00:00I'm in Morocco, as yesterday, Match Day 1 of AFCON 2025 came to a close,

00:15with all 24 teams having played their opening game.

00:19Four matches were on the schedule across Groups E and F.

00:22In a dramatic Group E opener, a goalless first half gave way to late twists and turns.

00:33Equatorial Guinea briefly led before Burkina Faso struck twice in stoppage time

00:39through Giorgi Minongo and Edmund Tapsoba to seal a remarkable 2-1 comeback.

00:46With the stands packed and more than 16,000 spectators in attendance,

00:53the vast majority of passionate Algerian supporters,

00:57Riyad Meher scored twice as the Finnex opened their campaign

01:01with a convincing 3-0 victory over Sudan.

02:19and Cameroon held on for a narrow 1-0 win.
