00:00Muhammad himself
00:30If people know that you debated with him and made him understand
00:34If they leave him
00:36If they know otherwise
00:38So blame no one but yourselves.
00:41Who has that permission?
00:45No, no, by the Lord of the Kaaba
00:47I am the youngest of you
00:49I don't advance over those with teeth.
00:51After what we heard from you today
00:54We learned that a man is not defined by his age or his wealth.
00:59But
01:01With his mind, his opinion, and his tongue
01:04And you, Omar
01:08What made you the ambassador of Quraysh and their defender?
01:12Except that she testified to your opinion and reason
01:17Take me away, Abu al-Walid
01:21I swear I won't
01:23And you are among us
01:24Suhail bin Omar
01:26The preacher of Quraysh
01:28Abu Abd Shams
01:31Ask the people
01:32Abu Abd Shams
01:35They tied it to your father's head.
01:42I don't know what good news to bring.
01:45O people of Mecca
01:47Oh, gentlemen of Khraish
01:49O people of Mecca
01:55Listen to me
01:57I bear witness to you, people of Mecca
02:01I have lost Salim this
02:03And I made him my son
02:05He is from today
02:08Salim bin Ubay Hudhayfah
02:10Ibn Uthbah ibn Rabi'ah
02:12He inherits from me and I inherit from him
02:15Congratulations to Salma
02:25It is more fitting for a slave to be pleased with another slave.
02:41Bena gained his freedom
02:42I don't envy him if that's what you mean.
02:46indeed
02:50I envy him
02:51I envy him
02:53He did not free him until he made him his son.
02:55He is attributed to him and he inherits from him.
02:57Because he was a slave from the Arabs
03:02Who are we?
03:04Slavery and blackness
03:05If God created
03:09Why did He create us black and white?
03:11Do you hate your skin color, you brute?
03:13Don't you hate him?
03:15If I hate him, I hate myself.
03:16And I hate him for my own sake.
03:18And how could I not hate him when people are mocking me for him?
03:20If I were like them, things would be different.
03:22Are you now just like them, you savage?
03:23Like them?
03:24Don't you see your color through their eyes?
03:27Even if you are their slave
03:31For they are slaves to their own desires and ambitions.
03:34They neither see the truth nor find a way out.
03:37This sounds strange to me.
03:42And today you saw me standing on the heads of the masters
03:45I see no man among them more light-spirited and free-spirited than I.
03:49You were throwing illusions at me
03:52Don't say anything about the words we heard today from a relative.
03:59What are you talking about?
04:00Woe to you
04:00Do you have an ear like theirs, yet you do not hear?
04:04It was only when Abu Hudhayfa brought Salim and testified to his generosity
04:08You stand there and don't hear?
04:10My master taught me that if I am in their gatherings, I should neither hear nor see.
04:15Their situation is not my concern.
04:17Unless I am ordered to obey
04:19indeed
04:21I know they were talking about Muhammad and his religion
04:24What do you think?
04:29What is his opinion?
04:30Are you mocking me, son of a dove?
04:33That a slave like me should have an opinion on matters concerning the Quraysh
04:36Is this where opinions are expressed?
04:40Here, a person sees himself first.
04:43When a person possesses that quality
04:46What do I care about Muhammad's affairs?
04:54You won't know until you ask and investigate.
04:56I don't need that to know his opinion
04:59What is my opinion?
05:00My opinion is that the religion of Muhammad means no more to me than the religion of the Quraysh.
05:04This is their business.
05:05And I have no business with someone like him.
05:07Woe to you
05:07But Muhammad was not sent to the Quraysh alone.
05:10Rather, he was not sent to the Arabs alone.
05:12He was sent to all of mankind
05:15Arab and non-Arab, black and white
05:19How did you know all this, Ibn Hamama?
05:22If you listened to people the way I listen to them
05:26I've never known anyone like me
05:28I told all the people
05:30For the free man and the slave?
05:34Do you think I would trust Muhammad tomorrow?
05:40Will it free me from slavery?
05:41If you truly listened to the words of the Quraysh
05:44I knew that she was striving to restrain him and his enemy.
05:47He is the most noble of them in lineage.
05:48And the best of them in character
05:50An omen awaits your response to your question.
05:52If he ordered them to do it?
05:58If it is the truth, then there is no condition upon it.
06:02He seeks the truth for its own sake.
06:04And the immediate price is not negotiable
06:08And the Lord did not harm man in it
06:10Until it appears on others
06:12Each person will receive their due reckoning with justice and equity.
06:23Did you really hear all of this from people?
06:27only
06:29only
06:29You
06:41Ibn Abi Kha'afa
06:43We thought you were just a figment of our imagination.
06:52I was even the first to join the condemned one
06:56And you were not content with yourself until you corrupted those who were corrupted.
07:01So crush you
07:04And you, shepherd boy
07:09Did you become deceived into thinking that you had advanced to what you were in?
07:14But you will not find among us a man who would trust you with his sheep after this.
07:20Until Joe dies
07:23And a dog herding sheep
07:27Better than you and your entertainment
07:29And good news
07:32And be warned of a punishment that is near.
07:36Let's see if this
07:39Or someone else can pay for you
07:44Since you have no clan to protect you
07:48What a terrible neighbor you are!
07:52Peace
07:53Peace, we do not seek ignorance
07:56Good news!
08:01Good news!
08:04The Messenger of God spoke the truth.
08:08It is God for Abu Jahl
08:10I am amazed at how God defends His Prophet.
08:14They insult a despicable person
08:15He is Muhammad, the Messenger of God
08:17By God, I was about to curse him, even if it meant my death.
08:20We have been forbidden from doing this
08:22Rather, the Messenger of God was sent as a guide and a bearer of good tidings.
08:26And a warner with wisdom and good counsel
08:29Then their return is to God.
08:31And you, Ibn Masoud
08:34The people who memorized the Quran
08:36How could you miss the words of God Almighty?
08:39Do not insult those they invoke besides Allah.
08:42They curse God out of enmity and ignorance.
08:45Thus We have made pleasing to every nation their deeds.
08:50Then to their Lord is their return.
08:53He will inform them of what they used to do.
08:55God and His Messenger have spoken the truth.
08:59I swear to you, I hear the clock
09:01Welcome, my uncle.
09:08No welcome
09:10As for your prohibition
09:11Didn't I forbid you, cousin?
09:14What you forbade me from doing
09:16On a machine, he disagreed with the opinion in front of people.
09:17Have you not seen Hutabah ibn Rabi'?
09:20Your opinion
09:21He winks at his opinion
09:23Or did you want it to be said
09:25His age and their best opinion
09:26And he fulfilled his intellect with the successor
09:28Is this why I came at this hour?
09:31Listen, Abu al-Hakam
09:32Why don't you call me Abu Jahil?
09:34As Muhammad and his companions call me
09:37Shouldn't we meet to consult?
09:38So, the only option is for everyone to express their opinion.
09:41Then the people agree on one of them
09:44If not
09:46So don't let everyone impose their opinion on you.
09:47Then people will not agree on anything
09:49It belongs to whoever is victorious
09:50Yes, indeed.
09:52For whom did he prevail?
09:54So people will only communicate with swords.
09:56The defeated does not spend the night without plotting against the victor.
10:00No, Abu al-Hakam
10:02I will not hide my opinion in order to please you.
10:05And he swore to oppose Muhammad and his religion
10:08Ah, this confusion
10:09It's as if you two are arguing
10:14Ask your son this
10:15It's as if you didn't teach him great respect.
10:18Especially those who were in his womb
10:21Welcome, welcome, welcome!
10:24Please come in, please come in
10:25Hello, hello
10:27Welcome
10:29Hello
10:31Hello
10:33Oh, how easy!
10:35This is your father and your brother, Abu Jandal, with my father and my brother.
10:38Go out to them
10:39Why didn't you tell me about the crazy people, I'm your father
10:43And this is Hamouk Abbo Yazid
10:45Why didn't you consult me?
10:48I saw hatred in your face and your words that day
10:51When you saw me and Salem eating from the same dish
10:55Don't pay attention to what I dislike
10:57I hope you like what I like
10:59And those I love
11:01And if I don't
11:02I will do my best to please you
11:05But if the good and the truth become clear to me
11:08So I made up my mind and did it
11:11Father
11:12How did you become, Mother?
11:17And you
11:18Are you satisfied with what your husband did to Salem?
11:22How could I not be pleased when he is like a son to me?
11:26I would not disobey my husband's command, even if I disliked it.
11:30And you, my father, were not the first to rebuke me
11:33Salem
11:36my lord
11:37minimum
11:38Sit
11:53I challenge you, girl
12:02Know, Salim, that I was not pleased with what Abu Hudhayfa did for you.
12:13But
12:15But since he did it and people witnessed it
12:19He was taken from my family
12:23So what befalls you or harms you
12:28It harms us and makes us look bad in their eyes.
12:31We follow the doctrine of the people, and you do not know them.
12:36Stay close to your father, Abu Hudhayfah
12:41All of it was as you were
12:44By God, I will never leave him as long as I live.
12:47I will make myself a ransom
12:49I have learned that you are the most rational of people, O Eternal One
12:53And he fulfilled his promise to them
12:55You don't need to flatter or be hypocritical towards me
12:58You are my son
13:00If you were to oblige me as I would like
13:03I paved the way for you so that you would become the leader of the people after me.
13:09As I told you, I'm eternal.
13:11I don't see myself as being in a position to do this
13:13And this is my brother Walid
13:15He is more deserving and suitable
13:17Bring me a drink of water, Salem
13:20This is for Khalid
13:30Rather, shorten your vision
13:32This is for Khalid
13:44Rather, shorten your vision
13:46And I returned with my eyes and my heart to the first one that was yours
13:49When it came to you, I accused my eyesight.
13:52It is not said that Omar Khalid was the first to arrive twice.
13:56He is your cousin and a Makhzumi like you
13:58So I acknowledged the first, and even the second.
14:00You are not the kind of ruler whose government we would accept.
14:02If he is my cousin and from my tribe
14:05I am your uncle, your friend, your close companion, and your confidant.
14:08I was even ruling in favor of your cousin now
14:12Pleasing everyone is an unattainable goal, Ayash.
14:14Yes, indeed.
14:15And the people loved him and wanted him to be a judge between them.
14:19And what do you say?
14:21The previous ion in this
14:23I bet on him, I greeted him
14:26So I
14:31I bet on him, and you misjudged me.
14:34Here you have won twice
14:36twice
14:37I bet on you first
14:39And it didn't disappoint me
14:41Mistrust divided us
14:43I am in the first place and you are in the second.
14:45Why don't you say
14:46I divided good faith between you two
14:48So Omar had the first
14:50And you had the second
14:52He hit the nail on the head twice.
14:54And Amr ibn al-As was fortunate
14:57Your mother entrusted you to her
14:58What luck
14:59But I looked at Jawad Omar
15:01As they finished the first half
15:03I found him sweating profusely.
15:05No one sweated like Jawad Khalid
15:07I realized that he had exhausted his efforts
15:09And the second will be on him
15:12If the horse's palace is lost to the rider
15:15The horse depends on its rider.
15:18Don't be stubborn, Omar
15:20Isn't this Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib?
15:25No, by God, it is him.
15:29He went out hunting as usual
15:31Should we accompany him and travel with him?
15:33After what happened between us and Hashim?
15:35Hamza did not convert to the religion of Muhammad
15:37As for us, our elders have spared us from delving into this matter.
15:40Except for Omar, who took the lead and made ordinary sheikhs unnecessary.
15:44And by God, he is a knight whose like cannot be found.
15:49There is no sakfa from the Quraish in Thuk and Mufrak
16:14From Quraysh, in your garment and parting
16:17Good morning
16:18Good morning
16:19Where are you going, Abdullah?
16:21In some of my affairs
16:23Is there something you're keeping from me?
16:26It's not something I'll keep secret or reveal.
16:29Why don't you go out with your father and brother to the people's club?
16:37Or do you prefer to stay away from your father's council?
16:40I neither desire it nor do I wish to be without it.
16:42If my company and the company of others are the same to you, then let my company be?
16:48Every bird has its own watering place.
16:50And his drink is not obligatory for you?
16:53Oh my father, I have no strength for your laughter
16:55Do you say every time I speak to you that I have no energy?
16:59What do you do in your gatherings other than discuss Muhammad and his companions?
17:03And you call it wading?
17:04Do you know what has happened to us?
17:06Tell me, my father, what has happened to you?
17:08Worship us and make us into something else.
17:10Are you more protective of your gods and your religion than she is of herself?
17:13Don't you go to her whenever something troubles you?
17:16So you seek refuge with her, ask her for help, and consult her with your arrows?
17:20Should we do it or not?
17:23And you slaughter animals there so that she will be pleased with you and benefit you?
17:26Is she more capable of defending herself and you?
17:29Leave Muhammad to her, for she is capable of handling him, unless you are in doubt about her ability.
17:36Get out of here, I don't need you.
17:39Look at you
17:42Couldn't you find a better outfit than this to wear when you go out in public?
17:48What could they possibly say about us?
17:50It's alright, Father
17:52People have come to know of your generosity towards strangers.
17:54They will not accuse you soon.
17:56And if their omen is false, it will be the appearance of my brother Abu Jandal.
18:00Are you coming out with me, Abu Jandal?
18:03Abu Jandal?
18:05Who are you graduating with?
18:14I don't know what caused those trials.
18:17I do not see him obeying me, while all the sons of 'Amir ibn Ya'in obeyed me.
18:22How can you bring me out of the loins of one man and then make me so different?
18:28What difference, Father?
18:30His boldness and your politeness
18:32I never knew before today that boldness and politeness are opposites
18:35Isn't cowardice the opposite of boldness?
18:38Is rudeness the opposite of politeness?
18:40What did you mean by these meanings in distinguishing between me and my brother?
18:43Or did you mean all of them?
18:45Where did all this eloquence come from in my son today?
18:49From our father, Suhayl ibn Umar, the orator of Quraysh
18:54And if eloquence has failed you today in responding to Abdullah
19:01Which of you is more entitled to pay for the other?
19:04Are you the mothers of your gods and idols?
19:07Should we defend her so that she may benefit him?
19:13Let me know that
19:17O people of Khuraysh, this gathering has arrived
19:22And Arab delegations will come to you there
19:25They have heard about this man of yours.
19:28They all agreed on one opinion regarding it.
19:31Do not disagree, lest some of you lie to others.
19:36So, Abu Abd Al-Shams, did you see Muhammad and hear from him?
19:41So speak, and give us an opinion that we can agree upon.
19:45No, no, no, you speak so I can listen
19:50We say priest
19:53No, by God, he is not a priest.
19:56We have seen the soothsayers
19:58It is neither the words of a priest nor his rhyming prose.
20:01So we say crazy
20:04He is not crazy
20:07We have seen madness and we know it.
20:10It is not due to his twitching, his seizures, or his whisperings.
20:14A poet, then?
20:17Is he a poet?
20:19We have known all of poetry
20:21His songs, his rajaz, his qaridah, and his mabsootah
20:24What is poetry?
20:26We say magician
20:28He is a magician
20:30What is he, a magician?
20:32We have seen the sorcerers and their magic
20:34What is it about themselves or their contract?
20:38So what do we say, Abu Abd al-Shams?
20:41By God, his words are sweet.
20:47And it has a certain charm
20:49And its origin is abundant
20:52And its branch is for the harvest
20:54And you will not say anything of this.
20:57Unless it is known that it is false
21:00Should we go out to the Arabs?
21:03And half of what Muhammad says is sweet.
21:06Then we command them to deny it.
21:10What is this, Abu Abd Al Shams?
21:12The closest thing to say about it
21:23To say magician
21:26sorcerer
21:28He came with a saying that he is a magician
21:31It distinguishes between a man and his slaves
21:34Between a man and his brother
21:36Between a man and his wife
21:37Say
21:40Was his opinion correct?
21:43I mean, what better way to describe it than through magic among the Arabs?
21:47By God, He makes no distinction between a man and his father, his brother, and his wife.
21:53By magic, its explanation
21:54This one believes in him, and that one disbelieves in him.
21:57And they part ways on that basis.
22:00Perhaps they are as you said, Abu Abd
22:02The people unanimously agreed with your opinion.
22:04they
22:06Yes
22:08Yes
22:10Yes
22:12Yes
22:14Yes
22:16Yes
22:18Yes
22:20Yes
22:21Yes
22:25I have asked, my father, and I swear to God I will not lie to you.
22:28I am amazed, my father, how can something and its opposite be true in your mind?
22:34Didn't you describe the Quran in the most beautiful and best way?
22:38By God, if a man from among Muhammad's companions were asked about it, he would not add anything to what I have said.
22:43So how can you then suggest to people that it is a fabricated magic trick?
22:48Where is the slander, Father?
22:49Hold your tongue, Walid?
22:52What more have you done than describe your father as a slanderer?
22:54Rather, I hoped that he would be acquitted of it.
22:57Yes, the people obeyed him, but with the knowledge that it was false, as my father himself testified.
23:04And they will hold him accountable even if he acts according to his opinion.
23:07It is not in the nature of an Arab to lie about their noble leader.
23:09As for the Arab delegations to the season
23:11Let them hear from Muhammad what my father heard.
23:15And they will find in it what my father found.
23:17The understanding of eloquent people
23:19They have minds, ears, and hearts just like ours.
23:23Then they will realize that what we accuse Muhammad of is false, slanderous, and unjust.
23:29They excuse these abominations and ridicule them.
23:32indeed
23:34You did not transgress the truth, O Walid
23:38I found myself in confusion and stubbornness
23:44So point the finger at us.
23:47What you say to people
23:50Whom did they accuse him of?
23:51God, I can't believe what I'm hearing.
24:01Tell others what you tell yourselves.
24:04So we have meant Muhammad over myself
24:07If you cannot speak the truth, then hold back.
24:11So the best thing we can do
24:16To separate him from the people
24:19That was beyond our capacity
24:29He loosened his tongue now, though he had previously been weak in both hand and tongue.
24:33Do not speak ill of your brother, Khalid.
24:37Is it because it doesn't belong to your mother?
24:40It's my son.
24:42My son, and your justice is with me.
24:43Do not be deceived into thinking that you are stronger than him.
24:48And you are the owner of the Quraysh dome, its horses, and its reins.
24:53Two men were the most powerful among the Arabs.
24:56A man with his sword, and a man with his dream and his night.
25:00And it is not the saying of a poet; you rarely believe.
25:14And I do not say that a priest rarely remembers
25:17Download the Lord of the Worlds
25:18Allah is great
25:24Allah is great
25:26What is this?
25:28What is this?
25:29Woe to you, Abu Hudhayfah!
25:35Woe to you, woe to your mother, and woe to your father.
25:38This is what I thought I would die without seeing.
25:42What should I tell people if they dream about him?
25:45Who are these people I never knew?
25:47Should I fear people when God is more deserving of my fear?
25:49And your Lord commands you to respect your father
25:52Rather, he commands me to be dutiful to him for as long as I live.
25:55He linked this to his monotheism, which is the foundation of Islam.
25:58He said, "And your Lord has decreed."
26:00I said, "Salim, you know the Quran better than I do."
26:04Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him.
26:07And be kind to your parents
26:09Either one or both of them will reach old age in your care
26:11Do not say to them, "Ugh," nor rebuke them.
26:15And speak to them kindly.
26:17And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy
26:20And say, "My Lord, have mercy on them as You raised a small child."
26:23For if one of us does not command kindness to his parents
26:26Even if he persists in polytheism
26:28And their son fought against them, refusing to obey them in their polytheism.
26:31And he preserves their companionship with kindness.
26:36And if they strive to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge
26:39So do not make them suffer
26:42Their companion in this world is well-known
26:44This one, who was your servant in the care of your Quran, has come before you.
26:51And knowledge of your religion
26:53Is this the one you saw leading you in your prayers?
26:56Yes, Father
26:58It is not a gift that God bestowed upon him.
27:01He does not hear the verse from the Messenger of God until he memorizes it.
27:04It helps us to memorize.
27:06He grants me security during prayer, and there is no harm in that.
27:07The land has become corrupt
27:10The earth and all that is on it have become corrupt.
27:13Rather, Muhammad corrupted it.
27:15The lowly one is raised
27:18And the high one descends
27:20Rather, everyone is raised to the same level.
27:23They are distinguished only by piety.
27:26And piety is here
27:28Only God knows it and weighs it.
27:31If, as you say, he commands kindness to parents
27:35This is your response to your father
27:38You disobey my command and become
27:41Rather, righteousness is what I call you to, my father.
27:43I swear I won't
27:45And Quraysh do not say
27:47The youth grew dark and left his people.
27:50And now
27:52My argument has been lengthy
27:55I swear to you that you must return to the religion of your father and your people.
28:00Are you swearing to me?
28:02What is it, Father?
28:04By God and by glory? With idols you make?
28:07When its years are completed for you, you will prostrate to it.
28:09So what was made by you became a maker.
28:11And the one who is created by your hands is the Creator.
28:13Is this good?
28:16Is it God, the One, the Almighty?
28:19Who created mankind and commanded them to worship Him and to emulate His example?
28:23Show mercy as you would like God to show mercy to you
28:26Be just as God is just among you.
28:29Do good as God has done good to you. Give
28:32As you would like God to give you
28:35Please, as God has favored you
28:37Be one nation, just as God is one Lord.
28:39Is this better, or are there separate lords like yours?
28:44And idols you made in the likeness of your images and objects?
28:48Since when have the scales been balanced?
28:50So the man began to make his god
28:52What's going on here?
28:56Your servant only came to ask for our presence because of a serious matter?
29:00Tell them, O Abu Hudhayfah
29:03Tell your sister's husband, Abu Sufyan
29:05Tell your donkey, Abu Zayd
29:09Tell your sister
29:11What have you done?
29:14What have you done?
29:19Is there anything that has happened in our time except what Muhammad has done?
29:25Has your son converted to Islam?
29:27And you did?
29:32And you did?
29:33May God curse you and what has come upon us this day, O door?
29:38What a disgrace!
29:41What a disgrace!
29:43What a disgrace!
29:45Strike the disobedient child
29:49They placed the boys of Abd al-Shams on him
29:53They harm him and imprison him until he returns.
29:55And to inject it is eternal shame
29:57Pack your things and come with me
30:04Do not remain under his protection, for he has converted.
30:08I am of his religion, my father
30:10I will not abandon him, nor will I abandon my religion.
30:12How awful
30:14How awful
30:16May God curse you, you Sujin
30:18Abu Abd al-Shams and I are pressuring people to abandon Muhammad.
30:22Our people are hiding from us.
30:24Then the enemy will emerge from our homes and from our loins.
30:27What remains for us in terms of opinion and judgment among people?
30:31They say, fix your own houses first.
30:35If they say so, then they have spoken the truth.
30:37And you are still complaining about Muhammad
30:39You advance, then you retreat
30:41Start with what you have.
30:43People will excuse you
30:44People, people, I call you to the truth
30:48And you call me to the people
30:50Right
30:52The truth is what we found people doing.
30:54And what people found their fathers doing
30:56Which is better?
30:58A living being chooses for itself and takes from today for tomorrow
31:02And he makes way for those in front of him
31:04Or is it a living being that appeals to its dead and takes from its present for its past?
31:09And if you say "people," then which people?
31:11Do you not see that the followers of Muhammad are increasing?
31:15Are they not people?
31:17What will you do when one day God reveals His religion?
31:20Indeed, by God, it exists
31:22And this large number of people entered it
31:24What can you possibly say?
31:26It was false from the beginning.
31:28And it truly became so at the end
31:30Is this how the truth is known?
31:32If that happens while you are still alive, people will have overtaken you and you will have fallen behind.
31:37So where will your homes be in relation to them then?
31:40And now you are hostile to the Prophet out of fear for your homes.
31:45If you wish to memorize it
31:47So hasten to Islam
31:49So that your homes therein will be like your homes in the pre-Islamic era.
31:53What kind of house is this?
31:56And perhaps the lowest
32:01How could that be? He had already converted to Islam.
32:04How much more deserving it is, then, to intensify our enmity towards Muhammad.
32:08And that we should separate him from the people
32:10So that there are not many around him
32:12And if it is the sword
32:14There is no power nor strength except with God.
32:16God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.
32:19I can't take any more than this
32:20I can't stand it
32:25O Abu Safyan
32:27Won't you come forward and listen to me?
32:29Rather, be generous and forgiving.
32:39And you, Abu Zayd
32:48And you, my brother
32:49Our sheikh fears his people after they have made him a black man.
32:52As for you, you are a temptress whose heart is still veiled.
32:55Our father does not forsake his people.
32:58And I never leave my father
33:00And if he calls you to the torment of Hellfire
33:02Hell?
33:04I don't understand these words.
33:06Fire, Heaven, Hell
33:07If our opponents wouldn't gloat over our misfortune, it would be because of your speed.
33:13But I am waiting until my father forgives you.
33:15O Arabs, you know that we are the people of Al-Khurm and its guardians. No one has ever intended evil against us, except that God has thwarted him and turned his plot against him.
33:32The story of the elephant is not far from you, and this man, about whom you have heard, has appeared among us, claiming something about it, but it is not so.
33:48Has this man appeared among us?
33:50This man, about whom you have heard, has appeared among us, and he claims something about him, but it is not true.
34:00He wants to destroy our marble, insult our fathers, and criticize our gods, and all we see is that our fools and ignoramuses follow him. I say this about him, and he is different.
34:13I say this about him, and he is one of us.
34:17From us, ten Quraysh
34:20I was the first person to point out his flaws when the Arab delegations came to the kinship between us.
34:28Had he not done something and revealed it
34:32Then he called to it and proclaimed it openly
34:35And I knew that if I didn't care about him, you would play with him.
34:42Were it not for what I have placed before you, you would have borne its burden and its consequences.
34:49It has become our duty to be sincere with you in giving advice, just as we were sincere in preserving this house.
34:58We consulted on this matter before your arrival.
35:04We found ourselves torn between concealing it, thinking he would show us mercy.
35:11Or we bring the Arabs back from his magic and charm
35:15We chose the best of you over the best of him, even if he was from among you.
35:20O people of forbearance, I implore you, by the sanctity of this place, to set up
35:26If what he brought was good, wouldn't we be the first people to follow him, being his family and tribe?
35:34Do we influence people with it without us?
35:38He says, "Follow me, and the heads of the Arabs will bow before you."
35:45We say that the Arabs have recognized our rights and our worth, so what need do we have to fight them?
35:52Indeed, he is a sorcerer who seeks to separate a man from his family and a man from his wealth.
36:00If we have refused it, then it is not fitting for us to accept for the Arabs what we ourselves disliked among our companions.
36:08Justice and chivalry refuse.
36:12Avoid it as we have avoided it, and reject it as we have rejected it, so that you may be safe from its magic.
36:19Your pilgrimage will be completed, and you will return to your families in a state of righteousness.
36:24He is as Abu Yazid said, I am his uncle, the uncle of Muhammad, rather he is a slanderer.
36:32I am a man, and I was the first person to defend him.
36:39But my sense of honor forbids me from writing a testimony of truth about you.
36:46It is the trust of Abu Abdul-Muttalib
36:49He is the one you know, and whose exploits have been carried on the roads.
36:53And I loved Muhammad Madhnamah
36:58I even married my son to my daughter
37:00When that disgraceful act appeared from him, I deposed him and disowned him.
37:06And I made my son divorce my daughter
37:08Yes, I loved him
37:14But I love my religion more
37:17And I love this village the most
37:20And I bear witness to you
37:22He is a liar
37:24liar
37:26Beware of him and avoid him.
37:29His hair will not harm you
37:32This is his uncle's testimony
37:35And what remains beyond that
37:38The devices cut off the speech of every orator
37:42Has your foot failed you, you helpless one?
37:53Until you turn away from me?
37:55Enough, my father
37:57Why are you rebuking me when my brother Abdullah is accompanying you at all?
38:01As for this, I have given up on it.
38:03What would have been wrong with you just waiting patiently until I finished?
38:07So you learn from me the art of speech
38:09The tongue may be sharper than the spear.
38:12I tried, Father
38:13By God, I tried to please you, but my heart grew heavy.
38:16People may not be alike
38:18Even the father and the son
38:19Like father, like son.
38:21If I don't resemble you, then I am the oppressor?
38:26What makes you laugh?
38:27Abu Jandal only went out with you reluctantly.
38:31Do not force your child to do what he dislikes.
38:33It has two faces
38:36It conceals one thing and reveals another.
38:38Tell him, O Abu Jandal
38:40Speak up and don't be afraid
38:42Tell him what you were telling me
38:44I?
38:47I didn't say anything
38:49I say
38:51Perhaps, my father, you have returned today.
38:53And you were pleased with yourself when you conveyed Muhammad's message with your tongue.
38:57And by God, you are the most eloquent of the Quraysh.
38:59But eloquence is either an argument for its possessor
39:03Or an argument against him
39:04Like a sharp sword
39:06He is being unjustly punished or subjected to injustice.
39:09And that is injustice, my father.
39:11So that your son is not different from you
39:13I have learned that what I said today about Muhammad does not conform to truth and reality.
39:20A tongue that speaks the truth is better than one that speaks falsehood.
39:25You are not defending Muhammad as much as one of his companions.
39:30Did you sit with him, Abdullah?
39:33Or did she listen to that runaway, renegade Sabean?
39:36Your father is Hudhaifa ibn Atba and your sister is Sahla
39:39If you do, you'll be the first to know.
39:42I didn't care
39:43Where do you get such talk from?
39:45From you
39:46From you?
39:47We only understood you when you said Muhammad al-Amin
39:51The most righteous, merciful, and truthful of people
39:53Then every day you call us lying sorcerers
39:57If we believe you today, we disbelieved you yesterday.
40:00Did we give charity today and yesterday?
40:02They do not go together
