He played policía, FBI, y cosas así.
00:21So I've had to have some tactical movements and stuff, but never anything, never any military anything, and this, it was really fun, it was really cool to train with, I mean it's only a couple days, but with Freddy Jaffarnsworth, Legends, and so that's new and different for me, it was fun.
00:47But also, the freedom that Luke gave us to sort of like be loose with the lines, and I started to feel it out, like actually by the end of the movie, I truly felt the freedom, because I think there was a part of me that was like, in the beginning was like, really? I can like really change stuff?
01:06So for like half the movie I felt like, I don't know if you really want me to change things, or just give me this freedom, but then by the end I felt a lot of freedom, I was like, oh I wish I'd known that the whole time, but so that's another thing, I feel like most of my career, I've played, I don't know, it's like people don't get a sense of my favorite side of me, I just got started acting because I wanted to make people laugh, really.
01:36And so yeah, so I like, and I think I'm most comfortable, like adding humor to dramas, like what people weren't expecting it, or something, so I did some of that, and that's kind of different for me, like getting to improvise and stuff is a different thing for me, and that's a lot of fun.
02:02So if you're talking about this character playing the military character like this, how does that lead you into what the next project you want to do, that freedom that you talk about, does that make you like now want to direct, does that make you now want to do something different?
02:16Well it made me want to do, honestly it just felt like it ruined me for other projects, because it made me feel, like I don't want to sneak out a term, but one of the other actors, one or two had confessed that they were feeling a little like,
02:34like, oh I can't tell if I'm doing a good job, because I don't, like I don't get a lot of direction or something, and I was like, I'm telling you, because they were a bit newer and stuff,
02:49and I was like, I promise, you're not always going to get this much freedom, and like relish it if you can, because it was, it was my favorite, I don't know, one of my favorite experiences, because it's the trust I always wish I had,
03:08I know, I know we're thinking, sometimes as an actor it feels like, there's a lot left, you've been trying to paint a painting, but then just as you start your first brush stroke, somebody's over your shoulder going like, actually I like, I like when you use this color more, and you're like, okay, and then it's like, actually, could you do like brush strokes that go up at the end, and I'm like, is your, just wait until you see what I've prepared.
03:38Having that experience made me go, oh, I don't want to go back to not having the trust, I don't want to go back to having someone bleed down my neck the whole time, so it ruined me.
03:48Wait a minute, so I'm just going to ask one real quick question, plugging this movie, what would you say to the audience about why they should go see it?
03:57Go see Primitive War, because it's an indie, like slasher, involving dinosaurs, you know,
04:07Dinosaur Vietnam, what, who does this?
04:11And it's bloody, and the dinosaurs look good, and like, it's just, it's an original concept, I mean, Ethan Pettis, you know, came up with it, but Luke did such a great job with it, so yeah, there's nothing like it out there, go check it out.
04:25Take it out there, go check it out.
04:27Take it out there, go check it out there, go check it out there, go check it out there, go check it out there, go check it out there, go check it out there, go check it out there, go check it out there, go check it out there, go check it out there.
