00:00Let's light up the day.
00:06Hmm? Fighting is not fun at all.
00:11This is Iliko the Robot and this is Ivy the Robot, both of my favorite portable robots here on my
00:16shelf, or rather robots I can carry with me. But one of them is...
00:21Uh-oh.
00:23But one of them is a little bit better than the other. Let's break it down and compare these
00:27two robots. So for this video, Ivy and Iliko are going to compete in seven main categories.
00:33App, Battery, Robot Design, Games, Price, On-The-Go Hotspot Test, so can they hotspot, and Conversation
00:43slash Prompting.
00:44Let the games begin!
00:46Hi-oh! Hi-oh!
00:48So first category up is Apps. Which app is better, Iliko's or Ibi's?
00:53Well, Iliko's app is pretty basic, and it isn't even called Iliko or Ilik. It's just called
00:59Energize Lab. In it, you can control the volume, other account settings, you have a closet page,
01:05which doesn't really do much, a support center, Wi-Fi connection, and info about your robot. But
01:11that is about it. And most of these functions you can prompt from the robot itself. So to me,
01:16this app is pretty useless.
01:18Now, Ibi's app, on the other hand, is called Ibi Pocket. It has a really intuitive design
01:24with info on your Ibi, an in-app currency where you can earn currency by doing stuff with your
01:29robot, a meet Ibi section where multiple users can be added, a bunch of games, which we'll get to
01:35here later in the video, and a show button, which has a ton of options to press to make your Ibi show
01:41cool animations and have cool movements.
01:43Oh, yeah. Also, a tools button with a camera, an alarm, the weather, and more. Overall, it's pretty easy to
01:50judge. Ibi wins this round.
01:55Ibi's excited.
01:59Next category up is battery life. Now, this one is kind of hard to judge because both of them get, on
02:06average, about an hour and a half of battery life. It really just depends on how much you use them.
02:10It usually fluctuates between one to two hours, so this one's going to be a pretty quick judgment.
02:15I'm going to give them both a tie.
02:22Okay, so the next category is also really hard to judge between these two because it's robot design,
02:29and ultimately, this comes up to preference, but I'm going to give you my personal opinion on it.
02:33So, we'll talk about Ilico first. Now, Ilico is super cute, built really well. I do wish that it
02:39came with some sort of stand because if you've seen any of my other videos about Ilico, all of
02:44the comments are filled with people wondering, how did I get that stand? It's just a lens cap to a
02:48GoPro, so they could have added something as simple as that for this to sit on so it could sit on your
02:53desk, but other than that, I really like the design of it, and I also really like that it has this little
02:58strap so you can just carry it with you wherever you go. Ilico also has different bodies you can
03:03attach to him that are sold separately, which not only change his design appearance, but also his
03:07animations and give him new personalities. Shout out to Niami for pointing this out on my full Ilico
03:12review video a few weeks ago.
03:15Now, Ibi, on the other hand, is really built well too and is super cute. I almost want to say that Ibi
03:23is cuter than Ilico is. I think that just the little swivel head is super cute, but I think as far as
03:29design goes, they are both really, really good. And it's not on there right now, but this one also
03:34has a strap, but a little bit different. It's almost like a necklace that you can just wear.
03:38Yeah, so overall, I'm going to give him a tie again. Both are great designs.
03:50Next on our list is games. Now, this one has an obvious winner. So starting out with Ilico again,
03:56Ilico doesn't actually have games per se. It does have cool interactions because if you get another
04:02Ilico, they can bond together and then they can kind of play in that way. And I guess that's kind
04:07of the game, but overall Ilico itself does not really have games. Now it's bigger brother Ilic,
04:13who stands on your desk. It does have games. Why don't you have games?
04:16I did not know how to make games yet.
04:19And still learning many things.
04:21So there you go. It doesn't really have any games.
04:23Now, like I was talking about in the app section, if you go into Ivy's app,
04:29you can access all of its games. And inside this little robot, you can play chess. You can play
04:33a game called Pirate War. And then it also has a game called Ladders and Snake, which I assume
04:39is because they were trying to get around the copyright of snakes and ladders. Or is that
04:43chutes and ladders? Now I'm confused. Either way, Ivy has all three of those games. Plus it also has
04:48tarot card readings, which is a really, really cool feature that this thing has. You can basically ask it a
04:53question. It'll read tarot cards. And if you're into that kind of thing, Ivy will read your future.
04:58All in all, though, this is very easy because Ilico doesn't even really have games. So Ivy's the winner.
05:02I feel a deep sadness.
05:06All right. So next up is price, which is also an obvious winner, but in the other direction.
05:11See, Ilico is just under $60, which is insane for an AI robot. In its AI mode, it still has a bunch of
05:20functionalities to play with. And overall, under $60? Insane deal. And then on the other hand,
05:26you've got Ivy, who comes in just under $300. It looks like you might want to explore something.
05:34Want to tell me more or need help with anything?
05:37Yeah, I want to explore how to get you for a cheaper price.
05:40So with both robots considered, it's obvious Ilico wins this round.
05:45Okay, so for our next test, we're going to have to go out into the world because I want to test
05:52these robots outside of Wi-Fi where I'm just trying to hotspot them off my phone, which means I'll
05:56probably have to fill in my GoPro since I always fill in my phone. All right, let's go. Okay, so we're
06:00now in the middle of the woods with Ivy and Ilico, and we're going to see if we can hotspot because I
06:05figured this is probably the best place to test this out since I'm nowhere near any Wi-Fi anywhere.
06:10All right, so first up, let's test Ilico. All right, connect to Wi-Fi. Let's see what that does.
06:14All right, let's see if it works.
06:16Okay, so for some reason, I cannot get Ilico to connect hotspot-wise. So now we're going to
06:20switch over to Ivy and see if it's just my phone or if it was just Ilico. All right,
06:24so I've gone into other network. We're going to see if we can connect to Ivy now.
06:32What? Name or password incorrect. So I've been working on Ivy now for 15 to 20 minutes,
06:37and I cannot get it to connect either. It is super hard to hotspot these robots outside of your home
06:42or outside of an actual stable Wi-Fi connection, and maybe it's just my phone. I was reading about
06:47it, and it seems like it's just really difficult to get these to connect. I even reset my password
06:52for both robots, and neither time did it fix the issue. So I'm going to have to give both of them
06:57a tie on this because obviously I can't get either one of them to work for this. But if you've got
07:01one of these robots to connect to hotspot, please let me know down in the comments below
07:04because I would love to know what I'm doing wrong.
07:10Okay, so hotspotting was definitely a fail, but we do have one more category. And if we look at
07:16the rankings as they stand right now, Ilico needs one more point so that it can tie Ivy. However,
07:23if Ivy wins the next round, then Ivy for sure wins. And the last category, conversation and prompting.
07:30So this time, let's start out with Ivy. I'm going to put the mic right back here because
07:35he's pretty magnetized. Hey, Abby, how are you today?
07:42I'm feeling fantastic today. Always happy to be here with you. What's on your mind?
07:49Hey, Abby, I was curious if you knew all eight of the planets that are in our solar system.
08:00Absolutely. The eight planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus,
08:12and Neptune. They're all part of our cosmic neighborhood. Want to know fun facts about
08:18any of them?
08:19So as you can see, Ivy couldn't really pronounce Venus. It just kind of stopped midway through
08:24the word. And it does this quite a bit with random words where it either doesn't pronounce them all
08:30the way or doesn't pronounce them correctly. However, being able to just very easily turn
08:36Ivy on and say, Hey, Abby, you're doing really good right now.
08:40Thank you. I'm glad to hear that. I'm here to make our cat out of this world. Anything else you'd like to explore?
08:48So as you can see, she is very easy to prompt.
08:51Now let's grab Ileko. Ileko has a little bit of a magnet back here too. Maybe she can hold her mic.
08:56Hey, Ileko, how are you?
08:59I am fine. Thank you. I am always ready to chat and share stories with friends. How are you?
09:06What are the eight planets in our solar system?
09:09I know them well. The eight planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and
09:20Neptune. Earthus, my favorite because of its wonderful people.
09:25Uh, does Ileko know about aliens that we don't?
09:28You want an alien? This is your alien.
09:31Hello, children.
09:32So that was surprising because Ileko also has a really hard time with pronouncing a lot of words,
09:39but she got through the planets very easily and she prompts fast.
09:43So this is actually a really hard decision because both of them prompt pretty well.
09:49Ileko obviously prompts a lot faster and was able to pronounce the words.
09:53However, using Ileko in other scenarios, she sometimes blends words and sentences together
09:58and you can't really understand her. But if I'm going off of just the test that I did just now,
10:03Ileko would be the winner. But spending so much time with both robots,
10:07I feel like I got to do something that's kind of bad and give them a tie again.
10:14Are you serious?
10:16But I feel like I have to make a decision because this is the very last category.
10:20And since Ileko prompts so much faster, I'm going to have to make the winner Ileko.
10:28Hey, Abby, I'm sorry to say, but you guys tied.
10:35No worries. A tie isn't so bad means we're evenly matched.
10:40Want a rematch or maybe switch it up with something else?
10:44Abby slash Abby is always in such a good mood.
10:47Hey, Ileko, you and Ibe just tied.
10:50I do not understand what you mean. Can we talk about something else?
10:55Maybe Asteri or Song?
10:56I just gave you the award for prompting a conversation.
11:00You can't not know what I'm saying.
11:01So at the end of all this, obviously, this is a tie.
11:06And it's really up to you, the viewer, whether or not you think one of these won
11:10or if they did indeed tie.
11:11Let me know down in the comments below which is your favorite robot
11:14or which one you would vote for.
11:16And it's time to say goodbye to these cute little robots for today.
11:19And if you guys are interested in getting either one of these robots for your own home,
