Der französische Dokumentarfilm If It Were Love von Patric Chiha folgt 15 jungen Tänzer:innen unterschiedlicher Hintergründe auf einer Tour von Theater zu Theater. Mit ihrer Tanz-Performance namens Crowd von Gisèle Viennes lassen sie die Rave-Szene der 1990er Jahre auferstehen. Unterwegs entwickelt sich eine eigentümlich intensive Beziehung zwischen den Mitgliedern des Ensembles und in Nächten voller Tanz, Partys und Liebe beginnen die Grenzen zu verschwimmen: Wo hört die Bühne auf und wo fängt das Leben an?
