00:51rewind it back you see this the weather report well this is an example of the internet of things
00:58that i'm thinking about the wrong thing but i fact checked this a bit too much times than necessary
01:03to make sure that it was true sorry if i'm too obnoxious because the explanation for this is
01:09very long but i will start with the easy and simple explanation that anyone can understand with only
01:15a slight amount of tech experience imagine if your phone's camera is recording the weather forever
01:21and if it fuels moisture water it will text another phone saying raining detected and that phone will
01:28show the weather app that it's raining today if you want slightly more complicated version of this
01:34i'll say it now sensors in an area will capture as much information as possible about the weather
01:40and will send the information that it captures through 5g or wi-fi 5g is a type of mobile data
01:47where the device sends signals to big towers which will pass the signal through themselves to the
01:52signals destination and wi-fi can be wireless internet where device wirelessly connects to an access
01:59point router and the access point router will send and receive signals for the device or wi-fi can be
02:07through satellite satellite internet satellite broadband where satellite will receive signals
02:12from your device that will be sent to a provider office which will send it to wide internet and go
02:18back to the provider office to the satellite and to your device if you don't understand any of that
02:24compare it to a messenger traveling throughout the world to pass messages from the world to you the
02:30information passed down by the sensors would now be in a big data center where all weather related data
02:36from a company is stored from all of its sensors that information will pass from the data center
02:42to your device which will display the current and predicted weather and you can change the information
02:48that it sends to you by choosing which location you want the data to be from now that i've explained the
02:54basics of what it is i must show you the slightly scary amount of devices which are part of the internet of

03:27of devices that are part of the internet of things and that is the reason behind how all apple devices
03:32communicate with each other so well with wi-fi and bluetooth but even though devices can communicate
03:39so well with each other there are some flaws with the internet of things especially privacy because since
03:45most information being passed down for the internet of things is usually through wi-fi or 5g and without
03:52any added security any hacker can access that information and use it for their own purposes
