00:01:19It's ooh it's a feel.
00:01:20But we don't deserve the task.
00:01:25Since some son would be he.
00:01:26Maybe we just need to delve somewhere.
00:01:28Match it frequently.
00:01:29But we know anything.
00:01:32Everybody admits it anyway.
00:01:36So take a seat.
00:01:37We don't need to get it anymore.
00:01:39We do whatever we find.
00:01:41We make our public free.

00:06:17From the BBC, this is Strictly Come Dancing.
00:06:22Please welcome Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
00:06:28Welcome to Strictly Come Dancing, it's Musicals Week.
00:06:42A huge thank you to our couples for that amazing opening number, choreographed by Matt Flynn.
00:06:48Wasn't it brilliant?
00:06:50Absolutely amazing.
00:06:51Oh, brilliant.
00:06:52Tonight, the West End takes over the ballroom as our couples pay tribute to some of the biggest musicals of all time.
00:06:59Plus, we have a performance from Tom Fletcher and one very famous bear.
00:07:03But first, time for a big song and dance.
00:07:06Please welcome the judges.
00:07:10Craig Rebel-Horwood and Motsi Mabuse.
00:07:13Shirley Ballas and Anton Dubek.
00:07:17One night only, one night only, it's all I have to say.
00:07:24One night only, it's all I have to say.
00:07:29One night only, one night only, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.
00:07:42One night only, it's all I have to say.
00:08:12One night only, it's all I have to say.
00:08:43Keep my self to me.
00:08:54Welcome everyone, you look fantastic.
00:08:57After two perfect scores last weekend, expectations are high tonight.
00:09:02So let's get started.
00:09:04First up, with an Argentine tango, it's George and Alexis.
00:09:07we are at his majesty's theater where they perform phantom of the opera hi guys welcome
00:09:19i'm dean i play the phantom and i'm lily i play christine we are dancing phantom of the opera
00:09:24this week and we are doing an argentine tango to it so i would love your tips on just channeling
00:09:30the character i think for you george it's what's really important to remember is everything about
00:09:34him is so precise everything comes from the soul and you'll feel that i like that yeah so he does
00:09:39everything with with breath and all these movements are specific i feel like it makes a lot of sense
00:09:45with the argentine tango it was interesting to see how even though they're not dancing there is a sort
00:09:51of element of dance about it he gets as close as he can and then i was told a lot about being nice
00:09:57and deliberate with movements bring back this from your hand i understand the character more i
00:10:03understand what we're trying to portray just a little gift from us oh well thank you very much
00:10:08that's really cool there's a phantom mask so today was such a special experience and i feel like we've
00:10:13learned so much about the characters and now i want to take all of that and let's put it in the training
00:10:18window
00:10:18the argentine tango i think it's a very precise done if you're not precise you're gonna go away with a lot
00:10:26bruises on your shins i'll give a nice like shoom down you're taking what you want i think the advice
00:10:33that we got earlier in the week definitely has helped eye contact not to the touch i feel like
00:10:38there's definitely moments where i just lock in and i just try and become the phantom this is tension
00:10:42that's like our first like real eye contact the phantom of the opera is one of the most sort of iconic
00:10:48musicals it feels like there's big shoes to fill there so hopefully i can do that that was good
00:10:55dancing the argentine tender george clark and alexis wall
00:11:04you have come here in pursuit of your deepest urge in pursuit of that wish which till now
00:11:18has been silent silent
00:11:23has the point of no return no backward glances the games we play till now at an end
00:11:42what raging fire just love is so what rich desire unlocks its door
00:11:52but sweet seduction lies before us
00:11:59us
00:12:00us
00:12:02us
00:12:03the point of no return
00:12:05the fight fresh heart
00:12:09was love and smoke and secrets
00:12:13will we land
00:12:15beyond the point of no
00:12:19point of no return
00:12:26oh
00:12:27oh
00:12:29oh
00:12:31oh
00:12:32oh
00:12:33Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:13:03Oh, oh.
00:13:05Well done.
00:13:07Oh, God.
00:13:09What a moment.
00:13:11Just close that up for a moment.
00:13:13Close it up.
00:13:15Goodness me.
00:13:17What a reaction in the studio.
00:13:19For your very first time up in the show.
00:13:22I could see you were really in the zone then, weren't you?
00:13:25Yes.
00:13:27You still there?
00:13:29I feel like I'm awake now, yeah.
00:13:31I think you make an excellent phantom.
00:13:34What do you think, Motsi?
00:13:35Well, first of all, I have to say well done to all the couples.
00:13:38That opening was absolutely sensational.
00:13:40I mean, honestly, it was.
00:13:44And I feel like that it set the tone.
00:13:47I mean, this year for me is the year of dancing.
00:13:50And you opening the show like that with such a conviction,
00:13:55with the sensitive part in the beginning of the dance.
00:13:57And I just have to give Alexis a compliment.
00:14:00Girl, you were flying in the air and swimming.
00:14:05And I think that you could only do such type of movements
00:14:11if you trust your partner, if you have
00:14:13someone with such strong partnering skills that is there.
00:14:17And you know I can let go, plus the characterization that you.
00:14:21I think the mask helped you a little bit today.
00:14:23You're like, I'm behind the mask.
00:14:25I can do it all.
00:14:26So it was a lot of fun.
00:14:27I love the energy in that.
00:14:29Well done, guys.
00:14:30Thank you very much.
00:14:31Great.
00:14:31Cheers.
00:14:32Come on.
00:14:33Shirley.
00:14:34Well, I like this side of you.
00:14:36This seriousness, the precision of leading,
00:14:40of being able to hold with the right and the left,
00:14:43and understanding where two body weights meet together.
00:14:46And I agree with Motsi.
00:14:48You being able to do what you did, Alexis, is down to the fact
00:14:51that he is totally in control of what he's doing.
00:14:53Absolutely.
00:14:54And I love the whole ambiance of it, just the character.
00:14:58It was seamless.
00:14:59I really enjoyed it.
00:15:00What a great start to the night.
00:15:03And you've been working so hard on that precision.
00:15:06We know that.
00:15:07Anton.
00:15:08I was taken aback by your intensity at the beginning.
00:15:10I love this.
00:15:11This is the George I really enjoy.
00:15:14I like to really laugh and having a lovely time.
00:15:15But when you were here, and you were on the balcony there,
00:15:17and you were all serious, you didn't look.
00:15:19I thought, yes.
00:15:21Come on, George.
00:15:22This is great.
00:15:23I want this.
00:15:24All right, here.
00:15:25Then you came down.
00:15:27I love this about you.
00:15:28Because it transferred into the dance.
00:15:31And so you had an intensity of your partnering.
00:15:33I've complimented your partner through the whole series.
00:15:35This has been your greatest skill,
00:15:37is your quality of partnering.
00:15:38It's a sort of a natural thing, which
00:15:40has enabled Alexis to do some wonderful lifts and tricks.
00:15:44Brilliant.
00:15:45All because of you, as the girl said.
00:15:46But the intensity was the thing that struck me.
00:15:49I loved it.
00:15:50I want more of this.
00:15:52Please.
00:15:53Thank you, George.
00:15:54Well done.
00:15:56What about you, Craig?
00:15:59I thought the footwork was a little untidy.
00:16:02I've got to be honest.
00:16:04It was a little bit sticky from step to step.
00:16:07I felt like you were shuffling sometimes
00:16:09into the lifts to gain purchase.
00:16:12I would like to see a little bit more of an A-frame,
00:16:15like the Argentine tango in it.
00:16:17It's difficult music.
00:16:18I get that.
00:16:19I think you handled the music particularly well,
00:16:21particularly the slow bit.
00:16:22And then finding the rhythm within the dance.
00:16:26But the lifts were absolutely excellent.
00:16:29You had power, control, and proper drama.
00:16:33Thank you so much.
00:16:35Well, the judges think you're a great leading man, George.
00:16:38Congratulations.
00:16:38Thank you very much.
00:16:39Go and get your scores.
00:16:40Thank you so much.
00:16:42Thank you so much.
00:16:44Thank you very much.
00:16:48George and Alexis first time opening the show nerve-racking or charming um nerve-racking definitely
00:17:02yeah it's scary going first but now you can enjoy everybody else it was all about the power this
00:17:08week wasn't it how happy are you then judges said you had it yeah no it's good I mean the
00:17:13power is a challenge because it's supposed to be obviously very strong but she weighs nothing so
00:17:17too strong she's in the wrong marquee so I need to yeah you were excited about the makeover talk me
00:17:24through that yeah no it's nice to show less face on television Alexis it's your favorite musical you
00:17:32always wanted to do this number it is when I first got the call that I was a pro on Strictly literally
00:17:38the next day I went online in the States and I booked a ticket to see the family opera for the
00:17:43first time when I came here and it's yeah so dream and also this song oh I've always wanted to do an
00:17:49Argentine tango to this song and it's one of my favorites it's just so it gets me so giddy and I
00:17:55love it brilliantly and just for you we have a message from the king of musicals himself have a
00:18:03good evening George I have a message from the phantom of the opera fondest greetings monsieur George I

00:19:32i love it test thank you our next star earned her first perfect 40 last weekend for a flawless couples choice with the place in the semi-final at stake tonight she's hoping to deliver another show-stopping routine with a samba inspired by sweet charity it is Karen and Carlos
00:19:50on Saturday night I felt very emotional I immediately thought about my mum and blew her kiss and then it was that was a little bit of a challenge for me to hold it together I never thought we would have got 40
00:20:04hey it is your first ever 40 for both of you thank you so much if there's anything that could humble a 40 and a couple's choice it's doing an innocent dance to a cha cha and finishing last
00:20:18in sixth place Karen and Carlos my cha cha was terrible so at least I own it
00:20:26one it's musical week and we are dancing the samba to my favorite musical
00:20:35so close sweet charity it's 60s it's hippies it's going to be amazing
00:20:41tum tum
00:20:43samba is very challenging for me got this weird kind of bop and rhythm it's a bit strange
00:20:48and eight
00:20:49samba has a most complex rhythm so different steps has a different timing different footwork but I have a faith and confident in her
00:20:58and the fire
00:20:58the look of this dance is as important as dance itself and I really need Karen to take
00:21:08this element of fun and the colors into our dancing
00:21:11what is going on this theme is about freedom it's about the colors it's a time for a fashion show
00:21:20Carlos is in his element he loves his song he loves the dress up he loves the vibe
00:21:27this one's not bad you just got to get into the groove and enjoy it this is it fantastic
00:21:34now I've had my full makeover on Saturday I will give absolutely everything
00:21:43dancing the samba
00:21:48Karen Connie and Carlos
00:21:50let's go
00:21:52let's go
00:21:53let's go
00:21:57let's go
00:22:00let's go
00:22:04let's go
00:22:06let's go
00:22:07let's go
00:22:09let's go
00:22:11And the voice said, Daddy, there's a million pigeons waiting to be heard on new religions. Take the road, Daddy, leave your covers all blank. Spread the religion and the rhythm of life. And the rhythm of life is a powerful beat. It's a tingle in your fingers and a tingle in your feet. Rhythm in your bed and rhythm in the street. Yes, the rhythm of life is a powerful beat.
00:22:41Lift your wings and fly to Daddy. Lift your wings and fly to Daddy. Fly, fly, fly to Daddy. Take a dive and swim to Daddy.
00:24:03I mean...
00:24:05Come on.
00:24:07I think they like it.
00:24:10Look at you.
00:24:12Front and centre and a full ensemble and loving every moment.
00:24:16Oh, here, just give it everything we got.
00:24:17You give it everything and that's why we love you for that.
00:24:20You look gorgeous.
00:24:21Thank you, Carla.
00:24:22Always bring in the rhythm to life.
00:24:24Yes.
00:24:25It's our brilliant Dave Arch, his band, and our fantastic live singer.
00:24:28Woo!
00:24:29Thank you, Tommy Blaze.
00:24:31That was amazing.
00:24:32Oh, it was so amazing.
00:24:33You're right, Carla.
00:24:35And the samba is a tough dance.
00:24:37I know.
00:24:38It's the quarter-finals, Shirley.
00:24:40What do you think?
00:24:41Well, I personally love the whole production of it.
00:24:43I want to say that, first of all.
00:24:44Do you want to point out some things to you?
00:24:46But a lot of ladies come through this competition.
00:24:49But your sense of balance, for me, is absolutely off the chart.
00:24:54Let me explain.
00:24:56In this third section here, you had a right or a left underarm turn.
00:25:00You actually missed the turn, but you didn't miss the balance.
00:25:03That's impressive for me, I have to say.
00:25:05Your spins, your chemistry together, syncopated,
00:25:08a quarter-jacka, you didn't even just do what was playing in the book,
00:25:11you upped it another level.
00:25:13You had the bounce when it came to the Croissatus walks and locks.
00:25:16You attempted the shadow role.
00:25:17I thought, all in all, you are quite the force to be reckoned with in my opinion.
00:25:22Oh, thank you so much.
00:25:24You're good.
00:25:27No, Ryan, it's fine.
00:25:29Anton, this is the samba you enjoyed.
00:25:31I could see your face.
00:25:33I feel as if you're going to do a samba, this is exactly the samba.
00:25:37You want to choose Musicals Week and throw everything at it.
00:25:41Have a thousand people, have streamers, have stuff going off all over the place.
00:25:46You missed his hand on the spin, but you spun anyway.
00:25:50I got that. I'm balanced.
00:25:51It turns out I don't need you, I'll keep spinning.
00:25:54I'm fine.
00:25:55I've realised now you're sort of in the way.
00:25:57I'm just going to spin.
00:25:59Don't touch me.
00:26:00Don't touch me.
00:26:01It's great.
00:26:02I'm all right, thank you very much.
00:26:03You did a thing at the end here as well, and you were on the same foot.
00:26:07Now, I'm sure that you're supposed to be on opposite feet, but I sort of didn't mind,
00:26:11because it went so well.
00:26:13Beautifully timed.
00:26:14I mean, your execution is, as it always is, it's absolutely bang on.
00:26:19Your energy is off the charts, but it's all placed in the right place.
00:26:23I just loved, loved, loved it.
00:26:30Great.
00:26:31Well, I'll start with the positive.
00:26:32I think that will relieve everyone of their winter blues, darling.
00:26:35Number one, the bounce was fantastic.
00:26:38Your spinning is out of this world.
00:26:41For me, it was a little bit frenetic and too busy,
00:26:44and I felt like you were trying to keep up with it.
00:26:46You're also a little bit stiff in the body, just through the midsection.
00:26:53But what a fantastic dance.
00:26:58Not good.
00:26:59I mean, if we are going to speak about your wonderful spins,
00:27:04then I'm just going to add one spin here.
00:27:06It was absolutely sensational.
00:27:08You went into a spin into prominent runs.
00:27:11That is so difficult, and you pulled it off like,
00:27:15Neil, you get a partner next year, and I'll be careful which numbers I'll be pulling.
00:27:20You really attacked that dance because the conviction of you doing every single rhythm in there,
00:27:34there were multiple different rhythm changes that were really, really difficult.
00:27:38Your solo spots were so, so strong.
00:27:41I would have left a little bit more of the hips moving, but you were convincing.
00:27:48Thank you so much.
00:27:50Great comments.
00:27:51Shirley said it.
00:27:52You are a force to be reckoned with.
00:27:54Thank you so much.
00:27:56I know you want to be in the semi-final.
00:27:57Really good luck with your scores.
00:27:58Thank you so much.
00:28:01Thank you very much.
00:28:09I love you.
00:28:11I love you, Kaz.
00:28:14You were really worried about the samba, weren't you?
00:28:16Yeah, I mean, I haven't got the hips, but I was trying to shake what my mama gave me,
00:28:21but I literally, my aim was, it might not be my strongest, but I gave everything.
00:28:27I literally attacked it.
00:28:28You did.
00:28:29You did.
00:28:30I was never having a regret on anything.
00:28:31I went for it, so I'm happy with that.
00:28:33Yeah, good girl.
00:28:34It was an exhausting routine.
00:28:37Am I wrong?
00:28:38Yeah, this one, I was pretty gassed at the end, and I have to really, really push, dig deep,
00:28:43and he's really challenged me, and that was pretty hard aerobically for me, but, like
00:28:48I said, I'd give it everything.
00:28:49Yeah, you really did.
00:28:51Carlos, it was so much more than just the steps this week, wasn't it?
00:28:54Oh, 100%.
00:28:55It was not only the dance itself, it's the character, it's the costume, it's the
00:29:00everything that music's about, and she, she really absolutely gave it everything.
00:29:05Like, the way she looked at me, I was like, Kat, just look at me, having fun.
00:29:08Come on, Kat, back to Kat, back to Kat.
00:29:10I was like, give me everything, and she did.
00:29:12Okay.
00:29:13You have no idea how crying.
00:29:14Almost prefer it when you cry.
00:29:16I'm joking.
00:29:17We have a video from a huge fan of yours.
00:29:21Have a look.
00:29:23Oh, my gosh.
00:29:24Kaz Karni.
00:29:25I don't know what to say.
00:29:26Mild-mannered Kaz Karni turns into dancer extraordinaire, one of the
00:29:29best dancers I've ever seen on that show.
00:29:32Yes.
00:29:33Just want to wish you all the best of luck.
00:29:35Everybody's so proud of you.
00:29:36Yes, right.
00:29:37We are so proud of you.
00:29:38Where did these moves come from, Kaz?
00:29:40I love it.
00:29:43He is an absolute legend.
00:29:46Good luck to both of you.
00:29:48Scores are in.
00:29:50Will the judges please reveal their scores?
00:29:52Come on.
00:29:53Craig Revelhall.

00:29:58Eight.
00:29:59One.
00:30:00Shirley Ballas.
00:30:01Nine.
00:30:05Anton Dubin.
00:30:06Nine.
00:30:07If you love Kaz and Carlos tonight, then you can show your support for them later.
00:30:15Voting will open at the end of the show.
00:30:18Still to come, Amber and Nikita request.
00:30:20We all, we should do it now.
00:30:21Quite tricky in this dress.
00:30:22Oh, sit down.
00:30:23Please sit down.
00:30:24Please.
00:30:25Anyone.
00:30:26Sit down.
00:30:28This is comfy.
00:30:29It's not tests.
00:30:30Next tonight, we are heading to a grand theatre for a performance inspired by the greatest
00:30:35showman.
00:30:36Now, I hope everyone's going to behave themselves because there's nothing worse at the theatre
00:30:40than some unruly audience members.
00:30:41Marty, darling.
00:30:42Making a scene.
00:30:43Stop.
00:30:44Marty, come on.
00:30:45Come on.
00:30:46Come on.
00:30:47Come on.
00:30:48Come on.
00:30:49Come on.
00:30:50Sorry.
00:30:51Come on.
00:30:52See what I mean?
00:30:53No, sorry.
00:30:54Keep going.
00:30:55Tess, which means the loo.
00:30:56That way.
00:30:57Go.
00:30:58Excellent.
00:31:01With a Viennese waltz, it's Val Vendor and Julian on the stage.
00:31:08It's musicals week.
00:31:10Val and I have won five dance-offs to get here.
00:31:13Making it to the quarter-finals is a bonus upon a bonus, a bonus, a bonus, a bonus.
00:31:18It's extraordinary.
00:31:19I don't feel like the woman that I used to be.
00:31:22So we are doing a song from The Greatest Showman.
00:31:26Never enough.
00:31:27I, of course, will be Hugh Jackman.
00:31:30My mum always said that I look like Hugh Jackman.
00:31:32Maybe he'll see this and, like, he'll be like, that's the new me.
00:31:35And I could be his understudy.
00:31:36Yeah, maybe, Jules.
00:31:38I wanna raise it up.
00:31:40I'm challenging Val in terms of the rotation of the steps.
00:31:43One, two, stop!
00:31:45I'm not quite getting the natural and pivot combination that travels us around the room.
00:31:52It's just kind of repeating that motion and then not kind of getting tangled within your feet.
00:31:58The Greatest Showman is a wonderful musical and I wanna get it right.
00:32:02Now, in order to take our routine to the next level, we are at Come Alive, The Greatest Showroom.
00:32:11Hello, Val, Vinda and Julian.
00:32:13Welcome to the circus.
00:32:17How's everything going?
00:32:18Yeah, we're kind of cracking it and it's fun.
00:32:21How do you want your audience to feel when they've watched it?
00:32:24I think that this is a number for us to come out and show that, like, you know, we're here, we're proud to be here.
00:32:30And truthfully, it's been a dream to do the show for 21 years.
00:32:33I can't wait to see it.
00:32:36You wanna do the switch?
00:32:37Yes.
00:32:38Please, can we do it?
00:32:39You can have the whole thing.
00:32:40Strictly really is the place where dreams are made.
00:32:42Yeah, exactly.
00:32:43Why do you believe in?
00:32:46The song Never Enough, I think, is really poignant for our journey.
00:32:49I want the audience to come on this journey with us and for them to realise that we are enough.
00:33:02Dancing the Viennese Waltz, Valvinda Sopal and Julian Cahill.
00:33:13I'm trying to hold my breath, let it stay this way, can't let this moment end.
00:33:36All the shining of thousands red lights.
00:33:40All the stars we sail from the sky will never be enough.
00:33:48Never be enough.
00:33:52Thousands of gold are still to me.
00:33:56These hands could hold the world, but it'll never be enough.
00:34:04Me will never be enough for me.
00:34:10Never, never.
00:34:17Never, never.
00:34:20For me.
00:34:23For me.
00:34:25For me.
00:34:26For me.
00:34:28Never enough.
00:34:32Never enough.
00:34:34Never, never, never enough.
00:34:40For me.
00:34:42For me.
00:34:44For me.
00:34:53For me.
00:34:56For me.
00:35:13This is for your stage.
00:35:15This is for you.
00:35:24I'm so proud of you. You deserve that.
00:35:28Oh, well, Linda. Hello.
00:35:31I can see you're quite emotional.
00:35:34That was so beautiful. You deserve that.
00:35:37You do deserve that. I love your storytelling.
00:35:40Thank you. You move me every time. Thank you.
00:35:43What do you think, our greatest showman, Anton?
00:35:46I think I love you now. Well, more than ever now.
00:35:52I have to tell you this.
00:35:56Firstly, congratulations, because this was epic.
00:36:00This was an epic performance.
00:36:03When you're going into the theatre,
00:36:07or you're walking onto stage doing a musical,
00:36:09you want to make an entrance. Making an entrance is everything.
00:36:13And as you walked on, you looked absolutely stunning.
00:36:17You walked on, and you held your position there,
00:36:20and you started the number.
00:36:22And the whole room just went straight into you.
00:36:25You brought everybody in. It was an exquisite beginning.
00:36:29This is a huge song. Sung beautifully, by the way.
00:36:33Yeah, it was an exquisite.
00:36:34This is a huge song.
00:36:36And I would have been enormously disappointed
00:36:39if you'd crept round the floor and wasted this song,
00:36:43and you didn't.
00:36:44You bombed round the floor.
00:36:46You swept across the floor.
00:36:48You had enormous shift.
00:36:50You danced with a freedom that I've only seen in your instant dance performance.
00:36:57You were magnificent. I absolutely am.
00:37:01Thank you, Anton. Thank you.
00:37:03Thank you. Thank you.
00:37:07I had a problem with your arms.
00:37:09They need to extend from the body, not just the shoulder.
00:37:13You have a tendency on the right arm to do it beautifully,
00:37:17but the left arm seems to be left behind.
00:37:19I don't know why.
00:37:21Your left shoulder sometimes was raising up.
00:37:24Only twice or three times that happened.
00:37:26I'm being really particular because we're, you know,
00:37:29we're getting on in the competition here.
00:37:31You're still a little bit turned in on occasion.
00:37:33I can see that you've corrected it.
00:37:35On the final lift where the one toe should remain on the floor at all times,
00:37:40which is absolutely correct, you were just a little bit sickled.
00:37:43If you had have just turned that out.
00:37:45Sorry. I'm so sorry.
00:37:47No, but when you're in a ball gown, darling,
00:37:49the only thing we can see is your ankle and your foot.
00:37:52So it's really important what the feet and the hands are doing, that's all.
00:37:55But it had flow.
00:37:56It had feeling.
00:37:57It had emotion.
00:37:58You are a fighter.
00:38:00You're right, Martin.
00:38:04Well, Linda, honestly, we were just holding hands with Shirley throughout that dance.
00:38:10Really, from the very minute you started and your dance partner,
00:38:14his name is Julian, came over.
00:38:17Just reminding my perimenopause brain, you know.
00:38:21I have to get going.
00:38:24So when he came in and you went completely soft and you went completely upset,
00:38:29you were so sensitive to each other, you were in a different type of feeling.
00:38:36And I felt like whatever you wanted to say for the last weeks came out through that dance.
00:38:43It must be really demoralizing what you have been through in this competition.
00:38:51But at the same time, for me, oh, now I have to go with that.
00:38:56You're so emotional.
00:38:57I'm gonna give her a laugh.
00:38:58My darling.
00:38:59Come on, Moxie.
00:39:00Come on, Moxie.
00:39:01Come on, Moxie.
00:39:02Come on, Moxie.
00:39:03Come on, Moxie.
00:39:04Come on, Moxie.
00:39:05Come on.
00:39:06I'm sorry.
00:39:07I'm so proud of you.
00:39:08You did amazing.
00:39:09You're so amazing.
00:39:10I'm so proud of you.
00:39:11I'm so proud of you.
00:39:12I'm so proud of you.
00:39:13I'm so proud of you.
00:39:14And you did on your own.
00:39:15Of course.
00:39:16See?
00:39:17OK.
00:39:18I'm really proud of you.
00:39:19We all are.
00:39:20Uh, Shirley.
00:39:21You all right, my darling?
00:39:22Well, first of all, I just want to say that you are always so put together.
00:39:26And for me, long after this competition, you will always be a hero for me.
00:39:30Because, again, like she said, going through what you go through and coming back to dance,
00:39:36that kind of performance, I had chills.
00:39:38Anton and I and Moxie, we were just...
00:39:40It was sensitivity, grace, charm, beauty, determination, sensitivity of finish,
00:39:47particularly in all the areas where you're connected.
00:39:50I didn't see the left hand.
00:39:51I saw the right.
00:39:52I saw the left.
00:39:53I saw the feeling.
00:39:54I saw the touch.
00:39:55I just loved it.
00:39:56You were great.
00:39:57Well done.
00:40:00Thank you, Danielle.
00:40:01Just calling.
00:40:03You know what, my lovely?
00:40:04Yeah.
00:40:05I'm good.
00:40:06You deserve all of those comments.
00:40:08Yes.
00:40:09I know how hard you've worked.
00:40:10Really, really good look at the scores.
00:40:12Love you to bits.
00:40:14Well done, guys.
00:40:18Yes.
00:40:19I wanted to come down and cuddle you.
00:40:20It's a lot, right?
00:40:21It's a lot.
00:40:22Yes.
00:40:23And then Moxie got out and cuddled you.
00:40:25I know.
00:40:26But you never complain.
00:40:27You get back in there.
00:40:28You're also doing a full-time job and you work so incredibly hard.
00:40:29How did you find that?
00:40:30That was extraordinary and I have waited all competition for that feeling.
00:40:31And I'm so grateful.
00:40:32I'm actually really grateful for what I've heard tonight and it's just, it's blown my heart.
00:40:35It's gorgeous.
00:40:36Thank you, you're amazing.
00:40:37Jules, it was really important for you to, for Bao to lie.
00:40:38I know.
00:40:39You're so grateful.
00:40:40I know.
00:40:41I'm so grateful for that.
00:40:42I'm so grateful for that.
00:40:43I know.
00:40:44I know.
00:40:45You're so grateful for that.
00:40:46I know.
00:40:47I know.
00:40:48But you never complain, you get back in there.
00:40:49You're also doing a full-time job and you work so incredibly hard.
00:40:50How did you find that?
00:40:51That was extraordinary and I have waited all competition for that feeling.
00:40:55And I'm so grateful.
00:40:56I'm actually really grateful for what I've heard tonight and it's just, it's blown my heart.
00:41:00It's gorgeous.
00:41:01Thank you, you're amazing.
00:41:03Jules, it was really important for you to, for Bao to love this and to do justice to that song.
00:41:09Yeah, I mean, what, you're, boss words, you are such an incredible woman and I just, when I was putting the piece together, I wanted her to finish on her own.
00:41:18Just because, we're always together and we always speak about, you know, our strength as a partnership, but I wanted her to, sorry, I wanted her to finish, stood there and saying,
00:41:28I am Balvin de Sopal.
00:41:29I am proud of my journey.
00:41:31I deserve to be here and I am, and you are more than enough.
00:41:34You're going to get us all going.
00:41:37You are.
00:41:38I believe that.
00:41:39You are.
00:41:40You are.
00:41:41You are.
00:41:42You're extraordinary.
00:41:43And if you're feeling emotional now, I have to mention your nieces, Florence and Amelia.
00:41:48Yeah.
00:41:49They love you, they love The Greatest Showman.
00:41:51They've sent you a message.

00:42:33I have to stop now.
00:42:34It's going to be Tuesday.
00:42:35To help Alvinder and Jules get through to the semi-final, please vote for them.
00:42:46You can do that later on tonight when voting opens.
00:42:49Still to come, Lewis and Katia close the show with a West Side Story salsa.
00:42:55Quite tricky to say.
00:42:56It was your birthday this week.
00:42:58George, where are you?
00:42:59Hello.
00:43:00It was your birthday this week.
00:43:01Come forward.
00:43:02We would like to say happy birthday.
00:43:03There we go.
00:43:07Yes.

00:43:20Neil.
00:43:21Oh, no.
00:43:22Yay!
00:43:23That's all we wanted.
00:43:25Yay!
00:43:26Eat it.
00:43:27Apologies to wardrobe.
00:43:28Test.
00:43:29We all love a theme week on Strictly, but nobody has been more excited about tonight than our next star.
00:43:42She is a massive musical theatre fan and her love of musicals is something that very much runs in the family.
00:43:47It is Amber and Nikita.
00:43:55Last weekend was unbelievable.
00:44:01I'm in the policy club.
00:44:04I'm going to put that on my bio on Instagram.
00:44:07I'm incredibly proud of Amber.
00:44:09We love it.
00:44:10I'm doing a Charleston.
00:44:13Yeah.
00:44:14I'm doing a swivel.
00:44:15I am so happy that I've made it to musicals week.
00:44:17Life's a musical.
00:44:18I live, eat and breathe musicals.
00:44:20They're the best thing since sliced bread.
00:44:24In this Charleston, we have to hit the same precise lines that are very, very fast.
00:44:29Up, up and up.
00:44:30I'm struggling with this bottom swivel.
00:44:31A swivel is a little bit like this.
00:44:35And, you know, it has to be so clean.
00:44:38It's a hard routine, but I think Amber's love for musicals is giving us a lot of great energy.
00:44:44Where is your love for musical theatre that came from?
00:44:48It was my older sister.
00:44:51I had to call her.
00:44:53Hi!
00:44:54Hi, girl!
00:44:55Are you okay?
00:44:56Jade's in Shanghai at the minute on tour with Les Mis.
00:45:03Oh, that's incredible.
00:45:04So, how is the Charleston going?
00:45:06I do love it.
00:45:07Just keep doing what you're doing.
00:45:09You know, this is your forte.
00:45:11You know how to embody a character.
00:45:14There's no explanation to how proud I am.
00:45:17So...
00:45:18Aww.
00:45:19I owe every thanks and gratitude to my older sister because it was you that brought this world into our household.
00:45:28I want to wish you all the love and luck in the world for this weekend.
00:45:33After speaking to my sister, I am so ready to go out there.
00:45:37I am going to give it my all.
00:45:39Dancing the Charleston, Amber Davis, and Nikita Kutzen.
00:45:51I dreamed last night I got on the boat to heaven
00:45:56And by some chance I had brought my dice along
00:46:00And there I stood
00:46:03And I hollered, someone save me
00:46:06But the passengers, they knew right from wrong
00:46:12For the people all said,
00:46:14Sit down, sit down, you're rocking the boat
00:46:17The people all said,
00:46:18Sit down, sit down, you're rocking the boat
00:46:21As the devil will drag you under
00:46:23Fight the sharpe of the pound of your checkered coat
00:46:25Sit down, sit down, sit down, sit down
00:46:27Sit down, you're rocking the boat
00:46:29Sit down, you're rocking the boat
00:46:32Sit down you rockin' the boat
00:46:34Sit down you ring at the bone
00:46:36Sit down you rockin' the boat
00:46:38Sit down doo-doo-doo
00:46:40Sit down doo-doo-doo
00:46:44Sit down doo-doo-doo
00:46:48I say that shot a baby
00:46:48But I'm going to eat bop, bop, bop, bop!
00:47:18I'm going to eat bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop!
00:47:48I'm going to eat bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop!

00:48:56Come in!
00:48:57Shirley!
00:48:58Well, of course, destined for the West End with a number like that.
00:49:01It reminded me a bit of the Insta-dance.
00:49:03Absolute chaos!
00:49:04The backing dancers, I want to congratulate them!
00:49:06Yes!
00:49:07Yes!

00:49:24Thank you so much!
00:49:25Thank you so much!
00:49:26Anton!
00:49:27Well...
00:49:28There's nothing left to say!
00:49:29I mean, it's...
00:49:31You did the group dance earlier at the beginning of the night
00:49:35and I watched it from the side and I thought to myself,
00:49:38Wow!
00:49:39You said...
00:49:40This is a bit...
00:49:41Brilliant!
00:49:42And I thought, well, that's...
00:49:43That's about as good as it's going to get tonight.
00:49:44That was absolutely astonishingly good.
00:49:46But it turns out, no, you were saving yourself for later.
00:49:49This was so brilliant!
00:49:51I don't think I've seen anything like this.
00:49:53I mean, we say this a lot over the years.
00:49:54Oh, well, I've never seen a dance better.
00:49:55I would be...
00:49:56It was very difficult to find a dance better than this.
00:49:59Yes!
00:50:00Ever!
00:50:01In the history of Strictly Come Roundup!
00:50:02Wow!

00:50:06Brilliant!
00:50:07My...
00:50:08My only disappointment about the whole thing is I can't give you 25.

00:50:13Brilliant!
00:50:14Well done!
00:50:15Thank you!

00:50:38Woo!
00:50:39Can you get over those comments?
00:50:41I mean, Anton said he has never, ever in his life seen a dance better.
00:50:45I can't believe that.
00:50:46I was very confused, not gonna lie.
00:50:48He thought Craig hated it!
00:50:50Well, no.
00:50:51Because he started off with too clean and you were like...
00:50:53And I was like too clean!
00:50:54No!
00:50:55I messed it up!
00:50:56I thought it was better if it's clean.
00:50:57How was it having your two worlds collide?
00:51:03Do you know what?
00:51:04This week has been madness for me.
00:51:07And today especially, watching my incredible contestants,
00:51:11fellow contestants, get into their roles and transforming.
00:51:16I felt like every single time I look at them, I could well up.
00:51:19It's just the most amazing feeling.
00:51:21I have converted George.
00:51:23George, have you not been Oliver for the past four days?
00:51:26Maybe.
00:51:28Clever you.
00:51:30This is your favourite theme week, Nikita.
00:51:31Oh, close by a mile.
00:51:33I love Musicals Week.
00:51:34I think Musicals Week is what it's actually strictly about.
00:51:37You know, we're dancing, we're singing, we're a bit cheesy.
00:51:40We are so happy.
00:51:41I just, I think the atmosphere of Musicals Week is just extraordinary.
00:51:44And the extra dancers, we love them.
00:51:47I know, the extra dancers were...
00:51:48I bet they threw you up in the air.
00:51:50I cannot do that.
00:51:51He had to look away when they threw me up for the first time.
00:51:54But to have extra energy on the floor...
00:51:58Yeah, extra everything, yeah.
00:51:59It's a feeling I can't explain.
00:52:02It's like, it's like oomph.
00:52:03Yeah.
00:52:04Do you know what I mean?
00:52:04Oomph.
00:52:05We love oomph.
00:52:06We love oomph.

00:53:11Congratulations, Tess.
00:53:13Oh, I love a 40.
00:53:15Our final star is taking on one of the biggest musicals of all time, West Side Story.
00:53:21It has themes of rivalry, passion and revenge.
00:53:25And he's hoping to channel all of that with tonight's performance.
00:53:28Guys, that's actually quite distracting.
00:53:31Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.
00:53:33Sorry, darling.
00:53:34With the salsa, it's Lewis and Katya.
00:53:37What are you like?
00:53:43For our musical, we are doing West Side Story.
00:53:48Iconic.
00:53:49Isn't it the one about the yellow brick road?
00:53:51No, so it's the sharks and the jets trying to figure out how they're going to live together, basically.
00:53:58On the streets of New York City, the dance at the gym is where you try to sort the conflict for dance.
00:54:07I love how choreography is created, like to show that challenging each other's side.
00:54:11Yeah.
00:54:11That's us in purple, Anita and Bernardo.
00:54:16He's got rhythm.
00:54:17He's really showcasing it there.
00:54:20Can I play a different character then?
00:54:22They are claiming their territory.
00:54:24Let's try and claim our place in the semi-final, shall we?
00:54:28One, two, salsa.
00:54:31Now, our salsa is an action-packed routine.
00:54:38It is very quick.
00:54:39You know, there's a lot of different tempo changes and energy changes within the dance,
00:54:43so I need to get my head around all of that.
00:54:45Don't rush seven, eight.
00:54:48My hips, man.
00:54:49Need a bit of lard.
00:54:51Craig said last week.
00:54:53The hips, I thought, lacked a little bit of fluidity.
00:54:55That is something I'm going to try and take on board and put into this dance.
00:54:59Oh, wait.
00:55:00That big?
00:55:01Yeah.
00:55:04Bernardo is the leader of the Sharks.
00:55:06He has to be assertive.
00:55:08And this dance has to get me through to the semi-final.
00:55:12So I'm going to give it my absolute hug.
00:55:14Shake it, suck it, suck it, suck it, suck it.
00:55:16Yeah!
00:55:19Me head nearly fell off.
00:55:20Dancing with the Salsa.
00:55:26Lewis Cope and Katya Jones.
00:55:28Oye, Javi, ponle fuego.
00:55:32Vamos!
00:55:33Go!
00:55:42Go!
00:55:43Go!
00:55:44Go, go!
00:55:44Go, go!
00:55:45Go, go, go!
00:55:52Go!
00:55:55Mambo!
00:56:25Mambo!
00:56:55Mambo!
00:57:17Mambo!
00:57:19Thank you!
00:57:21Thank you!
00:57:23You're so humble!
00:57:25It's scary, scary!
00:57:27Woo!
00:57:29Oh my goodness!
00:57:31He threw everything into that!
00:57:33Thank you!
00:57:35Thank you!
00:57:37He's so humble!
00:57:39It's scary, scary!
00:57:41Oh my goodness!
00:57:43He threw everything into that!
00:57:45Thank you!
00:57:47He's so humble!
00:57:49The effort you put into every routine,
00:57:51it's just something to behold!
00:57:53Something magical happens!
00:57:55What do you think of that soul, Samotsi?
00:57:57Wow! Wow!
00:57:59I think actually it's the first time I see you after a dance,
00:58:01actually breathing.
00:58:03You always thought about the dance,
00:58:05and you're just like so chilled,
00:58:07but this time, this is really, you pushed it physically.
00:58:09There was so much content in this dance,
00:58:11and I was really trying to follow you.
00:58:13Where is he? Where is he?
00:58:15A star within the dance.
00:58:17That is something absolutely sensational,
00:58:19with so many great dancers next to you.
00:58:21You did a great job!
00:58:23Thank you!
00:58:25Shirley!
00:58:27I kind of agree in certain places that it was okay,
00:58:31but it wasn't your best dance for me, by far.
00:58:33That's okay!
00:58:35Please let me explain.
00:58:37It was where you were running,
00:58:39and you couldn't quite get where you were going.
00:58:41There was missed connections on all these hustle things.
00:58:43I know them very well.
00:58:45You looked a little bit tight,
00:58:47and as you said at the end,
00:58:49you're breathing while you're facing,
00:58:51but while you were dancing,
00:58:53it really needed to exhale and go.
00:58:55But was the dance fantastic? Yes.
00:58:57There was a lot to like. Thank you.
00:59:01And Tom?
00:59:03You have this incredible physicality as a dancer.
00:59:07You come out, and it's all sort of going,
00:59:09and it's all sparkly,
00:59:11and masculine,
00:59:13and ooh, touch me now,
00:59:15and ooh, I'm a little bit sweaty,
00:59:17and I quite like it.
00:59:19It was perfect for this dance,
00:59:20and it was perfect.
00:59:21The characterisation was amazing.
00:59:22Come down there.
00:59:23Wham!
00:59:24And you give it all that.
00:59:25Come on, girl.
00:59:26And all of that.
00:59:27And it was...
00:59:28So the side-by-side stuff,
00:59:29the musical theatre stuff,
00:59:30was strong.
00:59:31Ooh!
00:59:32And ooh!
00:59:33Nice.
00:59:34The partnering stuff wasn't...
00:59:36It needed to be a bit more subtle.
00:59:38Needed a bit more nuance,
00:59:39and that suffered because of it.
00:59:41But all in all, I mean...
00:59:44I mean, yes.
00:59:45I'd rather liked it, I have to say.
00:59:48Well done.
00:59:49Lewis, I know you've been working on those hips
00:59:53for a certain someone.
00:59:54Yes.
00:59:55Uh, well, the basic salsa,
00:59:57I thought, was just a little bit square.
00:59:59I can see that you've worked on your hips,
01:00:01but there wasn't any type of figure-eight rotation in there,
01:00:04which softens it off and makes it melty, you know.
01:00:08Um, the footwork was slightly turned in at times as well,
01:00:12which doesn't help it.
01:00:14Uh...
01:00:15Things weren't finished in this.
01:00:17Yeah.
01:00:18Bizarrely, like the double arm wrap.
01:00:20You didn't come to a complete end on it.
01:00:22I didn't know where the picture was meant to be.
01:00:24And I'm sort of on the side of Shelley.
01:00:27I don't think it actually is your best dance.
01:00:29We have seen you dance better.
01:00:31I mean, I love your energy.
01:00:32The turns in second, I mean, hello, are incredible.
01:00:35I mean, there's not many people can do that.
01:00:38You have a tag, power, darling, and a lot of punch.
01:00:41So, congratulations.
01:00:44Well, we know that you always listen to what the judges say.
01:00:46You always take it on board.
01:00:48And we know you want to be in the semi-final.
01:00:50So, good luck with those scores, Lewis.
01:00:52We loved it.
01:00:54Well done, Lewis.
01:00:55You loved this dance, didn't you?
01:00:56I didn't tell them comments.
01:00:57No, no, no.
01:00:58I'm only joking.
01:00:59Yeah, I did.
01:01:00I thought it was really fun.
01:01:01I was enjoying the sort of playfulness and trying to recreate the scenes from the film.
01:01:17Yeah, I really enjoyed it, yeah.
01:01:19I know you're incredibly grateful for the extra dancers as well, aren't you?
01:01:23Yeah.
01:01:24You're so lovely.
01:01:25And you just enjoy being out there, a whole gang of you.
01:01:27I love just being there with a big groove.
01:01:29It's like being at home with me brothers, I think.
01:01:31Yeah.
01:01:32You know, that sort of energy that they bring, it just lifts me to, like, a new level.
01:01:36So, yeah, I couldn't have done it without them.
01:01:37Thank you, though.
01:01:38Yeah.
01:01:39Tell me your motto of the week, is it?
01:01:41And also, is it your motto for life?
01:01:42I mean, it's motto for life.
01:01:44More is more.
01:01:45Everybody knows.
01:01:46I've just been looking for a partner who can match me.
01:01:48Yeah.
01:01:49And finally, a fun one.
01:01:50Yeah.
01:01:51All my life I've been told, less, Cassie, less.
01:01:53Never.
01:01:54More is more.
01:01:55There it is.
01:01:56There it is.
01:01:57We have a very special video for you.

01:02:22That's good.
01:02:23Motsi Mabuse.
01:02:24Nine.
01:02:25Yay.
01:02:27Shirley Ballard.
01:02:28Nine.
01:02:29Yes.
01:02:36To show Lewis and Katya you love yourself so please support them.
01:02:39You can do that at the end of the show after an exclusive performance from a brand new musical.
01:02:46All our couples have now performed so let's have a look at the leaderboard.
01:02:51Amber and Nikita are in first place with 40.
01:02:54Then we have three joint second places.

01:03:09But before you do we have one final performance tonight with a song from Paddington the Musical.
01:03:15Please welcome Tom Fletcher and a very special guest.
01:03:18And a special guest.
01:03:35So close I can almost hear him calling out my name.
01:03:41So close pretty soon my life won't ever be the same.
01:03:45Nobody guessed that an explorer and a bear could be the perfect pair.
01:03:57So close I can almost see him open up the door.
01:04:01And this hat tells him I'm the one that he's been waiting for.
01:04:06And he'll share all his stories until his throat is hoarse.
01:04:15So I'll make him a sandwich.
01:04:19Marmalade of course.
01:04:20He'll show me things I've never seen.
01:04:24Well I've never been.
01:04:27There's no greater team out there.
01:04:32And when the two of us combine.
01:04:36All the stars will shine.
01:04:37All the stars will shine.
01:04:39You won't ever find a pair.
01:04:42That compares to the explorer and the bear.
01:04:48I don't know where he's hiding.
01:04:49But I know that I'll find him.
01:04:50And then we'll be just like a family.
01:05:04You say let's stay together.
01:05:06All day.
01:05:07Always.
01:05:08Whatever the weather.
01:05:10This way forever and ever.
