Every year, Santa Claus relies on Meteored to plan "Route 24 🦌🎁", avoiding storms or taking advantage of the polar jet stream, and this forecast by Helena Mottram is exclusive to him.

00:00Dear Father Christmas,
00:01As every 23rd of December, we're sending you your annual weather report for Operation
00:06Route 24.
00:08Your first stop will be Europe, where you can arrive very quickly by skimming across
00:11the polar air mass if the rindeers are able to fly so close to the tropopause.
00:17If you'd like to land on snow, we recommend southeastern parts of France, where up to
00:2130 cm of snowfall are expected.
00:24Save the Elf Turbo, though, for Germany, as temperatures could drop as low as minus 7
00:29degrees Celsius.
00:31The challenge for the night, though, will be crossing the Atlantic, as there are some storms
00:34across the eastern coast of the United States.
00:38So once you've done your delivery in Portugal, we recommend heading straight to Mexico.
00:41After this, you'll dip south into South America, where you'll enter the Southern
00:45Hemisphere summer.
00:46Be careful, though, in Brazil, as there will be some patches of dense fog around.
00:51As usual, we'll keep you updated throughout the night.
00:53Good luck.
