00:00I think that in this season, Emily finds true love within herself.
00:07What do you think about it?
00:09I love it. I love that. Thank you.
00:10I'm glad that you see that, that you feel that.
00:13I think there's a new inner confidence within Emily that we find this year.
00:18Yeah, there's a sense of relief within herself to feel all the feelings,
00:23to not be perfect and to just let things be.
00:26And when that happened, she can be a bit more messy, a bit more relatable, more empathetic.
00:32And also she can rise to the occasion for other characters that need her,
00:35that may not have needed her before, like Sylvie.
00:38But I appreciate that. Thank you.
00:41Can we define Emily in Paris 5 as the season of maturity?
00:47Yes, definitely.
00:48I think all the characters mature, grow, change, have challenges.
00:54And I think it's what makes the, this season really one of my favorite seasons.
01:01Friendship between Emily and Mindy faces a crisis in this season.
01:08What changes between them?
01:10I think for the first time, and both characters are those for each other,
01:18even when one is not able to ask for help, the other one is there to give it to them.
01:23And I think it's the first time that Mindy doesn't give Emily that chance
01:26by keeping something from her.
01:29And maybe in her mind it was to protect her or just out of fear.
01:33And I think that what changes is that their friendship and sisterhood
01:37has never operated out of fear.
01:39And it's the first time Mindy allows that feeling to kind of intrude into the friendship.
01:46And I think that the grace and the communication and the real fight
01:52that both of them have to hold on to and mend what they have
01:55only makes for a deeper version of itself.
01:58In the season of Emily in Paris, we see Sylvie looking more messy,
02:05metaphorically on course, and vulnerable.
02:08Tell us about this evolution.
02:11Well, we wanted, with Theron, we wanted to have, for Sylvie to have more challenges
02:18and to put her in positions where she could fail and break the armor.
02:23So, for me, it's just, it's like sugar.
02:27I'm happy.
02:28I'm really happy.
02:29I love that.
02:30An actor really loves when there are characters, I mean, an actor loves
02:33when his characters are getting challenges.
02:35And, you know, so it's the more challenging, the better for me.
02:39So I'm really happy.
02:41And, and also think that she needs to kind of let go.
02:45You know, and coming to Italy is a good occasion to let go
02:47because Italy is not like Paris.
02:49It's funny because the character is very, very, you know, uptight in Paris,
02:55kind of let's go in Rome.
02:56And as we go back to Paris, Sylvie, again, is armored.
03:00So it's funny how, you know, this, it's really Italy that also makes it possible,
03:05which is great, you know.
03:07Thank you.
