00:00This is all about making sure that we can be better prepared for any future pandemic and I
00:04look forward to providing evidence in the spirit of constructive candour as I enjoyed doing last
00:10time around. But before we begin I would like to extend my condolences to all those families who
00:17lost their loved ones during COVID. Remembering those we lost and all those who suffered should
00:22of course be the starting point for all these discussions. And before we move on to the detailed
00:28questions Mr Wright if I may. I'd like to put on record my thanks and my deep gratitude to the
00:34teams at the Treasury, HMRC and indeed all the departments that work to devise and then deliver
00:42all the economic support programs that were put in place. They work tirelessly, selflessly and without
00:49complaint and I think they demonstrated exceptional skill and professionalism throughout. It was to
00:56me a very fine example of public service and I felt personally very fortunate to have both their
01:02advice and their support during what was an incredibly difficult time for the country.
