00:00Durandr happened out of nowhere.
00:06You ready?
00:08Hi, this is Rebelle.
00:10I am from the Northeast.
00:12My story is nothing special.
00:15I had a dream and I wanted to be bigger than where I came from.
00:21The name Rebelle.
00:22I've always been a very rebellious person, still am.
00:26I didn't think I would get into the movies industry that soon.
00:32Durandr happened out of nowhere.
00:34It was amazing. Durandr was a very beautiful experience.
00:37And Run Down the City of Monika is definitely one of my favorite songs.
00:41I love that remix. I think it's really cool.
00:44I don't think I'm a DHH star. I'm not there yet.
00:47But I hope to become one someday.
00:49As a teen, I was definitely very problematic.
00:52I never understood rules and regulations. I hate norms.
00:55I don't feel like I fit in the box.
00:57I just don't like being put in a box. I don't like societal norms.
01:00I don't think a lot of it makes sense.
01:01It does not make sense to my brain.
01:03And yep, that's how I came up with the name Rebelle.
01:05Because I actually live by it.
01:09Most of my upbringing, you know, my teenage years were definitely in Shillong.
01:12And also in West Jantia Hills.
01:14Growing up, I always knew I wanted to do something with music.
01:17Of course, I did have a lot of moments where I felt like it was not sustainable.
01:21I did finish my engineering degree.
01:23I always loved science.
01:24And I thought I was going to work as an engineer and make music on this side.
01:28But I got really lucky.
01:29The moment I got my degree, my career started going places.
01:38You know, it started doing its thing.
01:40So I definitely chose music because I'm more drawn towards that than anything else.
01:47I don't think I would ever survive in a 9 to 5 environment.
01:50I think that shit sucks.
01:51I think I doubt myself every day.
01:54I still doubt myself.
01:55I don't think I'm good enough.
01:56I don't like the thought of success getting into your head.
01:59I know that I can do more.
02:01There's always more.
02:02What inspires me is life, emotions, life, existence.
02:07As long as you're existing, experiencing life, there's always more.
02:11So nothing is like original.
02:13It's all inspired by different things.
02:15But having your own style is giving it that little piece of you.
02:21I think that's a very beautiful process.
02:23That's music.
02:24That's art.
02:25This is Rebelle.
02:30Thanks for watching more.
02:31Catch y'all next time.
02:32Peace out.
