Bhavnagar / Bagdana:Bagdana village sarpanch Navneet Baldhiya was allegedly attacked after he corrected what has been described as a “mistake” made by Mayabhai Ahir, triggering a major political controversy in the region.
The issue escalated further after remarks surfaced alleging that Mayabhai Ahir created confusion in Mumbai, intensifying the political debate surrounding the incident. The attack on the Bagdana sarpanch has drawn sharp reactions from various political quarters.
In a related development, Mayabhai Ahir is reported to have approached Mumbai MLA Yogesh Sagar, following which a court granted two days’ remand to the accused involved in the attack on the Bagdana sarpanch.
Meanwhile, MLA Hira Solanki personally met Navneet Baldhiya to express support and later facilitated a telephonic conversation with former minister Parsottam Solanki. During the call, assurances were reportedly given regarding justice and appropriate action in the case. The conversation has since become a talking point in political circles.
The incident has sparked widespread discussion, with leaders and supporters demanding strict action against those responsible for the attack and calling for the protection of elected representatives at the grassroots level.
