00:30I grew up in New York. I live in Kingston, so a little upstate, but I thought it was worth it to come here and see history being made.
00:41You know, he's the first Muslim mayor, first, like, proud socialist, and I think it's really important to show the future that we can make real leftist politics a reality and keep pushing left.
00:54To actually have a working class, you know, support system in this country.
01:01I just moved to the city, and being here, like, getting a chance to vote for the first time, being so young, and being a part of, like, the next generation of voters,
01:24is so important to me because I think our generation has gotten lost in how vocal we are, and I think being able to be here and be involved is just such a big part of who I am as a person
01:34and getting involved in a city that I love so much, even though I just got here, and I'm just getting to, like, know it is really, it's really special.
01:41Zohran's story is really crazy. You saw how much opposition he faced when it came to all of these, you know, large corporations that were backing these politicians,
01:57but Zohran was able to do everything with just grassroots manpower, so I think that that's a huge inspiration, and that's why I'm a huge supporter of him as well.
02:11You know, I'm Jewish, and there's a lot of misguided fear-mongering that's been promoted in the Jewish community.
02:28I've known Zohran Mamdani since he was an assemblyman.
02:32I've had long conversations with him when one of the groups I work with was supporting the taxi drivers during their hunger strike,
02:40and Zohran Mamdani is one of the electors also supporting them with the hunger strike.
02:46So I saw him for about 30 minutes a day for several weeks, and we had long conversations,
02:51and he is very clear in his anti-antisemitism, his support for the Jewish community in New York City and in the United States,
03:03and having a safer New York for all of us living here together in sister and brotherhood here in New York City.
03:14His plan for a safer New York for all aligns with the hopes and dreams of all Jews and persons from all backgrounds living in the diaspora,
03:29the wonderful diaspora that is New York City.
03:45Zohran represents something which all of us are here for.
03:50He represents a common person and the issues which common people face.
03:55I am also one of the health care workers, so we do support a New York Health Act.
04:03If it can happen in New York, it will happen in the rest of the country also.
04:07So I basically support Zohran for the changes he is bringing, making it affordable for everyone.
04:15If this city can become affordable, the rest of the country will follow.
04:20Look, I think the biggest thing that he can do is just be really good at his job.
04:32I mean, I think that we're all rooting for his success,
04:34and I'm hoping that people across the state of New York and across the country are going to be supportive in his agenda,
04:39because clearly he has won with a mandate to deliver on his promises.
04:42All right.
04:48Yeah.
