00:04The strike on Nigeria comes just a week after an operation in Syria.

00:09How will his MAGA base react to even more foreign invention from the president?

00:15It's a great question.

00:16There's always going to be that debate between the different wings,

00:20maybe the more isolationist wing of the party.

00:23That's healthy debate.

00:24I think that's good news that there is that debate.

00:27But I think that America first is not America alone.

00:31And we want what's best for our own interests,

00:33but we also want what's best for the West's interest, for our allies' interest,

00:38and in this case, Nigeria's interest.

00:40And as you said earlier in the segment,

00:43this has ramifications for other countries in the region.

00:46So I think it's important to always differentiate between America first and America alone.

00:52And I think if there is pushback from within the party, I think that will be okay.

00:58You know, that's just healthy debate.

01:00But in this case, you know, there are innocent people being killed.

01:03If we could stop it without creating a new conflict, you know,

01:07much of the criticism about Iraq and Afghanistan is we,

01:10in some ways, created a new generation of terrorists.

01:14And in this case, I don't think that's the case here,

01:16because these terrorists, as you pointed out, have been at this for a long time.

01:20And it's really cruel what they're doing to their people in Nigeria.
