02:46No no
03:14Thanks
03:44I don't know what good news to bring.
04:14I am Rabia
04:16They will inherit from me and I will inherit from them
04:26Congratulations to Sala
04:28It is forbidden for a slave to be freed from another slave's possession.
04:46I don't envy him if that's what you mean.
04:51Yes, I envy him.
04:54I envy him
04:55He did not free him until he made him his son.
04:57He is attributed to him and he inherits from him.
05:02Because he was a slave from the Arabs
05:04Who are we?
05:06Slavery and blackness
05:09If God created
05:11Why did He create us black and white?
05:13Do you hate your skin color, you brute?
05:15Don't you hate him?
05:16If I hate him, I will torment myself.
05:18And I hate him for my own sake.
05:19How can I not hate him when people are mocking me because of him?
05:21If I were like them, things would be different.
05:23Are you now just like them, you savage?
05:25Like them?
05:27Don't you see your color through their eyes?
05:31Because I was their slave
05:34For they are slaves to their own desires and ambitions.
05:37They neither see the truth nor find a way out.
05:39This sounds strange to me.
05:45And today you saw me standing on the heads of the masters
05:48I see no man among them more light-spirited and free-spirited than I.
05:52You were throwing illusions at me
05:58Don't say anything about the words we heard today from a relative.
06:00What are you talking about?
06:01Woe to you
06:03Do you have an ear like theirs, yet you do not hear?
06:06It was only when Abu Hudhayfa brought Salim and testified to his generosity
06:10You stand there and don't hear?
06:12My master taught me that if I am in their gatherings, I should neither hear nor see.
06:17Their situation is not my concern.
06:19Unless I am ordered to obey
06:22indeed
06:24I know they were talking about Muhammad and his religion
06:29What do you think?
06:31What is his opinion?
06:33Are you mocking me, son of a dove?
06:35That a slave like me should have an opinion on matters concerning the Quraysh
06:39This is where opinions are expressed.
06:41Here
06:43Man sees himself first
06:46When a person possesses that quality
06:51What do I care about Muhammad's affair?
06:55You won't know until you ask and investigate.
06:58I don't need that to know his opinion
07:01If you have my opinion
07:03My opinion is that the religion of Muhammad means no more to me than the religion of the Quraysh.
07:07This is their business and has nothing to do with someone like me.
07:09Woe to you
07:11But Muhammad did not send only the Quraysh.
07:13But the Arabs were not the only ones sent
07:15He was sent to all of mankind
07:17Arabic
07:19Al-Ajami
07:20Black and white
07:21And how did you know all this, Ibn Hamama?
07:26If you listened to people the way I listen to them
07:29I've never known anyone like me
07:31I told all the people
07:34For the free man and the slave
07:40Do you think that if I trusted Muhammad tomorrow he would free me from slavery?
07:43If you had truly listened to the words of the Quraysh, you would have known that they were striving to restrain him and their enemy, even though he was the most noble of them in lineage and the best of them in character.
07:52Is it an omen that you would respond to his command if he ordered them to do so?
08:02If it is the truth, then there is no condition upon it.
08:05He seeks the truth for its own sake.
08:07And the immediate price is not negotiable
08:10For God does not harm man in this way so that he may prevail over others.
08:15Each person will receive their due reckoning with justice and fairness.
08:17Did you really hear all of this from people?
08:29only?
08:43Who are you?
08:44Ibn Abi Khahafa
08:52We thought you were just a figment of our imagination.
08:55I was even the first to join the condemned one
08:59And you were not content with yourself until you corrupted those who were corrupted.
09:04Damn you
09:09And you, shepherd boy
09:11Did you become deceived into thinking that you had advanced to what you were in?
09:16But you will not find among us a man who would trust you with his sheep after this.
09:23Until you die of hunger
09:26And a dog herding sheep
09:29Better than you and your entertainment
09:31And good news
09:33And good news
09:35And be warned of a punishment that is near.
09:38Let's see if this
09:42Or someone else can pay for you
09:46Since you have no clan to protect you
09:50What a terrible neighbor you are!
09:54Peace
09:56Peace be upon those who do not seek the company of the ignorant.
10:02Good news!
10:04Good news!
10:06this
10:09The Messenger of God spoke the truth.
10:11It is God for Abu Jahl
10:13I am amazed at how God defends His Prophet.
10:16They insult a despicable person
10:18He is Muhammad, the Messenger of God
10:20By God, I have vowed to curse him even if it means my death.
10:23We have been forbidden from doing this
10:25Rather, the Messenger of God was sent as a guide and a bearer of good tidings.
10:29And as a warning with wisdom and good instruction
10:32Then their return is to God.
10:35And you, Ibn Masoud
10:37The people who memorized the Quran
10:39How could you miss the words of God Almighty?
10:42Do not insult those they invoke besides Allah.
10:45They curse God out of enmity and ignorance.
10:48Thus We have made pleasing to every nation their deeds.
10:53Then to their Lord is their return.
10:55He will inform them of what they used to do.
10:58God and His Messenger have spoken the truth.
11:01I swear to God, I hear and the hour
11:09Welcome, my uncle
11:11No welcome
11:13Didn't I forbid you?
11:15Didn't I forbid you, cousin?
11:17What you forbade me from doing
11:18Please don't contradict my opinion in front of people.
11:20Have you not seen Utbah ibn Rabi'ah?
11:23Are they expressing their opinion while hinting at another opinion?
11:26Or did you want it to be said?
11:27They improved their opinion and were more rational in their judgment.
11:31Is this why you came at this hour?
11:34Listen, Abu al-Hakam?
11:35Why don't you call upon God, you ignorant father?
11:37As Muhammad and his companions claim?
11:39Shouldn't we meet to consult?
11:41So, the only option is for everyone to express their opinion.
11:44Then the people agree on one of them
11:45If not, then don't let everyone impose their opinion on you.
11:49Then people will not agree on anything
11:51It belongs to whoever is victorious
11:53Yes, indeed.
11:55Who won?
11:57So people will only communicate with swords.
11:59The defeated does not spend the night without plotting against the victor.
12:02No, Abu al-Hakam
12:04I will not hide my opinion in order to please you.
12:07And not out of enmity towards Muhammad and opposition to his religion, but
12:10Ah, this confusion
12:14It's as if you two are arguing
12:16Ask your son this
12:18It's as if you didn't teach him great respect.
12:21Especially the one who was most merciful
12:24Welcome, welcome, welcome!
12:27Please come in, please come in
12:29Hello, hello
12:31Welcome
12:33Hello
12:35Hello
12:36Oh, how easy!
12:38This is your father and your brother, Abu Jandal, with my father and my brother.
12:40Go out to them
12:42Why didn't you tell me about the crazy people, I'm your father
12:45And this is Hamouk Abbo Yazid
12:48Why didn't you consult me?
12:50I saw hatred in your face and your words that day
12:54When you saw me and Salem eating from the same dish
12:57Don't pay attention to what I dislike
12:59I hope you like what I like
13:02And those I love
13:04And if I don't
13:05I will do my best to please you
13:08But if the good and the truth become clear to me
13:11So I made up my mind and did it
13:13Father
13:18How are you, aunties?
13:20And you, are you satisfied with what your husband did to Salem?
13:25How could I not be pleased when he is like a son to me?
13:29I would not disobey my husband's command, even if I disliked it.
13:32And you, my father, were not the first to rebuke me
13:38Salem
13:39my lord
13:40minimum
13:41American
13:42You
13:43hearing
13:55Did you like it, girl?
14:03Know, Salim, that I was not pleased with what Abu Hudhaifah did for you.
14:15But
14:17Now that he has done so and people have witnessed it, I am pleased with my family.
14:24What befalls you or blemishes you befalls us and blemishes us in their eyes.
14:33We follow the doctrine of the people, and you do not know them.
14:40So stay close to your father, Abu Hudhayfah, and treat him as he treated you.
14:45By God, I will never leave him as long as I live, and I will sacrifice myself for him.
14:51I have learned that you are the most rational of people, O eternal one, and the most faithful of sinners.
14:56You don't need to flatter or be hypocritical towards me
15:00You are my son, even if you are obliged to me as I like.
15:05I paved the way for you so that you would become the leader of the next people.
15:10As I told you, I don't see myself as being able to do this.
15:15And this brother of mine, Al-Walid, is more deserving and suitable.
15:19Bring me a drink of water, Salem
15:22This is for Khalid
15:31Rather, shorten your vision
15:47And I responded with my sight and judgment to the first one that was yours
15:51When it came to you, I accused my eyesight.
15:53It is not said that Omar Khalid was the first to arrive twice.
15:58He is your cousin and a Makhzumi like you
16:00I acknowledged the first and denied the second.
16:03You are not the kind of ruler whose government we would accept.
16:05If he is my cousin and from my tribe
16:07I am your uncle, your friend, your close companion, and your confidant.
16:11I was even ruling in favor of your cousin now
16:14Pleasing everyone is an unattainable goal, Ayash.
16:17The most wretched of people is he who is content to be a judge between people.
16:21And what do you say, which of us came first in this?
16:25I bet on him, I greeted him
16:28So I
16:29I bet on him and he betrayed me.
16:36Here you have won twice
16:38twice
16:39You are the first one
16:41And it didn't disappoint me
16:43Mistrust divided us
16:45I am in the first place and you are in the second.
16:47Why don't you say
16:48I divided good faith between you two
16:50I had a life in the first
16:52And you had the second
16:53He hit the nail on the head twice.
16:57And Omar ibn al-Asil is fortunate
16:59Your mother entrusted you to her
17:00What luck
17:01But I looked at Omar's horse as they finished the first round
17:05I found him sweating profusely.
17:07No one sweated like Jawad Khalid
17:09I realized that he had exhausted his efforts
17:12And the second will be on him
17:14So the horse was too short for the rider.
17:17The horse depends on its rider.
17:21Don't be stubborn, Omar
17:22Isn't this Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib?
17:29By God, it is he
17:30He went out hunting as usual
17:34Should we accompany him and travel with him?
17:35After what happened between us and Hashim?
17:37Hamza did not convert to the religion of Muhammad
17:40As for us, our elders have spared us from delving into this matter.
17:43Except for Omar
17:44He became a leader and made ordinary sheikhs unnecessary.
17:47And by God, he is a knight whose like cannot be found.
17:51No one from Quraysh will wash their hands in your clothes and your appearance
18:18Good morning
18:21Where are you going, Abdullah?
18:24In some of my affairs
18:25Is there something you're keeping from me?
18:28It's not something I'll keep secret or reveal.
18:31Why don't you go out with your father and brother to the people's club?
18:39Or do you prefer to stay away from your father's council?
18:41I neither desire it nor do I wish to be without it.
18:44If my company and the company of others are the same to you, then let my company be your companion.
18:49Every bird has its own watering place.
18:52And his drink is not obligatory for you
18:54Oh my father, I have no strength to bear your anger.
18:57Do you say every time I speak to you that I have no energy?
19:00What do you do in your gatherings other than discuss Muhammad and his companions?
19:05And you call it wading? Do you not know what it has done to us?
19:08Tell me, my father, what has happened to you?
19:10Our worshipers and our origins
19:12Are you more protective of your gods and your religion than she is of herself?
19:15Don't you go to her whenever something troubles you?
19:18So you seek refuge with her, ask her for help, and consult her with your arrows?
19:23Should we do it or not?
19:25And you slaughter animals there so that she will be pleased with you and bestow her bounty upon you?
19:29She is more deserving of defending herself and you.
19:31Leave Muhammad to her.
19:33She is capable of handling it.
19:35Unless you are in doubt about her ability
19:38Get out of here, I don't need you.
19:41Look at you
19:45Couldn't you find a better outfit than this to wear when you go out in public?
19:51What could they possibly say about us?
19:53It's alright, Father
19:54People have come to know of your generosity towards strangers.
19:56They will not accuse you soon.
19:58And if they do, their lie will be exposed, my brother Abu Jandal.
20:01Won't you come with me, Abu Jandal?
20:05Abu Jandal
20:06Who are you graduating with?
20:16I don't know what caused that strife
20:18I don't see him obeying me
20:20The sons of 'Amir ibn Yu'i all obeyed me.
20:24How can you extract me from the loins of one man?
20:27Then you disagree with me so much
20:29What difference does it make?
20:31His boldness and your politeness
20:33I never knew before today that boldness and politeness are opposites
20:37Isn't cowardice a constraint on boldness?
20:39Is rudeness the opposite of politeness?
20:41What did you mean by these meanings in distinguishing between me and my brother?
20:45Or did you mean all of them?
20:47Where did all this eloquence come from in my son today?
20:51From our father, Suhayl ibn Umar, the orator of Quraysh
20:55And if eloquence has failed you today in responding to Abdullah
20:59Which of them has the greater right to pay for the other?
21:05Are you the mothers of your gods and idols?
21:07Should we defend her so that she may benefit from it?
21:11Let me know that
21:15O people of Khuraysh, has this season arrived?
21:21Arab delegations will come to you on this matter, and they have heard about your companion. So agree on one opinion regarding him, and do not disagree, lest some of you accuse others of lying.
21:35So, Abu Abd Al-Shams, did you see Muhammad and hear from him?
21:43So speak up, and give us an opinion that we can agree upon?
21:47No, no, no, you speak so I can listen
21:51We say priest
21:53Yes, priest
21:55No, by God, he is not a priest.
21:57Have we seen the soothsayers?
21:59It is neither the words of a priest nor rhymed prose.
22:02So we say he's crazy?
22:04crazy
22:06Is he crazy?
22:08We have seen madness and we know it, so what is it in its throbbing, its speeds, or its whispers?
22:16A poet, then?
22:18Is he a poet?
22:20We know all of poetry, its rhyming, rajaz, qasida and masbuta forms, so what is poetry?
22:26We say magician
22:28He is a magician
22:30What is he, a magician?
22:32We have seen the sorcerers and their magic, so what is it about them or their knots?
22:38So what should we say, Abu Abd al-Shams?
22:42By God, his words are sweet, and they have a charm, and his origin is abundant, and his branch is fruitful. You will not say anything of this except that it will be known to be false. So should we go out to the Arabs and describe to them the sweetness of what Muhammad says, and then order them to deny it? What is this that they should deny?
23:10What is this, Abu Abd Al Shams?
23:14The closest thing to say about him is that he is a sorcerer, a sorcerer who came with a saying that is sorcerer, who sows discord between a man and his slave, between a man and his brother, and between a man and his wife.
23:40Tell me, was my opinion correct? I mean, what better way to describe it than through magic among the Arabs?
24:02By God, magic cannot separate a man from his father, his brother, or his wife, so that one believes in it and another disbelieves in it, and they separate because of that.
24:13Perhaps it is as you said, Father, and the people have agreed with your opinion.
24:19I have asked, my father, and I swear to God I will not lie to you.
24:30I am amazed, my father, how can something and its opposite be true in your mind?
24:36Didn't you describe the Quran in the most beautiful and best way?
24:40By God, if a man from among Muhammad’s companions were asked about it, he would not add anything to what I have said. So how can you suggest to people after that that they should say it is magic that separates?
24:49Where is the slander, Father?
24:51Hold your tongue, Walid. You have done nothing more than accuse your father of slander.
24:56Rather, I hoped he would be acquitted of it, and the people obeyed him, but knowing full well that it was false, as my father himself testified. And they will hold him accountable for it even if they act according to his opinion, for it is not in the nature of an Arab to lie to his own noble leader.
25:11As for the Arab delegations to the season, let them hear from Muhammad what my father heard, and let them find in him what my father found, for they are people of eloquence, and they have minds, ears, and hearts like ours.
25:24Then they realize that what we accuse Muhammad of is false, slanderous, and unjust, and they overlook these abominations and criticize him for them?
25:33Indeed, you have not deviated from the truth, O Walid, and you have found me in confusion and obstinacy. So advise us, what do you say to the people about whom you accuse him in their presence?
25:53God, I can't believe what I'm hearing! Tell people what you tell yourselves, and then we will have aided Muhammad against yourselves.
26:08If you cannot speak the truth, then hold back. The best course of action is to keep him away from the people, as far as we are able.
26:23Why did he loosen his tongue now, when he was previously weak in hand and tongue?
26:34Do not speak ill of your brother, Khalid, just because he is not from your mother? He is my son, and your rights are with me. Do not let yourself be deceived into thinking you are stronger than him, or that you are the master of the Quraysh, their horses, and their reins. Two men have always been the leaders of the Arabs: one with his sword, and one with his forbearance and patience.
27:02It is not the word of a poet—you rarely believe—nor the word of a soothsayer—you rarely remember. It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. God is the Greatest.
27:25Allah is great
27:27What is this?
27:29What is this?
27:33Woe to you, Abu Hudhaifa! Woe to you, woe to your mother, and woe to your father! This is the injustice I have suffered: that I die without seeing him. What shall I say to people if they dream of him?
27:47Should I never send anything? Should I fear people when God is more deserving of my fear?
27:51Your Lord commands you to call upon your father
27:53Rather, he commands me to be dutiful to him as long as I live, and he linked that to his oneness, which is the foundation of Islam, saying
28:00And your Lord has decreed, you said the verse, O Salim, for you are more knowledgeable of the Quran than I am.
28:04Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to your parents. If one or both of them reach old age with you, do not say to them 'Ugh,' nor repel them, but speak to them a noble word. And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, 'My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up when I was small.'
28:24Indeed, each of us is commanded to be dutiful to our parents, even if they persist in polytheism and fight against their children for it. We must not obey them in polytheism, and we must maintain good relations with them.
28:37If they strive to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them, but treat them kindly in this world.
28:46This man, who was your servant in preserving your Qur’an and knowledgeable about your religion, has come before you. Is this the one you saw leading you in your prayers?
28:58Yes, my dear, it is a gift that God has bestowed upon him. He does not hear a verse from the Messenger of God until he has memorized it. He helps us to memorize, and he keeps me safe during prayer, and there is no harm in that.
29:10The earth has become corrupt, the earth and all that is on it have become corrupt, indeed, Muhammad has corrupted it, raising the lowly and lowering the exalted.
29:23Rather, everyone is raised to the same level, distinguished only by piety, and piety here is known and weighed only by God.
29:32If, as you say, he commands us to honor our parents, then by your own actions towards your father, you disobey my command and become
29:43Rather, righteousness is what I call you to, my father.
29:45By God, I will not do it, and do not let the Quraysh say that Utbah converted to Christianity and left his people.
29:52Now, I have prolonged my argument, and I adjure you to return to the religion of your father and your people.
30:02Do you swear to me? By what, my father? By God and glory? By idols you make? And when their age is fulfilled, you prostrate yourselves before them, so that what you make becomes a maker, and what you fashion with your hands becomes a creator.
30:15Is this good? Or is it God, the One, the Almighty, who created people and commanded them to worship Him and emulate His example?
30:24Show mercy as you would like God to show mercy to you, be just as God is just to you, do good as God is good to you, give as you would like God to give to you, be generous as God is generous to you, be one nation as God is one Lord
30:41Is this better, or are there separate gods in the likeness of your divisions? And idols you have made in the likeness of your images and purposes? Since when have the scales been so close, that a man makes his own god?
30:54What is going on here? Your servant only came to ask for our presence because of a very serious matter?
31:01Tell them, Abu Khadhifa, tell your sister's husband, Abu Sufyan, tell your donkey, Abu Huzayd, tell your sister
31:13What have you done?
31:21Is there anything that has happened in our time except what Muhammad has done?
31:26Has your son converted to Islam?
31:31Did you do it? Did you do it?
31:36May God curse you and what this day has brought upon us?
31:40What a disgrace!
31:44What a disgrace!
31:47Strike the disobedient child
31:51And call upon the young men of Abd Shams to harm and torment him until he returns, otherwise we will suffer eternal shame because of him.
31:59Gather your belongings and leave with me; don't remain under his protection now that he has converted.
32:10I am on his religion, my father, so I will not abandon him nor will I abandon my religion.
32:13Oh, what a disaster! May God curse you, you two, Abu Abd Shams and I, for urging people to abandon Muhammad, and our people are blinded by us, and then the enemy comes out of our homes and our loins. What remains for us of opinion and judgment among the people? They say, fix your homes first, and if they say that, then they have spoken the truth. And you are still plotting against Muhammad, so you advance and then you hold back.
32:30So start with what you have, and people will excuse you. I am calling you to the truth, and you are calling me to the people. The truth is what we found people upon, and what people found their fathers upon. Which is better?
33:00Is it a living being that chooses for itself, takes from its present for its future, and paves the way for those ahead of it, or a living being that relies on its dead, and takes from its present for its past?
33:11And if you say people, then what people? Do you not see the companions of Muhammad increasing? Are they not among the people? So what will you do when one day God makes their religion manifest? And by God, it will happen, and this multitude of people will be included in it.
33:25What can you say? It was false at the beginning, and became true at the end. Is this how the truth is known?
33:34If that happens while you are alive, and people have preceded you and you have fallen behind, where will your homes be in relation to them then?
33:41And now you oppose the Prophet out of fear for your homes. If you wish to preserve them, then hasten to Islam, so that your homes in it may be like your homes in the pre-Islamic era.
33:54What kind of house is this?
34:00And our Lord is closer, and how? He has preceded us in Islam.
34:05What is more important then, that we intensify our enmity towards Muhammad, and that we separate him from the people, so that they do not multiply around him, and if they do, then let it be with the sword?
34:15There is no power nor strength except with God. God is my party, and He is the best of guardians.
34:20I can't take any more of this, I can't.
34:26O Abu Sufyan, will you not sit down and listen to me?
34:30Rather, honor my hearing
34:40And you, Abu Zayd?
34:45And you, my brother, our sheikh fears his people after they have blackened him, but you are tempted while your heart is still tender.
34:57Our father never leaves his people, and I never leave my father.
35:01And if he calls you to the torment of Hellfire
35:04Hellfire? I don't understand these terms: fire, paradise, hell.
35:08Because, if our enemies wouldn't gloat over us, it would be because of your speed, but I'm waiting until my father brings you down.
35:17O Arabs, you know that we are the people of Al-Khurm and its guardians. No one has ever intended evil against us, except that God has thwarted him and turned his plot against him.
35:45The story of the elephant is not far from you, and this man has appeared among us, about whom you have heard, claiming something about him, which is not true. He wants to cut down our marble, insult our fathers, and criticize our gods.
36:10And what we see is that our ignorant and foolish people have followed him. I say this about him, and he is one of us, one of us, the people of Quraysh. I would have been the first person to expose his faults when the Arab delegations came, due to the kinship between us, if it were not for the fact that he introduced a matter, made it public, then called for it, and made it public.
36:37I knew that if I did not warn you, you would play with it, and if I did not advise you about it, you would bear its burden and its consequences. Therefore, it became our duty to be sincere with you in giving advice, just as we were sincere with you in preserving this relationship.
36:59We consulted on this matter before your arrival, and we found ourselves torn between concealing it, thinking of his mercy towards us, or warning the Arabs of his magic and seduction. So we chose the best of you over the best of him, even though he was one of us.
37:21O people of forbearance, I implore you, by the sanctity of this place, to be fair. If what he brought was good, would we not be the first people to follow him?
37:33We are his family and clan, so why would we favor people over him when he says, “Follow me, and the Arab leaders will submit to you”? And we say, “The Arabs have recognized our right and our worth, so what need do we have to fight them?”
37:54Indeed, he is a sorcerer who wants to separate a man from his family, and a man from his wealth. If we have refused him, then it is not fitting for us to accept for the Arabs what we ourselves disliked from our friend.
38:09Justice forbids it, and chivalry forbids it, so avoid it as we have avoided it, and reject it as we have rejected it, so that you may be safe from its consequences, and your pilgrimage may be completed, and you may return to your families guided.
38:25As Abu Yazid said, I am his uncle, Muhammad's uncle, rather he is a liar, a liar, and I was the first person to prevent him and defend him.
38:40But chivalry forbids it. I would not write about you as a testimony of truth, for it is the trust of my father, Abdul-Muttalib, who is whom you know, and whose virtues have been passed down through generations.
38:55I used to love him, meaning I loved him, and I even married my daughter to my son. But when that disgraceful act appeared from him, I divorced him and disowned him, and I made my sons divorce my daughter.
39:10Yes, I loved him, but I love my religion more, and I love this village more, and I bear witness to this before you.
39:24He is a liar, a liar, so beware of him and avoid him. His price will not harm you.
39:34This is his uncle's testimony, and what remains beyond that, the devices cut off the speech of every orator.
39:44Or has your foot failed you, O helpless one, that you would turn away from me?
39:57Enough, my father, why are you rebuking me when my brother Abdullah is accompanying you at all?
40:02As for this, I have given up on it. What would have been wrong with you if you had waited patiently with me until I finished, so that you could learn from me the art of speech? The tongue may be sharper than the spear.
40:13I tried, my father, I swear I tried to please you, but my heart became constricted. People may not be alike, even father and son.
40:20If someone resembles his father, then he is not unjust. If I do not resemble you, then I am the one who is unjust.
40:27What makes you laugh?
40:30Abu Jandal only went out with you reluctantly, so do not force your son to do what he dislikes, lest he become two-faced, concealing one thing and revealing another.
40:41Tell him, Abu Jandal, speak up and don't be afraid, tell him what you used to tell me.
40:47I?
40:50I didn't say anything.
40:52I say, perhaps, my father, you have returned today and you are pleased with yourself for what you have conveyed on behalf of Muhammad with your tongue.
40:59And by God, you are not the most eloquent of the Quraysh, but eloquence is either an argument for its owner or an argument against him.
41:07Like a sharp sword, you use it to repel injustice or to inflict injustice, and that is injustice, my father, not that your son should be different from you.
41:16I have learned that what I said today about Muhammad does not conform to truth and reality.
41:22A tongue that speaks the truth is better than one that speaks eloquently but falsely.
41:26You are defending Muhammad with the same fervor as one of his companions.
41:32Did you sit with him, Abdullah? Or did you listen to that former runaway and renegade, Abu Hudhaifa, and your sister Sahla?
41:41If you do, you'll be the first to know, and I don't care.
41:44Where do you get such talk from?
41:47From you, from you, we have never known you except when you say Muhammad al-Amin, the most righteous, merciful and truthful of people.
41:55Then every day you call us a lying magician, and if we believe you today, we disbelieved you yesterday.
42:02Our charity today and yesterday cannot coexist.
42:05We gave our thanks to the shine.
42:35We gave thanks to the shining lights of the opposition.
42:36as you know,
42:37It receives us to the resistant brilliance,
42:38We gave thanks to the shining lights of the opposition.
42:39Wait for yesterday's fun.
42:40If I knew, you would benefit the heart of the lowly one with it.
42:41Wait for calamities, for humiliation is imminent.
42:43And sham Månganiyan,
42:44as you know,
42:45That's wonderful.
42:46Some times cuadran
42:47We gave charity today and yesterday.
42:49To try a man,
42:50We gave thanks to the shining lights of the opposition.
42:51?
42:52Meaning,
