00:01Sometimes legal battles don't make noise with verdicts but with paperwork.
00:05And in Brad Pitt's long-running dispute with Angelina Jolie over their French winery,
00:10a recent court order has quietly shifted a momentum.
00:13And this time the advantage appears to be with Brad.
00:17A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has ruled that Angelina Jolie must submit unedited communications
00:23linked to the Chateau Miraval case.
00:26The order was issued on Wednesday, December 17, just a day before Pitt turned 62, marking
00:31a notable development in a fight that has dragged on for years.
00:36Granting Brad's motion to compel discovery, the court directed Angelina to hand over complete,
00:42unredacted versions of 22 documents.
00:45This communications exchange between non-attorneys were earlier withheld under claims of privilege.
00:51The court order stated,
00:53The court orders Jolie to produce in full within 45 days of this order.
00:57Unredacted versions of the communications exchange between non-attorneys in 22 documents identified
01:03on Jolie's February 14, 2025 privilege log.
01:08According to a source quoted by People, Pitt's legal team believes the emails are critical.
01:14The emails would prove Jolie has been disingenuous since the start regarding her true intentions
01:19about selling a share of the business to Stoli, the source claimed.
01:24And the court filings reveal Pitt is seeking $35 million in damages tied to Jolie's 2021
01:29sale, to which Jolie's lawyer Paul Murphy has strongly objected, saying,
01:34The court's ruling violates that law undermines Ms. Jolie's fundamental right
01:39to a fair trial.
01:40We will appeal.
01:42With their divorce finalized in December 2024, the winery remains the last unresolved chapter
01:48for them, and it's far from over.
