Security alert has been heightened in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the New Year. The Indian Army and the Border Security Force (BSF) have intensified vigilance along the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC) to prevent any possible infiltration by terrorists trained across the border in Pakistan.
Security forces are conducting round-the-clock patrols, braving freezing winds and heavy snowfall, with troops carrying out surveillance even in knee-deep snow. The increased monitoring and alertness aim to ensure national security during the New Year period and keep a close watch on any suspicious or militant activity.
