00:01
Deep in the Antarctic ice lies the IceCube Neutrino Observatory.
00:07
Since 2011, it has been detecting light emitted from particle collisions in the Antarctic ice.
00:15
An enormous number of neutrinos pass through the detector every second.
00:20
IceCube detects 100,000 neutrinos per year that are created in the Earth's atmosphere.
00:27
In contrast, there are only about 100 neutrinos arriving from the cosmos per year.
00:34
It is difficult to filter these few cosmic neutrinos out from the rest,
00:39
but so far there has been some evidence that two galaxies are emitting neutrinos.
00:45
Researchers of the IceCube collaboration have now succeeded in filtering the large number of neutrinos with the help of machine learning.
00:54
Neutrinos can now be found originating from the Milky Way.
01:04
We are looking into the future of astronomy research.
01:08
New machine learning methods and neutrinos can reveal information from places in the Universe that were previously obscured by gas and dust.
01:18
Independent researchers are modelling the distribution of neutrinos in the Milky Way.
01:30
They expect to find particularly large numbers of these high-energy particles,
01:36
where charged particles undergo acceleration in extreme magnetic fields and collide with other particles,
01:48
presumably in star-forming regions, something that can be tested with IceCube data in the future.
01:55
This observation established neutrinos as a new tool of astrophysics,
02:03
which let us peer into regions of space from which light cannot escape.
02:09
As you can see, if you can now, the future of NOT-ing is the individual of NINESSAPE.
02:12
The mussulber is that theashed person who doable,
02:14
but with Cifice has been discovered for quite a lot of years.
02:15
Come on with infernaloons in these maps and have a lot of new maps of science.
02:16
You can also find the most few of the most of them who are not using this map.
02:17
It's time for you to continue to be one of the most different maps of the world's list.
02:18
You can see your colours and you can see your face and you can see them in the future as you are able to keep away with all your faces.
02:19
Here are the first known colours and you can escape.
02:20
You can see the most of their faces of the stars coming along with your faces.
02:21
And you can see the most of the most interesting locations allowed.
02:26
I can see every single of the ages that you can see their elements.
