00:00Right now, there's a trend on social media about manifestation.
00:03Every influencer is talking about manifestation.
00:07And when so many people are talking about it,
00:09it raises the question, does it actually work?
00:12You desire something and then you imagine
00:14your desire has been fulfilled, right?
00:17We don't have any wonderful desires.
00:19We have very stinking desires.
00:22What does the young lustful person desire?
00:24All the available bodies of the other gender
00:27or maybe the same gender, I don't know.
00:29From something and he's manifesting.
00:32Do we ever desire anything that is really good for everybody?
00:36The question remains, was that thing worth it?
00:41So I used to dance, sketch, paint, everything.
00:45As the years went by, I had to leave them behind.
00:48I felt a little lost.
00:49From you, I would like to know that what exactly is creativity?
00:53Can you elaborate on this?
00:55What is it that you have deprived yourself of?
00:57Within you, your exposure runs to two of your own
01:00and two of your friend.
01:01Two plus two, four.
01:02And what life is offering you is 240.
01:05Creativity does not come from pre-cooked material.
01:08Creativity is to dare life as it is.
01:12But you stick to the past and you stick to the influences.
01:15This is called the...
01:16So my question is about manifestation.
01:23Right now, there's a trend on social media about manifestation.
01:27Every influencer is talking about manifestation.
01:30And when so many people are talking about it,
01:33it raises a question.
01:35Does it actually work?
01:37And because of that question, I tried in my own life.
01:40And a lot of people say different things.
01:43Write what you want on a wall.
01:44Write what you want on a book.
01:46And read that thing every day.
01:48And some say, hold that idea fast in your mind.
01:52And over time, all the decisions that you take throughout the day
01:56will align towards that goal.
01:57And some people even say, if you want to be a rich person,
02:02just believe that you already are a rich person.
02:05So is this idea a good idea to have?
02:10So is there any truth to manifestation?
02:14Because there's so many people talking about it.
02:17I thought it could work.
02:18And it worked to some extent.
02:21So could you please shed some light on this idea?
02:24And whether it is something that could work or a complete hope?
02:33Understand the entire paradigm here.
02:39We'll get into this later.
02:41Whether it works or not.
02:44First of all, what is this thing called manifestation?
02:48Manifestation is simply an expression of your desire, right?
02:54You desire something and then you imagine your desire has been fulfilled, right?
03:00That's manifestation for the uninitiated.
03:05Question is, what is it that you are going to desire in the first place?
03:12What is it that you desire?
03:13Do you know what to desire?
03:22And what if you actually start getting what you desire?
03:25You think your life would be better off?
03:29Think of all the stupid things you have so keenly desired.
03:33What if your desire had actually been fulfilled?
03:37You would have been finished off.
03:39But that's what lack of honesty does.
03:47You won't want to encounter
03:51the ugliness of your desires.
03:56One way is to simply write down
03:59the things that you have desired in the past
04:03and somehow gotten rid of.
04:05If you desired something, that thing came to you
04:10and then it took a lot of time and effort
04:13and wounds
04:15to get rid of that thing.
04:17Has it happened?
04:19Because the desiring one is not wise at all.
04:25What would a terrorist desire?
04:27Yes, that's it because you are a terrorist, so you desire something.
04:38What does the common man desire?
04:39Give me more money.
04:44What will the politician desire?
04:47Finish off the democracy and give me power for life.
04:49Not just power.
04:53Secured power.
04:55Assured power for entire life.
04:58These are the desires that we have.
04:59Please understand first of all.
05:03We don't have any wonderful desires.
05:06We have very stinking desires.
05:09What does the young lustful person desire?
05:15And most people are lustful.
05:18At least in their private corners.
05:21What does the young lustful person desire?
05:24All the available bodies of the other gender
05:27or maybe the same gender, I don't know, something.
05:31That's all that the person desires, right?
05:36And he is manifesting.
05:39And this trick called manifestation has any validity to it.
05:47It would be very problematic, no?
05:51What would the rapist desire?
05:55And he is manifesting.
05:57And the manifestation comes true.
06:03Do we ever desire anything
06:05that is really good for everybody?
06:14What you desire is in most cases harmful
06:19for the entire world?
06:25Or is it not?
06:26You just don't want a bigger car.
06:35Left to yourself, you will want the entire road.
06:39And what does that mean for the rest of the travelers and drivers?
06:44They are out.
06:50First of all, it is not good even for you.
06:53And secondly, your desires are rarely good for everybody.
06:58In fact, in so many cases, the desire is just to kill the other person.
07:06They say God appeared
07:10in front of two or three people.
07:13And they were asked their desires.
07:14The first one said,
07:18give me this much, this much, this much, this much.
07:19And he kept speaking till he fainted.
07:23Because the list of desire never exhausts itself.
07:27So that fellow kept speaking of his desires till he passed out.
07:33Anyway, God said, fine.
07:34Tathastu.
07:36May all be desires be met.
07:38So,
07:39the second one was asked,
07:41now what do you want?
07:42He said,
07:43you just give me double of what you gave the other person.
07:51God says, fine.
07:53You too can have that.
07:54Then God comes to the third one, what do you want?
07:57He said, withdraw whatever you gave to these two.
08:01That's how our desires are.
08:04Relative to others.
08:08And manifestation is all about fulfilling your desire,
08:11which is a very, very dangerous thing.
08:13Because your desire is good for nobody, not even you.
08:21Is there anybody who at some point in time,
08:24at some fleeting moment,
08:26not desire to kill somebody?
08:28Please tell me.
08:29Anybody here?
08:33He has wanted.
08:36Oh, come on, I know.
08:38When it comes to me, at least I know thousands who have wanted to kill me.
08:46What if this desire is fulfilled?
08:51Why is it so difficult to acknowledge that our desires are stupid?
08:56That we don't know what is good for us?
09:01That is one thing.
09:02Now, whether it can work, whether it can work, the first part we said, even if it works, so what?
09:12Now, whether it can work, see, most people want very, very common things.
09:20And that's why there is so much competition in the world.
09:23Because most people set their sights on just the few common things.
09:30And who gets that thing?
09:31Usually the one who has put in more effort.
09:34Obviously, luck connections and mischief and tricks, all manipulations, they also count for a lot.
09:44But if the systems are more or less okay,
09:49and you are devoting a lot of your energy towards attaining some object,
09:54chances are you may get that object.
09:56Does that happen or not?
09:58It is not that all your desires remain unmet.
10:02If you really, really work hard for something, there is a 50, 60, 70% chance you will get that thing.
10:08Right?
10:10So, yes.
10:11If you are so concentrated on something,
10:14you will probably get that thing.
10:17Just probably.
10:18It is also possible you may not get it.
10:20But if you invest your energy, concentrate on something,
10:25probably you will get it.
10:26The question remains,
10:28was that thing worth it?
10:31You gave it so much time,
10:34so much respect.
10:35Did it deserve that?
10:37That's the question.
10:41If you are so mad after something,
10:44that continuously you are hallucinating about it,
10:48and that hallucination is called manifestation,
10:50then there is a fair chance that you will get that thing that you want.
10:57Not because the trick has worked,
10:59but because you are putting so much into it.
11:02You will get that thing.
11:04But are you convinced that the thing that you will get,
11:07will be good for you?
11:10That's the question.
11:11And once you know what is good for you,
11:17then you don't need any manifestation or such stupid trick.
11:22Once you know what is really right for you,
11:24then there is an explosion of inner energy.
11:28Then you don't manifest or imagine it.
11:32You work because the thing is right.
11:34You don't care for the future.
11:40You don't ask whether I will reach the destination.
11:43You say,
11:43I need to walk this road.
11:46If the destination is met, wonderful.
11:49Maybe the road is endless.
11:50Maybe there is no destination.
11:51That too is wonderful.
11:53But this is the path I should take.
11:57No manifestation or any such thing needed.
11:59It depends on who the desirous one is.
12:12If you are awakened,
12:15if you are wise,
12:17then your desires
12:20will be wise too.
12:22But if you are stupid,
12:23then all your desires will be stupid.
12:26It depends on your inner condition.
12:28So, he must know more to desire better.
12:32Obviously.
12:33Obviously.
12:35A madman can desire 100 things.
12:39All 100 desires
12:41will bear the stamp of his madness.
12:44You cannot say,
12:45you know,
12:4680% desires are foolish,
12:47but 20% are very wise.
12:49It is not possible.
12:50Because the desiring one is mad,
12:52therefore,
12:53all 100 desires will be equally stupid.
12:59Since childhood,
13:01I have been a little creative
13:02as well as studious
13:04because that's the way of life.
13:05That's what parents tell you to do.
13:07So,
13:08I used to dance,
13:09sketch,
13:10paint,
13:10everything.
13:11But then the thing is,
13:13as the years went by,
13:14I had to leave them behind.
13:16Once I came back to college,
13:18I started pursuing clubs
13:20and I got back
13:22into being creative.
13:24But when at the end of the day,
13:26when I did all these things
13:28and went back to my room
13:29and saw other people like my peers
13:31doing the technical stuff.
13:33And they used to like,
13:35you know,
13:35I used to see them pursuing courses.
13:37But then the thing is,
13:39I thought that I,
13:40why am I not doing the same things as they are?
13:43I felt a little lost.
13:44But then in your book,
13:46there's this quote and chapter,
13:48which talks about
13:50when one is not caught in mundane rubbish,
13:52creativity just happens.
13:54You don't develop it.
13:55You only remove what blocks it.
13:57You can't cause creativity,
13:58but you can invite it.
14:00It comes on its own.
14:02Then it finds a clean space to enter.
14:05Now,
14:06this code broke the perception that I had
14:09that,
14:09oh,
14:10I am creative and I'm doing,
14:11I'm not doing tech stuff.
14:13So,
14:14from you,
14:14I would like to know
14:16that what exactly is creativity?
14:18Can you elaborate on this?
14:20Because now
14:21that my perception has been shattered,
14:22I'd like you to elaborate on it.
14:25See,
14:26we'll start from the other side.
14:29How do we usually operate?
14:33We usually operate driven
14:36by our past
14:40and by others,
14:43the situations at hand.
14:45that's how most people,
14:48most of the times function.
14:53Now,
14:53in this,
14:54there can be no originality
14:56because your past is deciding
14:58what is good,
14:58what is bad for you.
15:00I'll give you an example.
15:02You visit a
15:05really,
15:05really good Chinese restaurant.
15:07but let's say,
15:12all that you have been exposed to
15:16so far in your past
15:20is the humble
15:23noodles
15:25and the Manchurian balls.
15:28That's the maximum exposure you have
15:30to Chinese cuisine.
15:31Now the menu runs over 12 pages there.
15:36It's a good restaurant,
15:38have an extensive range.
15:42Still,
15:42what is it that you would offer?
15:43And mind you,
15:44you love the noodles.
15:48Since 10 years,
15:49you have been a noodles fan.
15:52So, there is pleasure in the past.
15:54There is,
15:56in the past,
15:58instance of a pleasurable experience.
16:00Not one instance,
16:00but
16:01many instances of
16:03a pleasurable experience
16:04with something called
16:05noodles.
16:07And the menu runs over 12 pages
16:08and yet,
16:09what is it that you would order?
16:13Noodles.
16:13That's how most of us operate,
16:15right?
16:16That's how most of us operate.
16:18Or,
16:19if you have gone there with a group
16:21and there is someone with you
16:25who claims to be a connoisseur
16:27in these things,
16:28this fellow says,
16:29no.
16:31I know China in and out.
16:35We'll order special Momos.
16:41I know everything.
16:42So, maybe you will yield and say,
16:43okay, fine.
16:45Momos along with noodles.
16:47What is it that you have deprived yourself of?
16:48That's the maximum width,
16:50diversity
16:53your,
16:55plate,
16:56your table can take.
16:58Are you getting me?
17:00It's coming either from the past
17:02or from the
17:04surroundings.
17:05That's the natural mode of operation.
17:08Now, that begs the question,
17:10what is it that you have deprived yourself of?
17:13What is it?
17:17The menu,
17:18we said,
17:19ran over
17:2112 full pages.
17:25And each page
17:27had some 20 dishes.
17:29What is it that you have deprived yourself of?
17:36Within you, your exposure runs to two of your own
17:38and two of your friend.
17:40Two plus two, four.
17:41And what life is offering you is 240.
17:46And you have no idea what kind
17:50of joy might be there in the other roads open to you.
17:58But you stick to the past and you stick to the influences.
18:01This is called being uncreative.
18:05This is called being uncreative.
18:07Now, tell me what is creativity?
18:11Creativity is to first of all, realize that we are uncreative people.
18:19We are puppets with strings
18:23in the past or in the hands of others.
18:28The moment you realize that,
18:30you don't want to be too quick with placing the order.
18:33You will maybe call the waiter, even the chef
18:39and inquire.
18:39Even if they feel a little irritated, you will keep inquiring.
18:43No, there is this dish with this very queer name.
18:48First of all, how to pronounce it?
18:49Okay, now tell me, what is it about?
18:56I am not giving you a blueprint for creativity.
19:02I am just telling you, what all is possible, but forsaken.
19:07To not to stick to your groove.
19:11To not to remain safely confined by your pre-existing,
19:18within your pre-existing experiences.
19:23That's creativity.
19:25So, creativity carries that question mark.
19:27Because what is from the past or the surroundings is known,
19:32well-known, right?
19:33You know noodles.
19:35Your mother knows noodles.
19:36Even your grandmother may know noodles.
19:39So, noodles is very well-known.
19:41But all the other things, they will require a question mark.
19:45Otherwise, you cannot know.
19:48So, creativity begins with that question mark.
19:50Creativity begins with stepping outside your known zone.
19:54This is something I already know, but I don't want to limit myself to this.
20:01What else is possible?
20:03What is in the domain of the unknown?
20:06Can I be bold enough to test that?
20:08That is creativity.
20:11Creativity does not come from pre-cooked material.
20:16Creativity is to dare
20:20life as it is.
20:24Not to say, you know, I am very safe in this little prison cell of mine.
20:28I don't want to start out of it.
20:30That's not creativity.
20:35Classically, it is said, creativity is when something arises from nothing.
20:40But that's a little too abstract a definition for you.
20:47Creativity is when something arises out of nothing.
20:50What does that nothing mean?
20:52Means, I am not confined by my past.
20:56I am not leaning upon my current supports.
21:02And yet, I am able to act.
21:04So, something is arising from nothing.
21:07That is creativity.
21:08Creativity.
21:13Yeah.
21:17Hi, this is Ashutosh Singh from Kanpur.
21:20I am an IT professional working from almost 10 years now.
21:23I am listening to Acharya Ji from last almost one and a half years already.
21:30I started listening to him from YouTube channel.
21:32And the videos what he makes and the knowledge which he actually shares is truly mind blowing.
21:40I mean, that's something which you really start realizing about your own life.
21:46There is a lot which we do in IT world.
21:48I would literally want to say that IT people are literally intelligent enough to learn machines.
21:54But there is a really good machine that's our own body and then a conscious mind.
21:59We should literally spend time to learn ourselves better.
22:04And I think I am into Bhagavad Gita just because I am more into learning my own self.
22:10If you literally feel that you are into pain and you don't even realize it
22:15and you are still into rat race for the entire life.
22:18Come on, we all need to really die.
22:21We all are born to die.
22:22Why not do something better?
22:24Learn ourselves.
22:25Learn our lives.
22:26Realize what the purpose of life.
22:28And then die.
22:29This is something better, right?
22:31I have realized it.
22:32And the favorite word in English I would say is choice.
22:37Yeah.
22:38So we all have choice.
22:39I had choice.
22:40I have made a choice which is literally mind blowing in my life.
22:44And that's the same choice which you all also have.
22:48Come on, let's pick it up and change our own life.
22:56This is the first saying.
22:58You never get an eye for me and?
22:58Let's go with me as possible.
22:59Surely be lost.
23:01Let us have faith in us.
23:01The second saying.
23:02I'm
23:04I'm
23:06I'm
23:08I'm
