00:00Thank you for listening.
00:30Thank you for listening.
01:00What's up you guys?
01:02It's your boy Steve here.
01:03Welcome back to my special message from me about my Christmas and your Christmas to your families.
01:14So here I go.
01:15As I speak to you today, I would like to wish you, whatever you may be, a happy Christmas.
01:25Though we live in hard and critical times, Christmas is and always will be a time when we can count our blessings.
01:38And the blessings of home and the blessings of happy family gatherings and the blessing of the hopeful message of Christmas.
01:49I myself have every cause for deep thankfulness, for not only by the grace of God and through my faithful skill of my doctor and my family.
02:04Have I come through my illness?
02:07But I have learned once again that it is in bad times that we vow most highly the support and sympathy of our friends.
02:21For my fans on YouTube and other social media, this support and sympathy has reached me.
02:30I thank you now from my heart.
02:34I trust that you yourselves realize how greatly your players and good wishes have helped me and are helping me in my recovery.
02:50It has been a great disappointment to my family and to myself that we have been complied to give up for the second time, the trip which we have planted for next year.
03:13We are looking forward to meeting my friends in their own homes.
03:20And we realize that they will share our regret that this cannot be.
03:29I am very thankful.
03:31I am very glad that my brother Irvin and my other cousins will be able to visit Montreal.
03:39And I know that they are welcome.
03:42They will be as warm as that wish awaited us.
03:50You are most of you now sitting at home among your families listening to me as I speak from mine.
04:02At Christmas, we feel that the old simple things mattered most.
04:10They do not change however much the world outside may seem to do so.
04:16When we say that Christmas brings good cheer, we do not only think of mutual things, that we think more of the feelings of friendship.
04:29We have one for the other, and I think that among all the blessings which we may count today,
04:41the chief one is that we are all friendly people, we do not all think alike.
04:50Of course, we are such a large family of the world that this will be difficult.
04:57We each have our own ideas.
05:02But we have come to learn, indifferences and opinions are not the shared ex-quarters.
05:13I wonder if we realize just how precious this spirit of friendly and kindness is.
05:25We are living in our age, which is hard and cruel, and if there is everything that we can offer to the world today.
05:39Perhaps it is an example of tolerance and understanding that runs like a golden boy, I sent a special message to all those who are far from their homes and families on this Christmas day.
05:58There is nothing new in this.
06:03We are home loving, but we have never been a stay-at-home people during the war.
06:13We all look forward to the times when we should spend Christmas together at home.
06:20And now the troubles of the world are focused on forcing so many of you to be away from your families.
06:31And my family and I join with all those of my fans who are thinking today of the absent ones from the family circle.
06:43Son of who may be serving in your home country.
06:48I know on Christmas day they will be thinking of their families at home and you will be thinking of them.
06:59But especially we are all thinking of our friends and our sons and brothers who are now facing hardships and danger of the earthquake across Japan and the Philippines.
07:16My family, my friends, and I wish you all near and far and happy.
07:24Merry Christmas and peaceful and happy new year.
07:29I love you guys and happy holidays.
