00:07their products so i'm so excited for you literally me too i've been using elf for so long

00:13their eyebrow gel is the best i wear it every time it's like my favorite product ever but um

00:19so the eyes of famous show is the very first reality show on tiktok which is so cool because

00:25i've never even heard of that idea before but um it allows people on the app who are amazing you

00:33know makeup artists and all that to grow their platform and really get their name out there and

00:36show off their skills and all of that with um me avani and seth who are my you know really really

00:43close friends that i love so much i'm so happy that they're doing this with me um it allows them

00:47to get some tips and tricks about you know makeup and life and hacks on tiktok and how to grow

00:55their social media presence and all of that and overall it's like such a fun experience i've been

01:01texting with all the girls and it's so nice to just like be like a big even though i'm like younger

01:06than most of them be like a big sister to them and give them a bunch of advice and everything and it's

01:12just it's so much fun yeah well so i mean can you just tell me a little bit about how you picked

01:19your winners and really what you were looking for um in the entries that that came your way

01:24so there's a thousand thousands of people that entered and um i was really looking for someone

01:32who is really passionate about being a makeup artist and really passionate about social media

01:38and people who are you know diehard elf fans and people yeah elf products so um i actually chose

01:45um a girl named devon and she's my age and she has such great techniques and her makeup's always

01:53flawless and what really stuck out to me was um her eye look she does like super bright colorful

01:59eye looks and she does cut creases and all of these like cool different ways of doing eye shadow

02:05and um she has such a bubbly personality literally we did a call about two days ago and we're basically

02:13the same person it's really funny it's so fun such a bubbly and bright personality and i could tell

02:20that she will make it super far in this industry and she's so talented so yeah yeah and so the first

02:27challenge was a euphoria style challenge what exactly were you looking for with your contestants

02:33so the euphoria inspired look is a challenging one because it's you know it's very complicated with

02:39the gems and the sparkles and everything and i was really looking for something bold and bright and

02:47with like the use of gems and all of that and she did gems on the side of her face and a purple eye look

02:53and i don't even like the color purple but she made me like the color purple it was i love that

02:59yeah and the way she did her video the transitions and all of that was incredible and it was overall just

03:06like literally a masterpiece and i loved it um and tell me just what is your favorite thing i know

03:13you said you love the brow gel but when it comes to elf cosmetics i mean why is that your go-to

03:18okay so it's it's literally the same as like really really high-end makeup i love like the quality of

03:26the products it's also so affordable and they're cruelty free which is you know the biggest thing when

03:33i'm buying makeup products is yeah they're cruelty free and all of that but um like their camo concealer

03:40i've been using that for so long it's the only concealer that i'll use and um i love it just

03:47because you know everybody can wear it it's not like you go out and you spend a hundred dollars on

03:53a bottle of foundation like it's super affordable and it's really great quality so

03:57yeah um now moving on to kind of your life um what motivated you to you know pick up the phone

04:06or your camera and go make tiktoks review cosmetics and vlog your life um so i was born in la and i

04:15moved to arizona for quite a long time um because of my dad's job and out there you know i was playing

04:24sports and everybody kind of had an idea of what they wanted to do you know they wanted to be a

04:30doctor a lawyer and all of that and i was like really just not interested in any of that stuff

04:35and i was like what can i do because i was acting and singing and dancing my whole entire life and i

04:40knew i wanted a career path in that and i was like how can i start so i you know i'm very tech savvy

04:48i'm constantly on my phone and i was like i could really like make this my thing so i started posting

04:53on tiktok and instagram and i was posting singing covers and dancing videos i was out here in la like

05:00every other literally every other week while living in arizona doing all of that and gradually um my

05:08followers went up and i was like this is so cool and i realized that i had a whole community and a

05:13bunch of supporters and all of that that you know really loved what i was doing and i felt

05:18different and i finally felt like i was in my element so doing that really motivated me i was

05:24like wow like this this is like where i'm supposed to be this is like what i'm supposed to be doing

05:28and you know there's there's people who will constantly you know hate and all of that but i'm

05:34like i really love what i do so you can back off i love that that's exactly the attitude you need

05:40especially in this world in this industry um you know and that kind of brings me to another question

05:46what do you feel like are the biggest misconceptions about yourself and tiktokers in general

05:50um i think that a lot of people would agree that we're you know conceited and we think that we're

06:02above everybody else and all of that and that we only care about the followers which is definitely

06:08not what it is at all i mean um i would like to say that i'm a very humble and kind person but you

06:17know it's really hard for people to understand that because they only know you behind a screen they

06:21they don't know you like for who you really are and sometimes you can't put everything out on social

06:27media just because of privacy reasons and all of that so people don't really actually you know know

06:33who you are like from the inside out and there's you know there's a lot of rumors that go around

06:39and there's a lot of things that are said all the time that just are false and it's really hard to you

06:45know make people believe you and try to be the best person you can be when everybody has this one image

06:51of you just like stuck in their brain when you're the complete opposite yeah how do you overcome that

06:59and how have you kind of learned through all that because i think that that's a really incredible

07:02you know just understanding of what it actually is and it has nothing to do with you but it's

07:09really hard not to personalize that oh yeah it's it's super hard because you know i sometimes i read

07:14comments and i'm like oh like do people like really think that i'm like that because i'm really not

07:20like at the end of the day i'm just a normal girl and i like doing normal things and i you know i have

07:26my best friends in the world who don't do like what i do it's not right nothing about followers

07:31it's nothing like that but um showing your personality online is very important because

07:36if they just see they base you know like they're like oh they make assumptions based off of a 15

07:41second video on tiktok like where you don't speak or you know you don't hear your voice or anything

07:46and you know that kind of sucks so i i try to go live and i dm people and i make group chats and

07:54um i facetime people online and i comment back and talk to people constantly just so they have

08:01a good like so they so they know really who i am because you know you don't face anything off of an

08:08instagram post because it's just you you know and everything's right that half the time everything

08:13you see on social media just isn't who you are you know it's just your highlights yeah and

08:19yeah well it seems like you've made very good friends with charlie and avani can you tell me

08:25a little bit about your friendships um with them and and just you know how you've created these tiktok

08:31friendships so um avani i met at vidcon last year and this is when her clown check was going viral and

08:41we followed each other from even before that but um you know we live super far away so we never met

08:47until vidcon and literally right off the bat we became best friends and it wasn't even that's

08:54another thing a lot of people think like people are friends with people just because of followers

08:59even if we weren't in the same industry we would still be friends like avani is one of the greatest

09:05people i know she's she's so kind and so caring and checks up on me constantly and you know we talk

09:11every single day even if we don't see each other because she's really busy with school and all that

09:15and so am i and then charlie um charlie actually when she came out to la for the first time she was

09:24at my house and um because my best friend chase we were all hanging out and then i had to go to a

09:30meeting or something like that and she was there and we didn't even speak and then we followed each

09:35other from the beginning as well and just gradually like we started talking and we started snapchatting

09:41and hanging out more and same thing with like avani we became best friends instantly we just

09:46you know like same thing with charlie she you know was in a really intense schooling program in

09:52connecticut and all of that and was a dancer and a lot of the time people are going to judge you and

09:56same with avani everyone we have that in common everyone is constantly judging us but

10:01when we're together we're very powerful that's right you know we we really do truly love each

10:09other so much and we are really best friends like people think that it's social media best friends

10:14and it's all in acts but we really are best friends like half the time we'll get comments like

10:17oh why aren't you hanging out with avani or charlie like i am like every single day

10:22i just you know we don't have to post everything but yeah right so much they're gonna be my best

10:28friends forever i love that three powerful women we need that for sure good role models

10:33um now on the app right now do you have a favorite trend going on oh my gosh i have so many favorite

10:41trends um the whole euphoria trend i of course obsessed with i love all of the new transitions and

10:50all the new there's a lot of new beauty influencers on the app who are smaller but they are growing in

10:57their videos are insane and then same with the dance trends there's um you know every day there's

11:04a new trending dance and being a dancer growing up and a dancer now it's so fun just to learn

11:09small bits of choreography and putting it out online so literally what is my favorite dance

11:14trend right now oh gosh there's so many i love there's this new remix it's um sweetie's song tap in

11:21with the jingle bells and it's it's a mess it just reminds me of christmas and that is my favorite

11:28right now we love that that's fun um yeah i mean the whack challenge is still just my number one i think

11:36it'll never go yeah it'll never be old my video got taken down though oh tiktok well at least tiktok

11:46is saved at least it was bought by a company were you nervous i was so nervous i mean i love tiktok

11:52i think everyone was so nervous yeah who don't like take it as seriously as like some of us do they

11:58spend all their time on tiktok because it's the best app it really is and you know something that

12:04i really love i um was talking to a rep from tiktok that we work with at hollywood life and they said

12:10that the goal of tiktok is to make the people when you leave the app and you feel happy whereas

12:16you know sometimes when you leave instagram or twitter you're kind of especially instagram you're

12:20like oh i feel so down in the dumps maybe about myself or like something you see or someone didn't

12:26like my picture whatever on tiktok you really just scroll and feel so good yeah you do and the videos

12:34are so interesting and funny sometimes i'll catch myself being on tiktok for like eight hours and i'm like

12:40what the hell yeah me too i'll like go on before bed and i'll just keep scrolling and then like

12:44two hours have gone by i'm like oh my gosh i needed to go to sleep that was not good

12:48i love it um well maddie is there anything else that you wanted to talk about put out there um

12:56promote anything fun coming up for you oh my gosh yeah so many fun things coming up but everyone
