no!
00:54:35I can't hear to light it.
00:54:38Come on.
00:54:39Get it out of me!
00:54:43Get it out of me!
00:54:44Get it out of me!
00:54:49Get it out of me!
00:54:50Get it out of me!
00:54:51Get it out of me!
00:54:53Yes!
00:54:55Just keep back!
00:54:57Right there, sir!
00:54:58Ma'am, we're back to your vehicle.
00:55:02What?
00:55:02No!
00:55:03He's, um...
00:55:04He's British!
00:55:06I suppose I am.
00:55:08Jelly baby officer?
00:55:08Jelly baby?
00:55:11Just take it.
00:55:12See me.
00:55:21Now, would you stand aside before I shoot myself?
00:55:26Don't be a fool.
00:55:27You with me, Grace?
00:55:28We don't stand a chance!
00:55:30Would you excuse me, please?
00:55:34Grace, I came back to life before your eyes.
00:55:36I held back death.
00:55:39Look, I can't make your dream come true forever, but I can make it come true today.
00:55:43Let's go!
00:55:43Let's go!
00:55:44Taxi's guy!
00:55:46Give me the gun.
00:55:48Come on.
00:55:50Paper buster!
00:55:52Come on.
00:55:52Oh, my God.
00:55:54Oh, my God.
00:55:55Oh, my God.
00:55:55Oh, my God.
00:55:55Oh, my God.
00:55:55Oh, my God.
00:55:56Oh, my God.
00:55:57Oh, my God.
00:55:58Okay.
00:55:59Give him the keys.
00:56:09You!
00:56:11You!
00:56:12What are we waiting for?
00:56:14The road's still locked.
00:56:15This is an ambulance.
00:56:18Right.
00:56:19Maybe I should have kept the gun.
00:56:39What?
00:56:39Look!
00:56:44Doctor, look out!
00:56:45We did great!
00:56:53Ah!
00:57:07Don't worry.
00:57:08I'm not worried.
00:57:09Oh, my God.
00:57:11Oh, my God.
00:57:12Oh, my God.
00:57:13Oh, my God.
00:57:13Oh, my God.
00:57:14Oh, my God.
00:57:14Oh, my God.
00:57:15Oh, my God.
00:57:15What are you doing, Lee?
00:57:20This way, Spiker.
00:57:21It better be.
00:57:22Look, this is my time.
00:57:23I know what I'm doing.
00:57:23Trust me.
00:57:24Faster.
00:57:25What's the plan, anyways?
00:57:27Let him get to the clock, then he'll get his body.
00:57:30I think we lost him.
00:57:32Good.
00:57:32Hold on.
00:57:33Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa,
00:57:37Hey, man, when I get all that gold, you know what I'm going to do?
00:57:49I don't want to know.
00:57:51You killed me.
00:57:53You want me to kill you?
00:57:54No! No, I mean, you make me laugh, man.
00:57:57You're a funny guy.
00:57:59I'm glad one of us is amused.
00:58:01Hey, look, cheer up, man.
00:58:02You'll get your body back soon, and then we're a team, right?
00:58:05Yes, we're a team.
00:58:07Yes, we're a team.
00:58:19Got it, Janet!
00:58:23Oh!
00:58:25Great!
00:58:26I finally meet the right guys from another planet!
00:58:33Woo!
00:58:33Doctor!
00:58:41Yes?
00:58:42I only have one life.
00:58:44Can you remember that?
00:58:46I'll try!
00:58:47Thank you!
00:58:48Oh, no!
00:59:00Doctor, look!
00:59:01Hey, boss!
00:59:13How are you?
00:59:13How are you?
00:59:13How are you?
00:59:13How are you?
00:59:13How are you?
00:59:14How are you?
00:59:14How are you?
00:59:14Yes, there you are.
00:59:16How are you?
00:59:17Dr. Grace Holloway and guest.
00:59:20Good morning.
00:59:21Hello.
00:59:21How are you?
00:59:21Happy New Year.
00:59:22Happy New Year.
00:59:23First time being on the board of this place has ever done me any good.
00:59:27He must have found a back way in.
00:59:28I can't see him.
00:59:29Sorry.
00:59:30You won't be on this point.
00:59:31Oh, this is Dr. Bowman from London.
00:59:33They're waiting for him.
00:59:34Come on.
00:59:34You'll be allowed in with everyone else.
00:59:36I'm on the board of prestige.
00:59:38Yes, sir.
00:59:39How are you?
00:59:40Thank you very much.
00:59:42Come on.
00:59:42Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Institute of Technological Advancement and Research.
00:59:51After dinner, Professor Wagg will invite you to join me and celebrate the efficient starting
00:59:55of the world's most accurate timepiece, the San Francisco Brilliant Atomic Club.
01:00:01You speak, Dr. Wagg, brilliant.
01:00:04How are we going to get that on the back of a bike?
01:00:19I know.
01:00:19We need only the tiniest part of it.
01:00:21People are starting to stay around.
01:00:23We just make conversations.
01:00:25Time travel's possible?
01:00:26Anything's possible.
01:00:27And why don't you have the ability to transform yourself into another species like that?
01:00:31Well, I do, you see, but only when I die.
01:00:33And that rival time, Lord?
01:00:34He's on his last life, fighting to survive, and the science has shown us over and over
01:00:39in the fight for survival.
01:00:40There are no rules.
01:00:42Also, Grace, if I tell you a secret you must promise not to tell.
01:00:46Oh, Professor Wagg, this is Dr. Bowman.
01:00:51He's from London.
01:00:52He was just going to share a secret with us.
01:00:54Yes, um, Professor, is there a chance of a closer look at the clock?
01:00:58No!
01:00:59No, I'm afraid that I am the only person allowed up there.
01:01:02Oh, Willie, we can't just bend the rules.
01:01:04No.
01:01:05But you see, I...
01:01:06Grace says that you have a big secret.
01:01:10What is it?
01:01:14I'm half human.
01:01:17On my mother's side.
01:01:22Very clever.
01:01:23Happy New Year.
01:01:26Yes, I think you must be.
01:01:27Champagne?
01:01:30Oh.
01:01:30Grace.
01:01:30Oh.
01:01:35This is when I wish I had my sonic screwdriver.
01:01:38What?
01:01:38What?
01:01:38See, I told you it was small.
01:02:02What is it they say?
01:02:04Yeah, they say they have my planet too.
01:02:05I know you.
01:02:13You do, huh?
01:02:14Gareth, answer the second question on your midterm exam.
01:02:18Not the third.
01:02:18The third may look easier, but you'll mess it up.
01:02:21What?
01:02:22Remember, answer the second question.
01:02:24Don't forget.
01:02:25I won't.
01:02:26Now, can I see what's in your hand, sir?
01:02:28What was that all about?
01:02:42Ten years from now, Gareth will head the seismology unit at the UCLA task force and devise a system
01:02:48for accurately predicting earthquakes.
01:02:49You mean that, don't you?
01:02:50Of course.
01:02:52This invention saved the human race several times, but first it must graduate in poetry.
01:02:55Look.
01:02:56There's the kid who took your stuff.
01:03:03You see what he's with?
01:03:05Come on.
01:03:05The master?
01:03:20You're lucky he only got your wrist.
01:03:29Why'd you do that?
01:03:30Liven things up.
01:03:31Come on.
01:03:31Come on.
01:03:31Come on.
01:03:32Come on.
01:03:33Come on.
01:03:34Come on.
01:03:35Come on.
01:03:38Don!
01:03:41You're afraid of heights, son?
01:03:43Yeah.
01:03:43So am I.
01:03:46Everyone, stay calm.
01:03:48Remain inside.
01:03:49Don't panic.
01:03:50Everything is under control.
01:04:03Keep upstairs.
01:04:04I'll show the exit.
01:04:05Doctor.
01:04:06I'll go again.
01:04:07You know what's going to happen to me?
01:04:20You don't want to know.
01:04:22Right.
01:04:22You can't not tell me.
01:04:23You don't want to know.
01:04:24Right.
01:04:25You can't not tell me.
01:04:26Grace.
01:04:27Oh, God.
01:04:27Ryan's going to move in again.
01:04:28I can't say.
01:04:29Please?
01:04:29The universe hangs by such a delicate thread of coincidence as it's useless to meddle with it.
01:04:44Unless, like me, you're a time lord.
01:04:45All right.
01:04:46All right.
01:04:47So just give me a few pointers.
01:04:48There she is.
01:04:50Police box?
01:04:51Key.
01:04:52Now, I always leave a spare key on a secret compartment above the door.
01:04:55A secret compartment above the door.
01:04:56Great minds think alike.
01:04:57Up you go.
01:04:58It's in a cubby hole above the P.
01:04:59Got it.
01:05:00Why a police box?
01:05:01It's cloaking device got stuck on a previous misadventure.
01:05:02I like it like this.
01:05:03Like it's knock him out.
01:05:04Don't drop him out.
01:05:05Don't drop him out.
01:05:06Don't drop him out.
01:05:07Don't go in inside.
01:05:08Stop him.
01:05:09Don't go in.
01:05:10Okay.
01:05:11It's preview of course.
01:05:12Don't go in it.
01:05:13A police box?
01:05:14Do you like theº 7i and Юlfield shop?
01:05:16Okay, so let me check out my microphone.
01:05:19That's awake.
01:05:20Before the other hour.
01:05:22Please be careful, Twiz.
01:05:24and do some views spouse for a Hooker.
01:05:27How could I eat 마무ery?
01:05:28One of the last trousers was you.
01:05:29We made some of my people.
01:05:31Once I met Ruby.
01:05:32Oh my. Wow.
01:05:48You hear that? Yeah.
01:05:50That's a warning. The TARDIS is dying.
01:05:54This is amazing.
01:05:56It's no good. We don't even have enough auxiliary power to move next door.
01:06:00The brilliant ship, Grace. Yes, Doctor.
01:06:03Careful. Yes, Doctor.
01:06:07This looks pretty low-tech.
01:06:09Low-tech? Grace, this is a Type 40 TARDIS able to take you to any planet in the universe
01:06:14and to any date in that planet's existence.
01:06:17Temporal physics. Oh, you mean like interdimensional transference.
01:06:21That would explain the spatial displacement we experienced as we passed over the threshold.
01:06:27This, if you like.
01:06:27Yes.
01:06:38There. The eye's closing.
01:06:42Now, let's see.
01:06:45Come on. Come on.
01:06:46Oh, no.
01:06:47What?
01:06:48I have a horrible feeling we're already too late.
01:06:50It's 11.48. We still have 11 minutes.
01:06:52There is no context. Hold on.
01:06:53What are you doing?
01:07:00I'm setting coordinates for one minute after midnight.
01:07:02Why?
01:07:02If this is true, the eye's been opened too long and there is no future.
01:07:05I only hope.
01:07:07No.
01:07:08Is this thing reliable?
01:07:10Whatever's happening can't be stopped by closing the eye.
01:07:11Well, how come you didn't know that?
01:07:13I haven't opened the eye before.
01:07:16Now you tell me.
01:07:18Grace, closing the eye may not be enough.
01:07:20We have to go back to before the eye was opened.
01:07:22Maybe even before we arrived.
01:07:24This is a time machine.
01:07:25With no power.
01:07:26What?
01:07:27The eye being opened so long must have drained the Tardif.
01:07:30Great.
01:07:31I'm sorry.
01:07:31You must have the power to get back. You must.
01:07:33Not enough.
01:07:34What about all those glorious predictions?
01:07:35All that knowledge about what's going to happen to Gareth, to me, to this city.
01:07:39That must come from somewhere. Think.
01:07:41Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
01:07:45Are you any good at setting alarm clocks?
01:07:49No.
01:07:49Grace.
01:07:50I'll try.
01:07:51Listen very carefully.
01:07:52Okay.
01:07:54We preset the coordinates just as I divert the power from within the eye itself into the time motor here.
01:07:58We jumpstart the Tardis.
01:07:59We jumpstart the Tardis.
01:08:01What do I do?
01:08:02Hit the top switch on the console, then.
01:08:03The top one.
01:08:06Good.
01:08:06Now press me the neutron ram.
01:08:11Grace.
01:08:13Grace, the neutron ram.
01:08:15Look, I'll show you.
01:08:24Oh, not you, Grace.
01:08:47Oh, this is no time to play doctors and nurses.
01:08:51It's no good talking to her.
01:08:53She's possessed.
01:08:55You.
01:08:57You took my things.
01:08:58Where are they?
01:08:58They're not your things anymore.
01:09:01Pretty soon everything around here is going to belong to the Master again.
01:09:04Again?
01:09:07What's he been telling you?
01:09:08When he gets his body back from you, I'm going to be rich.
01:09:12You believe it?
01:09:14Why shouldn't I?
01:09:16I suppose he neglected to mention that there won't be any place left to spend your money.
01:09:20Which is why we have no time to waste.
01:09:24But time to change.
01:09:31I always dreads for the occasion.
01:09:36Well, I'm glad to see that you were aware of the gravity of the situation.
01:09:39I never liked this planet, Doctor.
01:09:41Well, that's good, because any minute now it shall cease to exist.
01:09:44What's the time?
01:09:45Time enough for me to get my body, get out of here, and take Lee with me.
01:09:52Lee is the son I have always yearned for.
01:09:58Oh, please.
01:10:01Grace.
01:10:03Put it on him.
01:10:04I suspect you know how.
01:10:09Lee, this is my TARDIS.
01:10:12This is my eye, and I am in my own body.
01:10:14The Masterhead's run out of all his life.
01:10:16Now he plans to steal mine.
01:10:17That's the truth.
01:10:19Look at Grace.
01:10:19She's possessed by evil, not goodness.
01:10:30This won't hurt.
01:10:32Much.
01:10:33Do you think I would make?
01:10:42Hey, baby.
01:10:43Hey, baby.
01:10:50My life's work.
01:10:59Aum.
01:11:05Aum.
01:11:05Aum.
01:11:05Aum.
01:11:11In 700 years, no one has managed to open the eye.
01:11:14How did you do it?
01:11:16Simple.
01:11:17Lee is human, and you are only half.
01:11:19Lee, open the eye for me, please.
01:11:21Ladies and gentlemen, in three minutes, the world will enter a new millennium, and with
01:11:33it, a new standard of accuracy will come to how we measure time.
01:11:39What do you mean it won't start?
01:12:00Lee, this is your last chance.
01:12:02This is my only chance.
01:12:03He's right, Doctor.
01:12:05There's nothing for him here.
01:12:06No family, no gangs, only death.
01:12:09But with me, he gets to see the universe.
01:12:12This is his last chance to stay alive, and you know it.
01:12:15What do you know of last chances?
01:12:17More than you.
01:12:18I have wasted all my lives because of you, Doctor.
01:12:23And I would be rid of him.
01:12:24All your lives?
01:12:26Didn't you tell Lee I'd stolen your lives?
01:12:28Lee, he's lying.
01:12:30He's used all his lives.
01:12:31Now he wants mine.
01:12:33Like I told you, this is my TARDIS.
01:12:34This is my body.
01:12:37Don't believe it.
01:12:38Open the eye.
01:12:41He said it himself, Lee.
01:12:43He's wasted his lives.
01:12:44All of them.
01:12:49Open the eye.
01:12:51No.
01:12:53You lied to me.
01:13:01Lee.
01:13:01Lee.
01:13:03Lee.
01:13:06I would never lie to you.
01:13:08I would only protect you.
01:13:13No!
01:13:20How will you open the eye now?
01:13:22Grace, come here.
01:13:25Unless I'm mistaken in her present state of mind, that won't work.
01:13:30Her eyes aren't human anymore.
01:13:34Watch.
01:13:40See?
01:13:42Now they're human.
01:13:44No.
01:13:44No, Grace.
01:13:46Close your eyes.
01:13:47Too late.
01:13:59Goodbye.
01:14:00Oh, my gosh.
01:14:02My brain!
01:14:03Your sight will return, Grace.
01:14:05What's happening?
01:14:27We can't move.
01:14:29So long as the eye links us.
01:14:31Remember, Drake, remember.
01:14:33Rearound the power.
01:14:34I can't go, Rune.
01:14:35Go.
01:14:36But you'll die if I leave you.
01:14:38We'll all die if you don't.
01:14:40Run.
01:14:41Run, Drake.
01:14:43I'm taking the lives of our guys.
01:14:47Run.
01:14:47I can hear your thoughts, Doctor.
01:15:07I can feel your memories.
01:15:09This can't be how it ends.
01:15:26I'll stop this.
01:15:28Please.
01:15:29Stop!

01:16:54I'm alive!
01:16:56That's all the time we have.
01:16:57Three.
01:16:58I am alive!
01:17:05One!
01:17:28We have to go back to before the eye was open. Maybe even before we arrived.
01:17:35Alarm clock. Think alarm clock.
01:17:44Temporal orbit. What's the temporal orbit?
01:17:58No!
01:18:17She did it.
01:18:21Your life force is dying, Master.
01:18:28They are in temporal orbit, Doctor. What is it?
01:18:36What is it?
01:18:39What is it?

01:19:26Life is wasted on the living.
01:19:27You want dominion over the living, yet all you do is kill!
01:19:39Life is wasted on the living.
01:19:57Give me your hand!
01:20:12Where are you?
01:20:14Doctor!
01:20:18Come, come back!
01:20:27We are coming.
01:20:35We are in charge.
01:20:40We are in charge.
01:22:15I have your things.
01:22:20Hello, Grace.
01:22:22Well, how does it feel?
01:22:25It's all like death.
01:22:27Incredible. Did you see that?
01:22:48What a sentimental old thing this TARDIS is.
01:22:52Well, congratulations.
01:22:54You both went somewhere I'd never been.
01:22:56There's nothing to scare enough, Doctor.
01:22:58I'm glad to hear it.
01:23:00Did we go back far enough?
01:23:01Either that or I'm talking to a couple of ghosts and I don't believe in ghosts.
01:23:04So, uh, where's the master?
01:23:20And the gesture.
01:23:21So, let's see where we are.
01:23:28There.
01:23:29The future.
01:23:31Wow.
01:23:32Look over there.
01:23:33On the other side of your galaxy, that's home.
01:23:35Gallifrey.
01:23:36250 million light years away.
01:23:39There's a good ten minutes in this old thing.
01:23:44So, where are we?
01:23:48December 29th.
01:23:50Do you want to get off here?
01:23:50I don't think I could live through that again.
01:23:54Uh, I definitely wouldn't live through that again.
01:23:56Reason enough.
01:23:57Oh, my God.
01:24:27I think it's not funny.

01:25:55Me!
01:25:57Next Christmas, take a vacation.
01:26:01Just don't be here.
01:26:05Right.
01:26:06Thanks.
01:26:08Thanks, doctor.
01:26:13See you around, Grace.
01:26:15Happy new year.

01:26:17Interfering again.
01:26:19And, Grace, something you should know.
01:26:19Don't tell me.
01:26:21Buenos.
01:26:22I know who I am.
01:26:24That's enough.
01:26:25I'm glad.

01:26:54That's not what I meant.
