POV: you realize that you learn way more by creating multiple small studies than spending days on a single intricate finished piece. Spending several days working on my portraits taught me patience and attention to detail. But now, I must set aside my perfectionism to take my art to the next level. They say that you learn much more by drawing 100 quick studies than by spending 100 hours on a finished work. Repetition accelerates skill development, diverse subjects enhance your understanding of facial features and expressions, and experimenting with styles becomes easier. Seeing my drawings with a less polished finish is a bit frustrating, but I'm ready to switch into "experimentation" mode and take more risks.
