00:27crying in shock after being displaced with his family from one of the Syrian towns toward Turkey, where he spent 13 years.

00:46Today, his return made Syrians cry once again, but this time with tears of joy on the first anniversary of the fall of Assad's regime.

00:57And this is the child Omran, nine years ago, shocked inside an ambulance after being pulled from under the rubble of his bombed home.

01:16He may not remember anything from those moments today, but he came to know his story the same way the world did.

01:23Another child who remained in the memory of Syrians.

01:34Here he is today, returned to a free Syria, as he dreamed and as he promised.
