02:54The self-styled most dangerous man in professional wrestling.
03:00Can he claim the AEW World Championship for a second time tonight?
03:08Since his return from A3, Swerve Strickland has looked exceptional.
03:19But the odds will be against him tonight in this four-way match.
03:23You know, very quickly about tonight.
03:25Tonight has been one of the nights that has just, once again,
03:31proved to the world and to me how wonderful professional wrestling is.
03:37And I've gone through many events as a commentator and a fan,
03:43but tonight has been absolutely special on many levels.
03:47And what a way to end it to the biggest prize, the World Championship.
03:55And to your point, Tony, what a way to end 2025.
03:58Absolutely.
04:10Ryan, I know you've been involved in matches like this.
04:12It's really hard to come up with a strategy, right?
04:15When you've got three other men you've got to compete with.
04:18It's very big as well.
04:24You've got to keep your head on a swivel,
04:26because not only can you not get pinned,
04:29you can't let anybody else get pinned either.
04:31Right?
04:36Hangman Adam Page or Strickland.
04:42They've been in a three-way match with Samoa Joe before,
04:46when he was AEW World Champion for the first time.
04:49They thought they would be doing it again tonight at World's End.
04:54But the man that won the casino gauntlet match at All-In Texas
05:01had a very different plan in mind.
05:06Boy, look at the shape of Swierce Strickland is in,
05:09coming back from that injury.
05:11Man.
05:24Type in this.
05:26Sí élam,
05:27type in this.
05:28Ok,
05:29man.
05:31Yeah,
05:32yes,
05:34save money.
05:37In the title okay with Memehm mule,
05:39you both have a sensation of even at all-in.
05:42The world's infinite is known as Weme.
05:46Yeah.
05:48It's late.
05:49It was like an angle,
05:51¡Gracias!
06:21¡Gracias!
06:51EW World Champion, the most of anyone in the history of All Elite Wrestling.
07:00Is he on the verge of claiming that title for a second time?
07:06You know, no one is denying his ability, his title reign, what he can do in the ring.
07:11But as soon as that music hits, I'm thinking, here comes Ego Boy.
07:18And we're seeing it on full display.
07:21But there's a reason why he has that Ego.
07:27I mean, if he can pull out this match tonight, he has the opportunity to be one of a few select men
07:36to be a two-time World Champion before they turn 30 years old.
07:40Wow.
07:41Would be quite an accomplishment.
07:43Really would.
07:44And there he is.
07:57Samoa Joe.
07:58The 15th overall AEW World Champion.
08:04defeated Hangman Adam Page at full gear last month inside the steel cage.
08:13But there is a very, very large asterisk next to that.
08:20Yes.
08:20And it happens to be shaped like hook.
08:22To your point, Excalibur, some would argue that Samoa Joe had to compromise his principles
08:29to reach that high point to become World Champion again.
08:32The hook thing still shocks me to this day, but here we go.
08:41Well, to make it official, one final time tonight, let's head to the ring.
08:46And the Dapper Yapper, Justin Roberts.
08:47Your main event tonight is a four-way match for the all-elite wrestling world championship.
09:09Introducing the challengers first, accompanied by Prince Nana, from Tacoma, Washington, weighing
09:21two, 140 pounds, Sir Ricklin.
09:29Introducing next, from Aarons Creek, Virginia, weighing two, 129 pounds,
09:50Hangman, Adam Payne.
09:59From Plainview, Long Island, New York, weighing two, 126 pounds, Maxwell Jacob Freeman, MJF.
10:29Whether you like it or not, my time.
10:35And from Huntington Beach, California, weighing three, 110 pounds, he is an AEW World Trials
10:46Champion.
10:47He is the reigning and defending all-elite wrestling world champion.
10:58He is Samoa Joe.
11:04Referee Bryce Remsburg drawing the assignment for tonight's main event.
11:20And as you observe, Brian, a four-way match is a very tricky situation.
11:26The champion does not have to be pinned or submitted to lose the title.
11:31It is first fall to a finish.
11:34Absolutely.
11:35The champion's advantage disappears when he can lose the title without even being defeated.
11:41This is going to be Samoa Joe's toughest test.
11:47Well, remember it was two years ago at this event that he became world champion for the first time.
11:54And I know MJF remembers that.
11:56It was MJF that was caught in the Coquina Clutch by Samoa Joe, ending that 409-day reign.
12:04And the litany of history between these four men is so intertwined.
12:13You mentioned Joe defeating MJF.
12:17Then it was Swerve that dethroned Joe.
12:20And after that, Swerve and Hangman embroiled in the bloody rivalry that will undoubtedly be something that comes on to define their careers.
12:30And amidst all that, MJF and Hangman, MJF, and Swerve as Samoa Joe landed hard on the edge of the apron.
12:39MJF just sent Swerve face first in that middle turnbuckle.
12:43And now MJF in the grip of Hangman.
12:45Adam Page, fall-away slam.
12:47Hangman springs up to his feet and going over the top, takes Joe down.
12:53And MJF sent out to the apron.
12:55Hangman moving with purpose.
12:57Yes, the lariat sends MJF down, but Joe slips in underneath the bottom rope.
13:05A devastating chop delivered by the champion.
13:08But, Jacoby, not that of your wrestling boots, I do believe.
13:11Shoulder tackle sends Swerve down to the mat.
13:14Swing to the outside.
13:16Samoa Joe, Enzi Geary drops Hangman down in the corner.
13:19And that's the advantage that Joe has in this match.
13:26This is a match filled with heavy hitters, and he's the heaviest hitter of them all.
13:31MJF taking off the apron.
13:33And Joe comes in the boot, the side of the head of Hangman.
13:36Samoa Joe, Hangman, Adam Page are two of only four men to have held the AEW World Championship more than once.
13:47Swerve and MJF desperately want to join that club.
13:50But now, Swerve steps over, goes after the taped-up elbow of Samoa Joe.
13:55But now, MJF, side headlock.
14:01He's used that very effectively in the past.
14:04Just asked Darby Allin about it.
14:07Also, he's used that dynamite diamond ring as well as now MJF.
14:12He and Swerve knew each other quite well their early days in the sport of professional wrestling, on the independent scene.
14:20And now, on the move, MJF.
14:36I'm not sure you want to do that to the most dangerous man in all of AEW.
14:40I agree.
14:41He was mocking with that strut, and then he did that.
14:45Big mistake, I think.
14:47Waiting for MJF to turn around, launches the boot.
14:49Into Max's face, and now uppercuts in the corner, locking the head back.
15:00Uppercut in between the shoulder blades.
15:03And Bryan, you've spent more than an hour inside the ring.
15:09Tarbata's fair play.
15:10More than an hour inside the ring with MJF.
15:12You know his conditioning is exceptional, but he is coming back after nearly a three-month layoff from the ring.
15:21A swerve hurt!
15:22Do you think conditioning is going to be a factor for MJF in this match?
15:29Ring rust, perhaps?
15:30Ring rust could be a factor for MJF.
15:33One of the things, though, in these four-way matches that you can do is if you...
15:38Oh, Samoa Joe!
15:40Battering ram.
15:42If you see the other men are distracted, you can take a little bit of a rest if you need to.
15:46And that might be, you know, MJF is not above that.
15:50I think where Hangman's at in his career right now, he wants to push the ass and full force the whole match.
15:55Look at this!
15:56Oh, he are a moonsault at Hangman.
16:00He overshot the pile, but he caught MJF on the way down.
16:03And I think MJF collided heads with Swerve and Samoa Joe.
16:07And Hangman took a nasty spill as well.
16:10As you can see, Bryce Renberg, Renberg, checking in.
16:15Now, Brian, you're right about it.
16:17You can really pace yourself, kind of, in a four-way match.
16:21But you've got to be weary that you can lose the shot at the title.
16:26Hangman wants a right-handed smoke.
16:28Heading at MJF.
16:29Well, that's the key, Tony.
16:31If you choose to take that strategy, you've got to choose a place to rest
16:36where you can see what's going on in the ring
16:38so that you can break up a pin if you need to.
16:42MJF.
16:43But I don't expect that from Swerve, and I don't expect that from Hangman.
16:47MJF has looked for the heat seeker.
16:49Swerve.
16:50Chuck him off.
16:52MJF out to the floor.
16:53Here comes Joe.
16:55What?
16:56Dump!
16:58To the outside!
17:01Now, here's what happens.
17:02Joe's in the ring with Hangman Adam Page.
17:04There you go.
17:05Swerve knows.
17:05He's back in the ring.
17:06He's back in the ring.
17:07He's back in the ring.
17:07He's back in the ring.
17:08He's back in the ring.
17:09He's back in the ring.
17:10Hangman, buckshot off the back of Swerve!
17:17And now, it's Swerve and Hangman.
17:24And listen to the fans.
17:25One of the greatest, if not new greatest, rivalry in AEW.
17:29Have you ever seen a more violent rivalry than between these two men?
17:40A history written in blood.
17:42A history written in blood.
17:43And now, they're back at it once again!
17:49Center of the ring, battering!
17:51Oh!
17:52Oh!
17:53Oh!
17:54Oh!
17:55Oh!
17:56Oh!
17:57Oh!
17:58Swerve, oh wait a second, Deadeye, no, Swerve avoids, Swerve moves underneath, and Hagman falls out, finds his feet, waist lock, goes through, O'Connor roll it too, back elbow caught Swerve on the way in, and Hagman,
18:22Swerve, oh wait Swerve, takes the balance in his favor, no Hagman, slips free, Swerve, Deadeye, come on, they know each other so well, Swerve's there to do the Deadeye, a house call,
18:49house call interrupted, by the Lariat, now Hagman,
18:56one shot, Lariat, is this it, one, two, no, Joe there to break it up,
19:03the case where you were talking about Brian, got to keep your focus in the ring, when you're taking a break, and Joe did on the outside,
19:09Joe could have potentially just saved his championship reign, with that one breakup,
19:14how many men, has Hagman Adam Page beat with the Buckshot Lariat, is Joe trying for a muscle buster there, maybe, maybe not,
19:23we'll never know, because Hagman Adam Page intervened, now looking for the slam off the ropes in the corner,
19:34but Samoa Joe, Joe underneath,
19:37Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
19:38Whoa, whoa, whoa.
19:40And MJF, oh, walked right into it, a three for one for Samoa Joe, makes the cover, two, Hangman able to kick out Joe, now cover Swerve, one, two,
19:54smart strategy by Samoa Joe, absolutely.
19:57Flips MJF over, now cover made, two, MJF kicks out.
20:02That was a pretty good cover by Joe as well.
20:04Great cover by Joe. Joe's fundamentals are excellent.
20:09Samoa Joe denied on three separate occasions there.
20:15If I were Joe, I would try to get two of these men out of the ring
20:18and then put on the coquina clutch on the other person.
20:22Well, he's got two out, Brian. Let's see what he does.
20:28Swerve Strickland, the man that ended Samoa Joe's first reign
20:31as the AEW world champion could now find himself in that muscle buster.
20:38But Swerve to his feet and links up, catching MJF.
20:44And maybe that's why Joe kicked out Hangman and MJF.
20:47Maybe he wanted to write what he perceives to be a wrong.
20:51Beautiful upkick by Swerve Strickland, and now the waistlock and Swerve.
20:55Good, he can, German suplex.
20:58Again, Swerve is in phenomenal shape.
21:00What a powerhouse he is.
21:03Oh, my God.
21:04Catching the boot of Hangman.
21:06Loops underneath.
21:08And now the backbreaker.
21:11Swerve.
21:13Oh, my God.
21:15Check on Hangman, the power slam.
21:17Two.
21:18And Hangman Adam Page is not a small man.
21:21That just shows how much power Swerve has added to his frame since his knee injury.
21:30And, Brian, with that added mass that Swerve has put on, are you surprised that his agility
21:35seems no signs of being diminished either?
21:38I mean, I'm shocked, because that doesn't seem possible.
21:43But yet, Swerve's managed to do it.
21:45Swerve Strickland in the best shape of his life.
21:50He was until Samoa Joe just trucked him in the corner now.
21:55And MJF sent Spilling to the outside.
21:58Again.
21:59Hangman hooked to the midsection.
22:01Double underhook.
22:05Oh!
22:06Angel's wings!
22:09From Hangman Adam Page.
22:10I thought it was good.
22:11I thought Swerve was going down on the crown of his head.
22:16Yeah.
22:17Right now.
22:20Hangman's going to go by that buckshot.
22:22No, he's not!
22:23Oh!
22:24That moonsault wipes out MJF on the floor.
22:26Hangman.
22:27Strategy.
22:28Buckshot Swerve.
22:29Ducks underneath.
22:30Popped up.
22:31Power!
22:32Power!
22:33One!
22:34Two!
22:35Swerve able to kick out.
22:37Two!
22:42That was a great strategy by Hangman Adam Page.
22:45Taking out MJF on the floor.
22:46And then attempting the buckshot lariat.
22:49Almost got Swerve with that pop-up powerbomb.
22:53MJF wiped out on the floor.
22:55Thanks to Hangman having eyes in the back of his head.
22:59Or so it would seem.
23:00MJF has not had a lot of success in this match.
23:04And I attribute that to the three other men.
23:06They've been regularly in the ring.
23:08Regularly competing against the top competition.
23:12Maybe that's good for MJF though.
23:14Because they're expending energy.
23:16And he's been on the outside.
23:17And he's been on the outside.
23:17But it seems like every time MJF tries to insert himself into the match, he gets taken out.
23:25With a boot into the face of Samoa Joe.
23:28Sending him back down into the corner.
23:32Back elbow underneath the jaw of Hangman Adam Page and MJF.
23:36A stop.
23:38The elbow.
23:38Did you see how Hangman's arm buckled?
23:41Yes.
23:43Yeah.
23:44The bend.
23:44Derrick.
23:45Oh.
23:45Kick.
23:46Into Swerve.
23:47And now MJF.
23:49What a real drop.
23:51Roll Swerve through.
23:53And reaching him into Samoa Joe.
23:55Big offensive flurry is first.
23:58But meanwhile, Hangman buckshot.
24:00Avoided by MJF.
24:02The bypass sends Hangman to the outside.
24:06And the heat seeker was avoided.
24:09But not the cutter.
24:11MJF launching Hangman in the cover.
24:15And now to the salt of the earth.
24:17A Fujiwara arm bar.
24:19MJF.
24:22He's got.
24:23Oh, wait a second.
24:24Kikina clutch.
24:26Swerve now in the Kikina clutch.
24:27Who's going to tap out first?
24:29Yeah, Bryce Wormsburg had his work cut out for him.
24:33Momentarily.
24:33That was smart of MJF right there.
24:35I don't think he fully had the salt of the earth on Hangman Adam Page.
24:41And Samoa Joe had that Kikina clutch fully locked in.
24:44Yep.
24:45Did a great job.
24:45Brian, you were right on top of that one.
24:48That was a great move by MJF to break up that.
24:50MJF preserving his hopes of becoming AEW world champion for a second time now.
24:59I think he may be salt of the earth on Samoa Joe.
25:01Yeah, and that taped up arm.
25:03No joke.
25:05Walls through and now drives MJF into the Kikina clutch.
25:10MJF is fading.
25:12A flashback to World's End two years ago.
25:16Perhaps running through the mind of Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
25:21And that Kikina clutch is deep.
25:24It is in tight.
25:25And MJF.
25:26Now Swerve and Hangman better get the hop on here.
25:30Or it's going to end.
25:31The arm is up and...
25:32Oh!
25:32That was cold!
25:34MJF.
25:35He was fully committed to that Kikina clutch.
25:37We'll never know if MJF's arm is going to drop for a third time.
25:43Because Swerve intervened.
25:45Swerve saved it.
25:46What excellent timing by Swerve Strickland.
25:48Swerve!
25:56Swerve.
25:57In this position likes big pressure.
26:00But instead MJF holds through.
26:05Swerve.
26:05That's the boot and...
26:07Oh!
26:08Thumb to the eyes.
26:09By MJF.
26:13A premature celebration perhaps.
26:16Yes!
26:17MJF in the move.
26:18But Hangman!
26:19Steaming in.
26:20A boot to the jaw.
26:21Of MJF now.
26:22And elbow strikes.
26:24Both men sending MJF down.
26:28Joe.
26:29Hate though.
26:30Whoa!
26:31What anticipation by both Swerve and Hangman!
26:35And Chicago rises to their feet!
26:47As well they should.
26:48Radio!
26:49Radio!
26:49Radio!
26:50Radio!
26:50Radio!
26:51Radio!
26:51Radio!
26:52Radio!
26:52Radio!
26:53Radio!
26:53Radio!
26:54Radio!
26:54Radio!
26:55Radio!
26:55What an effort these athletes have put forth in all these matches tonight.
26:59It's what sets us apart.
27:05The struggle for verticality begins.
27:09MJF up first.
27:11Here's the people boss.
27:12Here's the people boss.
27:13Focus!
27:14This is our time!
27:15I'm shocked by that.
27:17Because by getting up first, MJF is drawing the attention of Swerve Strickland.
27:22Oh, maybe that's exactly what he wanted as MJF.
27:27That was Swerve lined up.
27:29Just a star!
27:32Colored in!
27:33Two!
27:34One!
27:34Two!
27:35So, closest one yet.
27:39Made me think of Adam Cole, the Panama Sunrise.
27:43Better than you, baby.
27:45And one-time partners, and a battle in the very first Wembley Stadium.
27:52That's it.
27:54One!
27:55Two!
27:56No!
27:56MJF escapes!
27:58Give MJF credit, man.
27:59He walked into that one, but he is still alive.
28:04Hangman will turn his attention from the ring for a moment.
28:08I'm not sure what caught his eye, but it allowed Samoa Joe to leap in, but Swerve left with the DDT.
28:15And that's the agility you talked about earlier, Tony.
28:22Now, look at this.
28:24We've got somebody, oh, yeah.
28:25It's the Ops.
28:27Katsyuri Shabbat of Powerhouse Hobbs.
28:29And it's a four-way match, so, Brian, there's no disqualifications.
28:34And the Ops picking their moment almost perfectly.
28:40This is despicable.
28:41But I'd hate to see this match end like this.
28:46The muscle buster.
28:48It's got to be it.
28:49Samoa Joe covers.
28:51Two!
28:51And...
28:52No!
28:57Samoa Joe's a little over-covered.
29:00And now look at Hook get on the O-butt.
29:02That's three.
29:02You know that three.
29:03One, two, three.
29:04Come on, wake up.
29:05Wake up, Bryce.
29:06Samoa Joe used the Ops inside the steel cage.
29:13Used the betrayal of Hangman by Hook.
29:17That's how he captured the World Championship.
29:19He thought it was a certainty once again.
29:22But Hangman, not out of this fight yet.
29:26It doesn't seem that Samoa Joe is interested in regaining people's respect.
29:31He just wants to keep the AEW World Championship.
29:37Consigliere, Shyvana Pyle has hard menacing.
29:40Prince Nana, but Swerve...
29:42Jackland!
29:45The Swerve stomp.
29:46But now, Kikina Clutch cinched in.
29:50Jawbreaker.
29:52Jawbreaker.
29:53Elbow strike drops Joe.
29:58And Hangman Adam Page, he's not forgotten how he lost the AEW World Championship for a second time.
30:07But, oh!
30:09Kikina Clutch again!
30:10This was how Joe won the three-way match between himself, Hangman, and Swerve.
30:20But look at this.
30:21Hook intervened again in May.
30:23Oh, maybe not.
30:25Maybe sent Joe to a successful title defense.
30:28But Swerve on the top.
30:31A swerve.
30:31Oh!
30:32Stomp on Joe!
30:34Get your ass out of here!
30:35This might be Swerve's chance.
30:37He's got Samoa Joe alone in the ring.
30:40He just gave him the Swerve stomp.
30:44Now, Swerve.
30:48Swerve to that top.
30:49And Samoa Joe!
30:51Sweeps off the leg.
30:54And Joe could be thinking, Avalanche Muscle Buster.
31:01Or maybe Superplex, I'm not sure, but either way.
31:03Swerve and Joe precariously perched in the roof.
31:12Swerve finds his feet on the apron and now hammers at the knee of Samoa Joe.
31:17Chop down that big tree.
31:20No, no, no!
31:21Swerve.
31:22Does he have the strength for this?
31:25Yes!
31:26He does!
31:28Yes!
31:28Yes!
31:28Yes!
31:28Yes!

31:33Swerve Strickland to the top.
31:43Oh, no!
31:46Swerve Strickland sent scrolling from the top rope headfirst into the side of the announce desk.
31:52And sign of the pin for the fourth.
31:53Oh!
31:54Oh!
31:54Swerve Swerve.
31:56But Hangman!
