00:00God, I'm good.
00:01Yeah, yeah, I think about that.
00:02Yeah, every day.
00:03Every single day.
00:04When I wake up in the morning, I look in the mirror and go,
00:05you got it, man, you got it.
00:06She is a coat person.
00:09Back to the roots.
00:10Back to the roots.
00:11So let's start there.
00:12Yeah.
00:13What was it like playing brother and sister on screen together?
00:16It was great.
00:18We had a lot of fun.
00:19We had a lot of rehearsal time together with Jim.
00:22And I have a...
00:24One of my little brothers is Spike Sage.
00:26So I think from the beginning, I personally felt very protective of you
00:31and excited because we get to do a lot in this film.
00:35A lot.
00:36They're kind of set pieces.
00:38I have two sisters that are close to Emma's age.
00:42So I just felt, yeah, same.
00:44We're very pragmatic people.
00:46But yeah, it was great.
00:48We had a lot of fun.
00:49Yeah.
00:50I also want to say thank you for having a film title
00:53where the character's name has a small C and a big C
00:56because my name is McCallum.
00:57So I have a small C and a big C.
00:59People still find it confusing.
01:01Yeah.
01:02And obviously you've got the Mac as well.
01:04Yeah.
01:05We go through things.
01:06We do real stuff.
01:08All right.
01:09So this is a representation we need.
01:10Do you know what I mean?
01:11Absolutely.
01:12Absolutely.
01:13That is very niche, but I just wanted to get that idea.
01:14No, I'm glad you said it.
01:15I'm glad you said it.
01:16Thank you for highlighting it.
01:17But listen, Ella is a chronic overachiever,
01:19but she never takes a moment to pause
01:22and realize what she achieved.
01:24And I am the worst at that.
01:26I mean, how are you guys at like pausing and being like,
01:28you know what?
01:29I'm doing quite well.
01:30Oh, are you good at that?
01:32Do you have little moments where you're able to...
01:34It's hard to do, isn't it?
01:35I reckon.
01:36It's a good thing to do though.
01:38It is a really good thing to do.
01:39It's a healthy...
01:40Do you do it?
01:41I think, mate, I think I do.
01:42Yeah, I just really think about...
01:43God, I'm good.
01:44Yeah, yeah.
01:45I think about that every day.
01:46Every single day.
01:47They look in the mirror and go,
01:48you got it, man.
01:49You got it.
01:50But it is hard to do.
01:52I think...
01:53I mean, maybe Ella's that for Casey
01:57and Aunt Helena's that for Ella.
02:00You have to...
02:01Sometimes you need people to remind you
02:02to just take a beat and take stock
02:04and appreciate where you are
02:06and just kind of take a breath.
02:07And I think it's very easy to get caught up in everything
02:10and everything moves so fast
02:11and our brains are worrying all the time
02:13and that's good.
02:15but sometimes just, yeah,
02:16taking a breath and looking, you know,
02:18looking at the present moment is good and healthy.
02:22I'm going to replay that
02:23because I like to give out advice
02:26but I never take it
02:27so I'm going to replay that
02:28every time I'm having like a...
02:29Yeah, you should be.
02:30A wubble.
02:31I need an Aunt Helen.
02:32I mean, honestly, Jamie Lee Curtis.
02:34Is it too amazing?
02:35Just the biggest hype woman.
02:36I mean...
02:37I know.
02:38How much of a laugh did you have working with her
02:40and how much did you feel empowered
02:42after, like, being in her presence?
02:44Yeah, I mean, she's just great, isn't she?
02:46Yeah, she's nice.
02:47She's a riot.
02:48And she cares so much.
02:49I mean, she really cares.
02:50She is that sort of...
02:51She's, you know,
02:52she is that sort of person
02:53who's just got this very generous spirit
02:55and has experience
02:57and is willing to try
02:59and show up every day
03:00and work really hard
03:01and she's just a great person to be around.
03:04And I, you know,
03:05we had most of my scenes with her really in the end
03:07so to have that kind of presence
03:09bolstering you the whole way is amazing.
03:12And I needed it.
03:13Do you know what I mean?
03:14I really needed that...
03:15Yeah, that hand on my back
03:16to kind of hold me together
03:19and hold me down.
03:20So yeah, she was amazing.
03:21And it would be a scandal
03:23if I didn't talk about our very own Jack Lowden.
03:26I mean, I know.
03:28Our Jack.
03:29Yep, yep, yep.
03:30Personally, I know he's a great guy.
03:32Yeah.
03:33What was it like working with him?
03:34Because he's also fun as well, right?
03:35He is.
03:36He is.
03:37He's so fun.
03:38And he arrived at a point in the shoot
03:41where, I mean,
03:42he sort of brought this whole new energy to the story
03:45because it had been just us
03:46and this character is so specific as well
03:48and obviously he's problematic on many levels
03:51but he's also,
03:52you had to understand
03:53why she falls for him in the first place
03:55and I think that was Jim's challenge
03:58was understanding what was attractive about him
04:00and what he sees in her
04:01and how when you're that age
04:03and you have someone believe in you
04:04whether romantically or not by the way
04:05but when you have someone
04:06who kind of champions you
04:07and believes in you
04:08it's a really kind of encouraging thing
04:10and you can sort of understand
04:12why she gets swept up in that
04:14and thinks he's in it for the right reasons
04:16and maybe he is in the beginning
04:17and then it kind of sours in the end quite drastically
04:21but he's great
04:23and he was so free with it
04:24like he's, you know,
04:25he was really, yeah, free with it
04:28and tried lots of stuff
04:29and brought loads of things to the table
04:30and improvised some things
04:31and yeah, it was great.
04:32It was like a burst of energy.
04:34Yeah, he's amazing in the film.
04:36Yeah.
04:37That's all I can say.
04:38Thank you, yeah.
04:39He's such a good laugh.
04:43He's such a good laugh.
04:44My petition is Jack Lyden for James Bond.
04:47007, I can see it.
04:50Back to the roots.
04:52Back to the roots.
04:53Scottish roots.
04:54And I think your Jack would be great.
04:55Check this space.
04:56Want the charm?
04:57Yeah, absolutely.
04:58Let's see.
04:59Yeah.
05:00I'll second it.
05:01Yeah.
05:02Are we voting?
05:03Yeah, I'll just bring the petition
05:04in for you to sign it.
05:05Okay, I'll sign it.
05:06Yeah, yeah, yeah.
05:07Amazing, guys.
05:08Listen, thank you so much.
05:09I really love this
05:10and I love chatting to you both.
05:12I love that coat as well.
05:13I feel like Ella's a very, like, coat person.
05:15She is a coat person.
05:16She's a coat person.
05:17I don't know why I have to shout that.
05:18She is a coat person.
05:19She's a coat person.
05:20She's a coat person.
