02:19You know, we are very, very proud as a country.
02:22I expect that FIFA will bring a lot in terms of economic value,
02:25that tourism is important, it creates jobs, it creates opportunity,
02:29and certainly at a time when both Canada and Mexico are looking to, you know,
02:34improve our economies and create more jobs and opportunity for people,
02:37particularly for young people who love to work in sport.
02:39This is a great opportunity and very, very good timing for both Canada and Mexico.
02:44How is to collaborate in Canada and Mexico?
02:47It's easy?
02:48Yeah, well, we already collaborate deeply,
02:51and there's no limit to the amount of shared opportunity that we have together,
02:57whether that's ensuring that our educational programs are complementary
03:01or our work opportunities are complementary,
03:04and to ensure that we're trading on a bilateral basis as much as possible
03:08because we want to be successful together.
03:10And like any good team sport, when you work hard together,
03:12you can expect more victories.
03:14So today out in the courtyard, we're celebrating soccer, certainly,
03:17but we're talking about business.
03:19We're talking about higher education, sport for development,
03:22and deepening our economic ties between our two countries.
03:25How are going the meetings that you're having here with some officials
03:28here in Mexico City, and what do you expect for your meetings in Monterey?
03:33Oh, they're excellent today.
03:34I can tell you that among all of the cities that I've met with
03:36and all of the heads of mission, as well as the mayors
03:38and the municipal leads on these tournaments
03:42across the 16 host cities in North America,
03:46Mexico City is among the most ambitious.
03:48And it's really, really remarkable to see how much they are excited
03:52to leverage the power of sport in improving the lives of people
03:58who live here in Mexico City, whether it's a young person
04:01who's never kicked a ball before that might have that occasion
04:04and opportunity in 2026 because you're a host city,
04:08or if you're just somebody that wants to commute to work
04:10and would prefer to ride a bike.
04:12It's going to improve that infrastructure as well.
04:14It's going to cast a bright light on the power of physical activity and sport
04:18to improve our lives, our livelihoods, our health, our mental health,
04:21and the connections that our communities thrive on.
04:24So really, this couldn't come at a better time for Mexico or Canada.
04:27I just want to emphasize that sport is what brought our leaders together.
04:32President Schoenbaum, President Trump, and Prime Minister Kearney
04:35were there together talking about important issues that impact our country,
04:39but they're there because of sport as the foundation of those meetings.
04:43So it's another opportunity to appreciate the power of sport,
04:46to convene, to lay the groundwork,
04:49and to start the meeting off with a smile or a handshake
04:52or a congratulations or a felicidad.
04:54So it really is just another opportunity to emphasize the power of sport.
05:00Thank you very much.
05:00My pleasure.
