00:21looking at some of my old photos. Going through my phone and seeing what I
00:27should have deleted. We're about to scroll through these photos from Las
00:32Vegas. Let's see what we got here. I love going to Vegas because RuPaul's Las
00:39Vegas Live is there. We recently went because Kylie has been added to the cast
00:44and I took Brandy and my husband over there to see one of our first weeks being
00:48there. I call the show and they get us good seats. I'm like, can I get some
00:53tickets? And they're like, yeah. And then I usually give them the wrong day and then
00:56it's always my fault. Me and Kylie were roommates before we were on Drag Race.
01:01We were on season two together. And what's funny is, back then you really just
01:05grab from your closet. So if you go back and watch the show, everything that Kylie
01:09ended up wearing after I left was stuff that I was gonna wear. So her country
01:13Western wear was my country wear. And then that orange cheetah leopard thing, that
01:20was my dress that stripped out to reveal. Because we just grabbed stuff from our closet and we were the same size.
01:25So I just left my package behind for her. So, I mean, you can't do that nowadays.
01:31Everything's so custom and, you know, crazy. But anyway, it was so crazy to see her in this huge production like that.
01:39You know, it chokes me up now to really think about it because her picture was like all over Vegas.
01:43That was really cool. We were like posing with her photo. That was so cute.
01:47She was right by the bathroom. I was like, that's such a good placement.
01:52Previous time I went to Vegas in 2021 for the Legends of Drag Tour, which is a book about pioneers in the community all over the country and available on Amazon.
02:02So y'all go get that book because there's all the rah-rah legends that are in that book.
02:07Shawna was featured from Atlanta and we did the book tour with them and we had to stop here.
02:11And afterwards we went up to Piranha and we snuck in the back to see Alexis.
02:16Mama's a big fan of Coco.
02:18But it's just nice to see all the girls, you know, in their own, in their home bars.
02:22I like to see that. I like to see their setups in the dressing room. Like at Piranha, there's like a house out back.
02:28You got to go like over some gravel pit and shit like that. I'm like, oh my God, where they got you girls?
02:34I was like, but not the worst place I've seen. There's been worse. Lord.
02:39Oh, hot chocolate. And so hot chocolate is from Atlanta.
02:43You know, they know each other from a different era.
02:45So to be in the room and to hear them like going back and forth over their stories is so crazy.
02:50That's my sister, Destiny Brooks.
02:52Okay. Shawna only has three children. Me, Destiny and Tara Nicole Brooks as the original child.
03:00Then I'm second and then Destiny's third.
03:02I am the middle child. Never thought about that.
03:04Now I say they're older. I call them all older and bigger and I'm the youngest no matter what.
03:09I'm her favorite, obviously.
03:11Okay. Well, Destiny, she was staying with one of her exes.
03:16So that was a mess. Oh my goodness. Yes. The boys at Piranha are out of control.
03:24Yeah. The strippers in Vegas are crazy. Yeah.
03:28Yeah. But see the thing is, Mama Shawna, she's no fun to go out with really out of town.
03:32She was loosening up about right here, but it took her a minute to relax.
03:36But Destiny, she's crazy.
03:38I can't even tell you half things she did.
03:40And we were probably out late. I think we sent Shawna home.
03:43We were like, bye. Girl, you got to put her in a car. You're just going to put me in a car and send me out.
03:50Yes. We were going to stay out. Bye, Mama.
03:54She wasn't drinking, so she was ready to go and we were ready for her to go.
03:57So we could do what we wanted.
04:00Because, you know, it's really like hanging out with your real mama sometimes.
04:03She'd be looking at you like, another shot?
04:06Yes, girl. We're in Vegas. I'm having another shot.
04:09And they just bought it for me. This is 20 bucks.
04:12I'm not saying no. It'd be rude to say no. I'm a guest here.

04:35Don't stay in the big hotels unless you're getting them comped. Then, okay.
04:40The smaller hotels are easier to get in and out of.
04:42I gamble $20.
04:44And that's it.
04:45It's all I'm willing to lose.
04:47If you give me 20 more dollars, I'll go do it.
04:49But I don't want to lose more than $20.
04:53Yeah, so, you know, a nice $20 a day budget.
04:58And even if you just want to do it all on one thing, if you really want to try it.
05:02But don't do more than that.
05:06Drink lots of water.
05:08Try to drink some water, girl.
