00:29Welcome to I'm a Celebrity Unpacked, coming to you live from the Australian jungle.
00:38Selling for an hour of deep diving camp discussion.
00:40Today we saw the treehouse insurrected.
00:43We learned Ginges likes his music tailor-made.
00:46And the Trial Boys did what they normally do in the library.
00:49Tom browsed for books while Martin looked at all the pictures.
00:52Here's what's coming up on today's show.
00:54The legendary Ruby Wax is on the sofa to give us her take on her jungle experience.
00:58Live from the UK is former winner Giovanna Fletcher.
01:01And I'll be catching up with Martin minutes after he left the camp.
01:04But first, we've been to the library and found a lord of the McFlies.
01:08It's Danny Jones.
01:12Here he is.
01:15Yes mate, come on.
01:17Hello.
01:17He's back.
01:19He's back.
01:20He's back.
01:21Welcome back to the show, Danny.
01:23How are you feeling today?
01:23You alright?
01:24Feeling great today.
01:25Yeah?
01:25Rested.
01:26Oh, rested that way.
01:27Well, I cannot wait to see that energy on our panel.
01:30Lovely stuff.
01:31So seven becomes six.
01:33Seven becomes...
01:33Martin's gone.
01:35Yes.
01:35Did you expect it?
01:36I'm disappointed.
01:37Oh, really?
01:39I feel like he was getting a bit more space to kind of be himself.
01:43And he had so much fun in the trial.
01:45Well, as people clear out and get voted off, you get this, like, time to yourself.
01:51Yeah.
01:51You know, he was very reserved and, you know, he's a wise guy who didn't really need to make a lot of noise.
01:58And I think now was the time he was starting to make a little bit of noise when we were getting to see him.
02:03When there was less people in there, we were starting to see a bit more of it.
02:06At least he got a great episode today.
02:08Like, it would have been a real shame if he went before doing that trial.
02:12It was so fun.
02:14Yeah.
02:14We were laughing so much when we watched it this morning.
02:16It was so good.
02:17And I don't think I am eating my own words.
02:20Because in the last few days when I've been predicting, I have kind of predicted Martin just because he has been that kind of quieter person in camp.
02:25But I do agree, like, actually, we gave him the space, or, like, they gave him the space.
02:29Yeah.
02:29And now he got to do something fun.
02:31But also, I think he's happy.
02:32Like, that embraces Shirley on the end of the bridge.
02:35That was lovely.
02:35My goodness.
02:36Like, he loves his family so much that he's going to be absolutely fine having a few cocktails tonight.
02:40Like, I actually don't feel bad.
02:42Whereas yesterday I felt really bad for Ruby because I think she just wanted to go straight back in there.
02:46Yeah.
02:46You know?
02:47It was just nice to see him today have fun in that trial.
02:50So far.
02:50Yes.
02:51You know, and to see a bit more of him, I just wanted to see more of him.
02:53I felt like he was on a bit of an uphill trajectory.
02:56Yeah.
02:57Yeah, I agree.
02:57How do you think it's going to affect camp, him leaving?
03:00Well, it might.
03:02I think he was the dad of the group, right?
03:04Yeah.
03:04And, you know, having, you know, lads of similar age to Roman and he feels like he was having a bit more fun in there.
03:11You know, I think anybody who leaves really affects the camp.
03:14Who do you think is going to miss Martin the most, though?
03:16Well, I think all of them to a degree because I think he was such a calming presence in there.
03:22Yeah, he was.
03:22And I think with him going, it was like sort of the human form of meditation.
03:26It just feels like he makes everyone more chilled.
03:29Anyone who's around, he relaxes them all, you know?
03:33And so, you know, we might see them start to sort of get at each other a little bit.
03:37Any conversation you saw him get in on, it always would dispel any tension.
03:42Interesting.
03:42Yes, that's very true.
03:43It's like all the excitement.
03:44I would love to know what Jack thinks about Martin going, but only because I think Jack is quiet and also a chill guy.
03:50It's true.
03:51He's a calming presence.
03:52Now he's lost the other kind of calming presence in camp.
03:54You've got Lisa, H, Ginge, who were just like so much fun.
03:58And then Shona also gets in that fun.
04:00I wonder like, yeah, whether he's going to find it or right.
04:03Yeah, do you know what?
04:03I felt weird when Barry left camp.
04:05You know, I looked up to him.
04:07And I think a lot of these campmates look up to Martin a lot.
04:09You know, like you say, for help or for wise words.
04:14Yeah.
04:14And I think that they'll really notice it.
04:16It's almost like the kids are left to play in there now.
04:19That's what it feels like.
04:20Yeah, the mum and the dad have now gone.
04:21Yeah.
04:22And they're just going to...
04:23Anything could happen.
04:24It's crazy now.
04:25Honestly, I think it's the most unpredictable series of a long time.
04:28What do you guys think?
04:29Because I've been so wrong on my job, like, this whole time.
04:32I've never...
04:33I don't know why they hire me, to be honest, because I've got it wrong every single day.
04:37I'm like, yeah, this person's going wrong.
04:38This person's going wrong.
04:39Yeah, what do you guys think about that?
04:40Oh, not a clue.
04:41I'm lost.
04:42I'm completely lost with it.
04:43Yeah.
04:43You never know what's going to happen.
04:44You don't know who's going to get voted.
04:46And, like, I'm shocked about today.
04:47I really am.
04:48I thought he was really coming into himself there.
04:51Well, Tom lost Ruby yesterday and he's lost Martin today.
04:54He was close with both of those.
04:56Who do you think he's going to sort of gravitate towards now?
04:59Do you think there's anyone in particular?
05:00We've seen him with Shona a little bit, actually.
05:03Yeah.
05:04We've seen him have some deep chats with Shona.
05:05She kind of was, like, talking to him about her breakup.
05:07And we saw a lot of that.
05:08So I wonder if we're going to see a bit more of them.
05:10But I do feel for Tom.
05:11Yeah.
05:11My goodness.
05:12Yeah.
05:12I think maybe Lisa, actually.
05:13Lisa's got, like, that fun factor.
05:16She had such a good episode today, didn't she?
05:18Oh.
05:19It was just joyous.
05:20Just her laughing just made...
05:21It just brings a smile to your face.
05:23Oh, about the bus.
05:24Oh, my God.
05:25Yeah, the building.
05:26That's what I used to do.
05:27Really?
05:28Yeah, just before my last stop, I'd be like, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.
05:31Then get off the bus, yeah.
05:33It's, yeah, I think anyone that Tom attaches himself to, he makes it brilliant, you know?
05:39Yeah.
05:39Yeah.
05:39Like, it's just that, so I'm really excited for him to see who he attaches himself to now.
05:44Like, even if it's H, you know, it's those people, it just brings the most out of every conversation.
05:47That was my favourite trial as well, by the way.
05:49Really?
05:49Absolutely loved it.
05:50The library.
05:50Yeah.
05:51And if you close your eyes, does Tom sound a little bit like Stewie from Family Guy?
05:58Do you know what I mean?
06:00Yes.
06:01If you close your eyes, I want him to be my therapist.
06:04Every week I want to go and see Tom.
06:06I know what you mean.
06:07Stewie's my therapist.
06:08I know what you mean.
06:09That's almost certainly going to be a TikTok tomorrow.
06:13Time now for an unseen clip.
06:14We've had Martin telling stories about David Bowie and Billy Idol for his H dropping a name
06:19that's definitely, maybe, more impressive.
06:21Take a look at this.
06:22I met Noel.
06:24I got invited and I've ended up in Noel's dressing room.
06:28I met Noel and that cool guy.
06:30Yeah.
06:30And Noel's dressing room was a whole separate thing to Liam's.
06:34Yeah.
06:35Do you know what I mean?
06:35But, from what I gathered, it was on good terms from what I gathered.
06:40Do you know what I mean?
06:40At that point.
06:41They were.
06:42And like, even it was just sick to see them both walk to, because obviously at some point
06:46they've got to meet to get on the stage.
06:48Yeah.
06:48And like, the little walk to the stage, we're both next to each other.
06:51It's pretty magical.
06:51You was like, wow, check them two stood next to each other.
06:54Yeah.
06:54Like, what the fuck?
06:55Oh, amazing.
06:56And then after it, good story this, we all got on Noel's tour bus, went with them to a
07:01certain location to get picked up.
07:03It was just mad, we were just there on his tour bus.
07:06It was like, whoa, this is weird.
07:07Superb.
07:07And then his son texted after it, saying, can I hear my dad listening to H upstairs?
07:13Hmm.
07:14So he must have thought, yeah, I'll do my research on it.
07:16Yeah, yeah, yeah.
07:17That's great.
07:18Still not foaming for a feature, though.
07:22He is so Manchester, isn't he?
07:24Mate.
07:24He's more Manchester than Manchester, mate.
07:26Yeah, he's more Manchester than Liam.
07:28I don't even understand how that could happen, right?
07:30It's a great story.
07:32I'm jealous of that story.
07:32Morning, Laurie.
07:33That's a fantastic accent, Joel.
07:35Well done.
07:35I'm sorry.
07:36Coming to a panto near you, I'm sure.
07:38Well, we've heard from Danny, but as he would say, it's all about you.
07:43Details have to get in touch on the screen below.
07:45Get in touch on socials or message us on WhatsApp.
07:47And, as always, we would love to hear those lovely voice notes.
07:50Time for a break now, but when we return, we have an agent of chaos on the sofa.
07:55Ruby Wax is here.
07:57We'll see you in a bit.
07:58I can't wait.
08:08Welcome back to I'm a Celebrity Unpacked.
08:11I am so excited to bring on our next guest,
08:15whether she was gulping down anus, waltzing in the pond,
08:18or raining with terror.
08:20She has utterly entertained us every single day.
08:23Camp's Loss is Unpacked's game.
08:25Please welcome the unforgettable Ruby Wax.
08:28How are you?
08:39Welcome to Ruby.
08:40How are you?
08:41You OK?
08:42Oh, you look beautiful.
08:43Take a seat, Ruby.
08:46It's lovely to see you.
08:47Thank you so much for being on the show.
08:49What a joy.
08:51Oh, you've got your picture of Kiosk Kev there.
08:55We'll talk about Kiosk Kev later on.
08:57I cannot wait to get the feel on your beautiful relationship.
09:02Ruby, how are you?
09:03I'm good.
09:04Well, I'm sad because I miss it.
09:07And I want to go back, which I'm going to do.
09:08I'm going to run in there and just let police stop me.
09:12I'm going in there.
09:14It'll be, I'm a celebrity.
09:15Get me in there.
09:16You're going to sneak back in.
09:18Yeah.
09:18How has the last 24 hours of freedom been?
09:20Not as good.
09:21No?
09:21No.
09:22Not as good.
09:23Yeah.
09:23I really want to go back.
09:24I'm desperate.
09:26These were my people.
09:27Well, what have you been up to?
09:29Have you, like, is it different?
09:30I took a bath.
09:31You know what I mean?
09:32I like the starvation.
09:33Yeah.
09:34I like the dunny.
09:35You like the dunny?
09:36There's a toilet that flushes, for God's sake.
09:38Who flushes a toilet?
09:40Yeah.
09:40Yeah, it's a weird thing that happens, right?
09:43So when you suddenly come out of the jungle and then you're faced with a different toilet
09:47for the first time, it's such a long time.
09:49You touch it.
09:50You know, you want to eat food off of it.
09:52It's so clean, isn't it?
09:53Very clean.
09:53Who ever heard of a clean toilet?
09:55I hope you didn't eat food off it, Ruby.
09:56No, I didn't.
09:57Okay, thank God.
09:58Okay, that's good.
09:58Have I FaceTimed the cats yet?
10:00Because I know we're missing them.
10:00I haven't FaceTimed the cats.
10:02But I will be calling them today.
10:06I'm pretty excited.
10:07Pretty excited.
10:08Honestly, Ruby, you've been an absolute delight to watch in there.
10:11Despite how you treated them as camp leader, your campmates absolutely adored you.
10:16Take a look at this.
10:17Ruby is just amazing.
10:21And we all just love Ruby so much.
10:24She's been like my mum.
10:26My mum who always, always made me laugh.
10:30Always was my shining star.
10:33Always was there for the best cuddles, for the honesty, the tough love.
10:38Everything.
10:39Ruby Wax is all that and she's been that for me in here.
10:43I will never, ever forget my time in here with Ruby Wax.
10:47Ruby's taught me a lot without knowing and I'm thankful for that actually.
10:52And hopefully I get to see Ruby quite a few times after we get out of here.
10:57I think the one campmate that surprised me that getting close to was Ruby Wax.
11:01Because I came in here not knowing anything about her.
11:04I thought maybe being American we might clash our laughs.
11:07But we got on like a house on fire and she is like a second nana.
11:13Wow.
11:15It seemed really getting emotional.
11:17That's so flattering, his second nana.
11:19Yeah.
11:20I thought we were kind of compatriots.
11:23But no, second nana.
11:23His second nana.
11:24I'll take anything.
11:25Sister.
11:26Not the first but the second.
11:27The second.
11:28How does it feel watching that?
11:29Well, heartbroken.
11:32You know, I mean, it's like being pulled out of the womb.
11:35I wanted them to cry more.
11:37I was expecting more out of June.
11:39A little tear.
11:40He could have faked it.
11:41He could have faked it.
11:42You really made, you made such an impact in there.
11:46Like you've seen there.
11:47I mean, it's everyone that you seem to sort of get a real friendship with.
11:50And he was so joyous.
11:52You just created such great friendships.
11:54It was just an absolute joy.
11:55Did you expect to make such good friends?
11:58No, I didn't know.
11:59I had only, the joke was, I said, are we live?
12:03Because I didn't really understand the show.
12:05I thought it was on a set and you'd really feed us and we'd pretend to be starving.
12:09I didn't realise it's the real thing.
12:11Yeah.
12:12That you're giving paper mache.
12:14You know, it's hideous.
12:15Then you adjusted really well then.
12:17I didn't adjust well.
12:18If you didn't think it was like that.
12:19Because you didn't want to come out by the end of it.
12:21No, it's okay.
12:22I would take the starvation of the cockroaches just to be with those people.
12:26That's how good they were.
12:27We saw, everyone talks about Shona's journey.
12:31Right.
12:31But no one's really talking about your journey.
12:34From that first episode when you came in, where you were like, you're standing in my light.
12:37You were like, very much like that sort of vibe.
12:39To someone who's now wanting to go back in there.
12:42Yeah.
12:42You really embraced it.
12:44Yeah, I mean, I wasn't expecting that at all.
12:47I thought it was friction and I'd have to pull people off each other.
12:50So as soon as we had our group meeting, which I don't know if it looked too woo-woo.
12:55It was a little woo-woo.
12:56It seemed pretty woo-woo.
12:57It was a little woo-woo.
12:59Was it?
12:59A little.
13:00But it was great.
13:01But we didn't care.
13:01We didn't care.
13:02We forgot about the cameras.
13:03I ended up shaving Lisa.
13:05Oh my God, that was amazing.
13:07No, I mean, nobody had any inhibitions.
13:10We just, you know.
13:11You lose it in there, don't you?
13:12You don't care if they see your behind.
13:13No?
13:14No, you know, in the beginning I was quite the lady.
13:16And then I just did it.
13:18Yeah.
13:19In the inhibition.
13:21You had such brilliant friendships.
13:22Why do you think you gravitated towards the younger ones in camp particularly?
13:26Because your dynamic with them is probably my favourite part of the camp this year.
13:30I don't know.
13:31I mean, they were just hilarious to me.
13:33And me and, you know, myself and a rapper, you never think that was, you know, and then
13:39suddenly I'm going, drop the mic, bitch.
13:43You know, mega.
13:45Because they're teaching me and I'm teaching them, you know, and then I like to break them
13:49down a little bit.
13:50So they, you know, underneath it they're just really adorable boys.
13:53Yeah.
13:54Not like these tough guys.
13:55Yeah.
13:56So Ginge would kind of open up and his face changes all the time, like he's kind of grotesque
14:01with his dead face.
14:02And then he gets cute with that little boy face.
14:06It depends what he's talking about.
14:07Yeah, I know what you mean.
14:08I know what you mean, yeah.
14:09Yeah, yeah, yeah.
14:10Of course, Tom, you became very close with.
14:12We saw you.
14:13Oh, Tom is my type.
14:14Oh.
14:14On.
14:15It was fantastic.
14:16Yeah.
14:16Because you were in the lake in the mornings, like the little...
14:18We were courting.
14:19It was...
14:20M'lige and m'lady were courting.
14:22It was no protrusions.
14:23It was unprotruded.
14:25But we were in the liquid together and we, I got pregnant, we had a child.
14:29Unfortunately, Mortimer didn't make it.
14:31Oh, God.
14:32Very sad.
14:34That was our child.
14:36I love it.
14:36I breastfed.
14:37It was just touching.
14:39Can you say that?
14:40You can say everything.
14:42You just did.
14:42It's absolutely incredible.
14:44Lisa, you lived with her for quite a while in the treehouse.
14:49You danced with Tom.
14:50You bantered with Ginge.
14:51It feels hard to pick who your deepest connection was with, but I think we've figured it out.
14:56Take a look at this.
14:57Hiya.
14:58Hi.
14:59Hi.
14:59Hi, he's mine.
15:00Yeah.
15:01We saw Kev.
15:03Yeah, he's still grumpy.
15:04Did Kev have a message for Ruby?
15:06Because I've shaved everything.
15:07I know Kev wants me because I'm a Lank team.
15:14Good night, celebrities.
15:15Kev.
15:15It's your boyfriend.
15:16Oh, my God.
15:17Kev.
15:18Kev, hello.
15:20You haven't seen him face to face?
15:21No.
15:22Since Cockroach.
15:23But I know he's been thinking of me.
15:24There's his ice cream.
15:26Where's Kev?
15:27Where's Kev?
15:28I'm blushing.
15:29You're blushing.
15:30Do you find me attractive, Kev?
15:32I still love you.
15:33He will!
15:34Oh, I'm all right.
15:35You got a wink?
15:36You got a wink?
15:36I did.
15:37I did.
15:38Do you like a sort of a hirsute man?
15:39I like that kind of mystery man.
15:43Also Ruby.
15:44I think taciturn men are very good in bed.
15:47I could tell he was good in bed.
15:50Oh, I forgot about my husband.
15:51Sorry.
15:52Yeah.
15:55Wow.
15:56Yeah.
15:56Wow.
15:57What was it about him who got you so hot under the collar, Ruby?
16:00The hairy arms.
16:03Oh, okay.
16:04And then you could see hair going down his chest.
16:06Oh.
16:07Revealed more and more.
16:08And there was something, I don't know, dead face about him.
16:13And I knew I could crack him, too.
16:15Yeah.
16:15And when I did, it would be, whoa, watch out.
16:18Yeah.
16:19Yeah.
16:19Just passion held in.
16:20He barely held it in with that wing, didn't he?
16:24Yeah.
16:24I didn't crack him.
16:26I didn't crack him.
16:26In the end, he threw cockroaches on me and wouldn't let me in the jungle.
16:30That's hard to get, Ruby.
16:31So, I've just had to get.
16:32Yeah, that's his way of flirting.
16:33I finished with Kev.
16:35That's it.
16:35What?
16:36What chance?
16:36I threw the ring back and that's it.
16:39Exclusive.
16:40He's devastated.
16:41He can't believe I've done it.
16:42Did he cause any issues with Ed's?
16:44Oh, he cried.
16:45No, no, he wept as I left him.
16:47Oh.
16:47Yeah.
16:47So, it's okay.
16:49He'll go for somebody else.
16:50Did Ed ever get jealous or was he all right?
16:52Ed, were you jealous?
16:53No.
16:54No.
16:54No.
16:56That was it.
16:59Well, Ruby, I think you will genuinely go down in history as one of the most legendary candidates.
17:04I really think that.
17:05Did you expect to enjoy it that much, I think?
17:08I didn't expect anything.
17:10I mean, the fact that we were, I don't know if it looked woo-woo again, but we were, you
17:14know, we were a family.
17:15It was almost cultish.
17:17Yeah.
17:17That every single person came with a different flavor and so whatever you needed, you plug
17:23into. You know, if somebody was hilarious, then if you wanted no reaction at all, you
17:27got Ginge. Then if you wanted somebody with their trousers down below their underpants
17:32line, you went to H. Then if you wanted somebody, like, calm and soft to anchor you, you went
17:37to Martin. Everybody had something.
17:40Everyone had a role there.
17:41Everybody had a role.
17:42What was your role then?
17:43I was, um, I don't know. Ginge's grandmother, he says, which is upsetting, yeah, because
17:50I thought at least the mother, the grandmother. Imagine how insulting.
17:54You don't look like a grandmother at all. How do you think your whole jungle experience
18:00has changed you?
18:01I think that, um, I realized I could trust people because I'm not used to trusting a
18:07group of people where you catch them and they'd be rolling their eyes or they talk about
18:11you. You know, I think people are duplicitous mostly. And now I could go, oh, people are adorable.
18:17Yeah. You know, I could trust this group. Well, you really get to know people really
18:20quick in there, don't you? Yeah. Because there's no distractions and you're all in the
18:23same boat. So you really look into someone's eyes and you chat and you get to know their
18:28soul. Yeah. Really quick. You look straight in their eye and you don't do that in real
18:32life. Yeah. Tom and I, you know, the eyes were right in there. If you never spoke and just
18:37looked, it would be pretty sensational. It's pretty, it's pretty deep. Except for Ginge.
18:41Dead face. Dead face. Well, finally, Ruby, as the sort of queen of interviewing and quite
18:49an honest critic, um, how has this interview gone? Um, it's gone okay. But, um, I like when
18:58people throw away the script and we just play. Go on then. Throw it away. Yeah. It's gone.
19:05Whoa. Throw that cushion. Free fall. You know what? Free fall. Yes. Let's just throw it
19:11up. And go on. Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. Yay. Free fall. Free fall. Yeah. You didn't
19:21look at me on the screen. Good. Good. Good. Good. Good. Good. Now we're talking. Good. Does anyone
19:27know what's next? Thank you. Give it up for Ruby Wax. But now time to speak to a jungle legend
19:37and it's Danny's band mate in law. You can come back Danny if you want. Thanks mate. Former
19:40queen of the castle for 2020 is Giovanna Fletcher. Nice to be here. Hello Giovanna. So good to
19:48speak to you. How are you? You alright? I'm really, really good. I mean, it's a bit, I'm just
19:52sad I'm not on that sofa right now because it looks like absolute chaos. It's chaos. We're
19:56having a good time. I'll be honest, I haven't got any questions for you because I've thrown
19:59away my script. But before we chat about this series, let's have a look at your jungle highlights
20:03from 2020. Oh my god, it's so hard. Alright, sweetheart. The new leader of the camp is G. I am Lady
20:19Huggers. Wishing more than ever that I could squeeze your hand three times. That's it. Go on,
20:31Giovanna. Go. Oh, I think one isn't in my face name. Yes! How lucky to be here. Yeah. Five
20:42years later. Can you believe it's been five years, Giovanna? It's crazy, isn't it? It feels
20:48like it was only yesterday. But I've got to say, every year since, I've loved watching
20:52because now I get to really bore Tom with the backstage stuff. And also, it's kind of like
20:58reliving how you felt in those certain moments. It's magical. That is funny. It does totally
21:04sort of ruin it for your partner, doesn't it? Because you watch it and you're like, actually,
21:08so the trial area there, and there's a person who comes and speaks to you and there, and then
21:12we do that, you know, it ruins it for the partner. Who are you mates from that year still with?
21:18Oh, there's quite a few of us. Well, our WhatsApp group is still alive and kicking.
21:22Nice. But we have Shane, Jordan, Victoria Derbyshire, Ruthie, Beverly. We all have met out for
21:31dinner. Vernon, I see quite a lot. Oh, that's good. So a lot of us actually still talk, which
21:35five years later, I feel like that's quite the tribe. Yeah, it's a good bunch. Yeah, it's quite
21:38impressive, because we've heard from people who've been in later than you, and we've asked,
21:41how's the WhatsApp chat doing? They're like, oh, it died. Like, a year after. So it's a good group
21:46you've got there, Giovanna. What are you making? Well, it goes through moments where it's quiet,
21:51but at the moment, it's all right. I guess it picks up every year around this time. Yes, it does.
21:54Because everyone's got, like, stuff to say about, like, this year's camp. How are you enjoying
21:58this year's camp? Yeah. Oh, I love it. I think it's been such a gorgeous group. And like Ruby said,
22:04it feels like a family, which I think the majority of years feels like that. Obviously,
22:10sometimes it goes a little bit wrong. But the majority of the time, when it's like a family
22:14and everyone's getting on, I think that's when it feels like a real joy to watch. I wish I could
22:18dive in and join in. The trials have been hilarious. The different, you know, little quirks that have
22:24gone on have been funny. Yeah, I've just loved it. It's the best time of year, I think, when
22:28Amitaleb comes on. It's so good. Have there been any moments that have made you, like, shout at the
22:33television? The washing up? Oh, yes. You've got one job. That was my thing, right? You've
22:43got, like, I think in life, there's so much that we're trying to juggle. And the beauty
22:48of having those tasks, those duties, those chores, whatever they're called, is that you
22:52have that one thing. That's all you have to focus on, is that one thing. So if your one
22:55thing is washing up, you can wash up as many times as you need to. Don't just make it once
23:01a day. Like, the rats came in. You know, that's what always happens. So, yeah, I feel like
23:07perhaps Ginge wasn't really upset about the washing up, but it became about the washing
23:11up.
23:11Is there any campmates that you think have gone too soon this year? Oh, I mean, Ruby,
23:19obviously. I think that Ruby was hilarious and that she should have absolutely... Seeing
23:24Ruby do Celebrity Cyclo would have made my Christmas. Totally. Oh, yes. Totally.
23:28But, Ruby, I do think you should probably just dive in anyway when you know that's being
23:34filmed. Just, you know, come down it. And also, Alex Scott, but it's so hard because you get
23:38so attached to everyone. You're just like, I know that everyone has so much more to show
23:43and I've got to say, I've been really surprised by H, actually. I know he's still in there.
23:48But, yeah, I think everyone else, you kind of, when they go in, you kind of have an idea
23:52of what they're going to be like. But, yeah, I wish I could just carry on and on and on
23:58because, especially this series, there's so much to see.
24:01It's really hard to call it, isn't it? Obviously, in your year, you were such a shoulder to cry
24:06on. Who in this year's camp would you lean on?
24:10Oh, Tom. I think he just talks so eloquently and so beautifully, no matter what he's talking
24:17about, I feel like he would be a great pillar of support. I feel like I could listen to
24:22him talk about anything. Oh, it's just, I could listen to him, read a dictionary and
24:25thesaurus all day. I'm literally hiring him as my therapist.
24:29He's got so much work coming out of this young girl, hasn't he?
24:32Jurana, finally, who do you want to see take that crown?
24:37Ah, look, I'd love it to be a woman. I'd love it to be Shona, but I would also love it to
24:42be Tom. I think Tom is, Tom shows us what being a good human is all about.
24:47And so I think I would love to see him be the king of the jungle.
24:51Wow.
24:51So good.
24:52That would be incredible. Thank you so much. Give it up for Giovanna.
24:54Bye, G. See you soon.
24:56See you soon.
24:58Kemi's off now to take a sneak peek at tomorrow's trial before she chats to Martin later on in
25:02the show. Off your truck, Kemi.
25:04Oh, truck away.
25:04We'll hear about that after this short break. See you in a bit.
25:08Welcome back to I'm a Celebrity Unpacked. Today we saw Tom in his natural habitat, a library.
25:21Reid is literally his middle name. Let's have a reminder of that brilliant trial.
25:26We've got a tank and a peace sign. A war and peace. Oh, man, all down my back.
25:35Oh, the hand of the Baskinels. Yeah, don't get distracted, Tom. Don't get distracted.
25:40Oh! Ow. Oh, oh, oh. Heck, heck, heck.
25:46I'll be honest, I never thought this trial would be this tense. But I'm loving it.
25:50Stick it in the slot.
25:51Oh, I've got to start. Yes! Get it in your library bag.
25:55Yay!
25:56Is the invisible book dying?
25:59Tom!
25:59Oh!
26:00Oh!
26:03Wow.
26:04It was so brilliant. Was it good to see Martin and Tom do a trial? It must have been strange
26:09from your perspective. It was strange for me, yeah.
26:11Yeah. But I thought Tom would, you know, I thought he'd get it every time.
26:15Yeah.
26:15Because he's so articulate. He's unbelievable, his vocabulary.
26:19So, that's what was such a surprising thing for somebody so young to be so erudite.
26:26Erudite, if I said that...
26:28Don't know what that means, but...
26:29Change would go, what, what?
26:31Yeah, yeah, yeah, same thing!
26:32You know, he said he hadn't read a book since he was 12.
26:35I mean, you've got to love it.
26:37With him, it's like the thing where we saw him all come in there and that character,
26:41we were all like, well, he's going to drop that at some point.
26:43And he's just... You realise it's him.
26:45And I assume you sort of went through that same process when you were down there.
26:49What, with Ginge?
26:50With Tom, when you were like, oh my God, that's...
26:53Oh, no, Tom and I were a match made in heaven.
26:54It's brilliant.
26:54Yeah, we played ping pong with our minds.
26:56We were too good.
26:58It's... Did you ever sort of think, oh, this guy's a character?
27:02But there you was.
27:03No, that was him. I knew from the start.
27:05That's brilliant.
27:05Because when he looks you in the eye, boy, does he piercing you.
27:08Yeah, yeah, right.
27:08So you know he's not faking it.
27:10I've never met anything like that.
27:12And we will be friends.
27:14We'll meet after this.
27:15Oh, that's nice.
27:16Just imagining you two together makes me smile.
27:18Oh, it's a love match.
27:19I've never heard a rat be called a darling.
27:22Hello, darling, get out of the way.
27:24There's a boogie here.
27:24I know.
27:25He'd be a great ranger, wouldn't he?
27:26Everyone.
27:27Even when he talks to, like, the turkeys.
27:28He's been like, your plumage is absolutely fantastic.
27:31The way he talks to everyone.
27:33He makes friends with turkeys.
27:34Ruby, what did Martin bring to Camp Life when he was down there?
27:38Martin was like an anchor.
27:40Yeah.
27:40So he was like a soft pillow.
27:42So when you needed somebody to calm you down, you'd just clap eyes on him.
27:45And he'd have that soft voice.
27:47And so you recharge for the next onslaught.
27:50Right.
27:50So he was really warm and there and present.
27:54Yeah.
27:54I liked him.
27:55I think it was really key to that camp to bring everyone down.
27:58To bring everybody down, because otherwise we would have been an explosion.
28:01Yeah, nothing inflated at all.
28:03Personalities, yeah.
28:03We must talk about Gingella Lawson, I'm going to call her now.
28:07Ging is cooking.
28:08I heard he screwed it up.
28:10He screwed it up.
28:11Yeah.
28:11He screwed it up for the vegetarians in the camp.
28:15Is there anything that he's good at?
28:18No.
28:19There's no chores.
28:20No, not at all.
28:20No.
28:20And I finally found out what he does for a living.
28:24We started at the beginning like, how to turn on the computer.
28:27I think it was upsetting for him that somebody knew nothing.
28:30But when I got what he did, I said, teach me this stuff.
28:33He's on it.
28:34Were you able to leave the jungle and then essentially Google him and be like, oh, this is what he does?
28:40No, I haven't.
28:40I'm not using my phone.
28:42I'm not touching it.
28:43I don't ever want to go on it again.
28:45Isn't it amazing to do that?
28:46I don't want to see all those texts saying what?
28:48And then I have to answer them and I don't even like these people.
28:50No, you've not got back to me again.
28:54I can't wait for you to be on one of Ginger's streams.
28:57It's going to be absolutely fantastic.
28:58We're going to do it together.
28:59You must do it.
29:00You must.
29:01Don't forget, we'll be revealing who's taking on tomorrow's The Worst Day Cake trial later on in the show.
29:06Speaking of which, Kemi, are you down there yet?
29:08Yes, Joel, I am here.
29:10We are celebrating the 25th series of I'm a Celeb.
29:15Yeah, it's a party vibe down here.
29:16Now, in this trial, the Kemi will make their way through this massive cake while trying to get to the stars all the way to the end of the rail before they release them.
29:25They've got ten minutes to get five stars and put them in their very fun little party bag.
29:29It's not like my fifth birthday party.
29:31There's no cake in there, very sadly.
29:32But there's so many amazing and awful things the Kemi are going to have to look forward to in there.
29:38Mud crabs, monitor lizards.
29:40Oh, we've also got awful rats, spiders.
29:43Joel, I swear to God, if you're surprising the spider, our friendship is done.
29:46Not today.
29:47Done. Okay, fine, fine.
29:48I think I might skip this birthday party, but it looks pretty impressive, doesn't it?
29:52Oh, I love that.
29:53Thank you, Kemi.
29:54The Kemi's still deciding who's going to take it on, but who do you want to see down there?
29:57I think we need to see H do one.
29:59Like, I don't know, he's got a bit quiet over the last couple of days.
30:01I want him to see him do a little solo trial and try and crawl through these horrible things.
30:05I want to see Lisa do another one.
30:06I just love her face.
30:07I just love her face.
30:09She's the best.
30:09How many stars are you predicting being down there, seeing her up close?
30:13I think it does look pretty tricky, and it's quite close quarters,
30:17and then you've got the horrible stuff in there with you,
30:19but he's going to try and compete with Ginge,
30:21who has done pretty well in these trials and challenges.
30:24So I reckon he might go for the full six,
30:26and I think if he doesn't, he's going to be really hard on himself.
30:28That's true.
30:29That's true.
30:30Well, thank you, Kemi.
30:31Happy worst day.
30:32Happy worst day.
30:33Time for another unseen clip now.
30:35Now, before Martin left the jungle, we found him opening up to his campmates.
30:39Take a look at this.
30:39Before you came here, right, what idea did you have or who you didn't know
30:45and who you were wary of?
30:47This is quite a difficult question, now.
30:49Yeah.
30:49I don't think I really knew anybody.
30:53Yeah.
30:53I don't know, basically.
30:55I knew Jack because of his show.
30:57Yeah.
30:57And I knew you, of course.
30:59You know, I knew faces.
31:00Yeah, yeah, yeah.
31:01But I never knew what anybody was like.
31:03Yeah, yeah.
31:03But my overriding thing was that I was just fearful of meeting new people.
31:10Yeah.
31:10And I've been like that for so long.
31:13Why I'm not sure, my boy always takes a mickey out of me.
31:16You know, why don't you get some friends, you know?
31:20And it's kind of true.
31:22You know, I have friends with Shirley that come round the house,
31:27like couples and stuff, you know.
31:29But friends that I would tell my innermost stuff to.
31:32Yeah, yeah.
31:33Friends that I would sit there and cry with.
31:35I don't have that, you know.
31:36And has that been like that for many years?
31:38A long time, yeah.
31:39Since I left the band, I think, you know.
31:41I think when I spoke about it at home and I said to Shirley,
31:45this is what I'm worried about.
31:47She said, I think she was pushing me to go in there
31:51to kind of make new friends.
31:53Yeah.
31:54She knew that I needed that.
31:57So it's been good for me.
31:59To get out of my house and meet all you lot.
32:01It's been really good.
32:04Isn't that interesting?
32:05Wow.
32:06It's really interesting to see a man of that age talk about that.
32:08Can you imagine saying something like that so vulnerable?
32:12Yeah.
32:12I mean, it's heartbreaking, but he just says it,
32:15so you accept it.
32:16Yeah.
32:17Yeah, it's been...
32:18And I think sort of you having your morning meetings
32:20has been a part of that.
32:21It's just brought so much out of you.
32:23You guys have come across so vulnerable.
32:24That was my idea.
32:25It's great.
32:26Yeah.
32:26You're claiming that.
32:27Obviously the American.
32:27I like that.
32:28Let's hear what you guys think I would have said.
32:31It's all about you, but unfortunately,
32:32Kemi has obviously nicked that joke already.
32:35First up, we have a WhatsApp from Kian.
32:37Can you ask Ruby why her underwear
32:40was called the Lucky Underwear?
32:43Oh, it's always been...
32:45I have to have red on or I'm cursed.
32:47I'm afraid...
32:48I even have them on today.
32:50Do you?
32:50Yeah.
32:51The Lucky...
32:52You've got more pairs?
32:54Yeah.
32:55Oh, my God.
32:56I know.
32:57I won't go without the red underwear.
32:58Otherwise, I feel terrible.
33:00Ruby.
33:00Things will happen.
33:00That looks like a small string as well,
33:02to be honest.
33:03You should see what it's doing to my front.
33:06Woo-hoo-hoo!
33:07I'm going to get it pulled out.
33:09I live it.
33:10That is lucky.
33:12That is lucky.
33:12Thank God he's lucky and not Mookie.
33:14Oh.
33:14Yay!
33:15I can't wait for who's going to be
33:16the face of the new Ann Summers campaign.
33:18It's going to be you, Ruby.
33:19It's going to be me.
33:20This is from Jazz on Instagram.
33:22There's a question for Ruby.
33:23What do you think the camp are going to miss the most
33:26about you not being there?
33:28I don't know.
33:29I guess I was...
33:30Lisa and I would spar,
33:32and Tom and I would spar,
33:34so now they're sparless.
33:35So I'm sure they'll meet together and spar without me.
33:39But I don't know what they'd miss,
33:41except I was the interviewer.
33:43But I would not use...
33:44You know, I didn't have set questions,
33:46but I would free fall,
33:47because I'm so interested
33:48in what people are beneath the radar.
33:50I think that's important.
33:51Yeah.
33:51Well, that's why I'd say
33:52you brought the best out of everyone
33:54because you were genuinely interested.
33:56Rev last year was the same.
33:58He would bring the best out of every conversation
34:00because he would ask the thing
34:01that people outside want to know.
34:03Absolutely.
34:04It's so important to ask questions
34:06and probably more importantly to listen as well
34:08and get it out of people.
34:10Yeah, I was surprised...
34:10I think you were amazing at that.
34:11I was surprised that I was such a listener
34:13and didn't jump in with my ego.
34:15That surprised me
34:16because usually I go,
34:17OK, enough about you.
34:18Interrupt them, yeah.
34:19Let's get back to me,
34:20but I just lay quiet
34:22and listen to their stories
34:23and otherwise, if you interrupt...
34:24Anyway, enough about you.
34:25OK.
34:30We've got another WhatsApp from Rhys.
34:32Let's have a look what Rhys says.
34:35I know we don't want the finals
34:37to come any time soon,
34:38but out of the celebrities,
34:39who do you want to see do the cyclone?
34:43Probably Tom,
34:45Ginge,
34:45H,
34:46Lisa,
34:48either Shuna or H,
34:50and Jack.
34:51All of them.
34:51All of the ones that are left, basically.
34:53All of them, yeah.
34:53All of the ones that are left.
34:54I love them all.
34:55What about you, Danny?
34:56Who do you want to see do cyclone?
34:57Definitely Tom.
34:59Definitely Tom.
34:59Definitely Tom.
35:00I think Ginge and H,
35:01just because of their, you know, rivalry.
35:04And then the rest can be Lucky Dips for me.
35:07Yeah, I want to see Lisa do it.
35:09I think she'll be great.
35:10Lisa!
35:10I'd like to see Lisa do it.
35:11It'd be great.
35:12Yeah.
35:12And I think with Tom as well,
35:13like, I'd love to see him do it
35:14because, like, he's actually,
35:16he's fitter than his mouth gives across.
35:19Do you know what I mean?
35:20He does, like, those push-ups.
35:21Physically, very fit.
35:22And his little bum.
35:23Yeah.
35:24Those been those hot pants.
35:26I know what he's after.
35:28Love you guys.
35:28Thank you so much.
35:29Keep those messages coming.
35:31Time for one last break now,
35:32but, Kemi, we'll be chatting to Martin
35:33when we get back.
35:34We'll see you in a few.
35:35That's great.
35:43Welcome back to A Pact, everybody.
35:45Martin is out of the jungle
35:47and Kemi is down there now
35:48to grab him for a chat.
35:50Are you there, Kemi?
35:51Yes, I'm here.
35:52And Martin is here, everyone.
35:58Thank you so much.
36:00It's really nice to be here.
36:01Yeah, you've literally
36:02just stepped foot over the bridge.
36:04What is going through your mind right now?
36:06It's just overwhelming, all of it.
36:08You know, looking at you,
36:10dressed all nice.
36:11Sorry.
36:11You know, with makeup on.
36:13It's just overwhelming.
36:14When I came across the bridge
36:15and I saw Ruby standing there,
36:18I didn't even recognise her.
36:20I didn't, honestly.
36:21Because everyone looks so different
36:23when they're out in the jungle.
36:24You're used to them seeing
36:24like a certain way, aren't you?
36:26Yeah, yeah.
36:26The whole experience is overwhelming.
36:28I imagine it's, like,
36:30quite a lot coming out
36:31and you've got everyone here
36:31and everyone's cheering for you
36:33after being on your own for so long.
36:34Yeah, it's emotional as well.
36:35You know, I came across the bridge
36:37and I see Shirley standing there.
36:39How was that?
36:42Too much.
36:43Too much.
36:43I saw both of you just had tears
36:45and, like, the way you hugged
36:46was just so, so beautiful.
36:48Would it be so nice
36:48to be reunited with your whole family?
36:50Oh, I just spoke to Roman
36:52on the phone as well.
36:54It's just lovely, yeah.
36:56To come back into real life,
36:58it's the hardest thing in there,
37:01you know, it's kind of like
37:02being on a lead
37:04for two and a half weeks
37:06where, you know,
37:08you can't get away from anyone.
37:09Everyone controls what you do.
37:11Everyone watches what you do.
37:13And then all of a sudden
37:13to have that freedom
37:14and that lead taken away,
37:15it's like a dog being allowed
37:16to run on the grass.
37:18So where are you going to run to next, Martin?
37:19What are you going to do
37:20when you go out of this place?
37:21The shower.
37:21Oh, yeah, OK.
37:22That's fair.
37:23I wasn't going to say anything.
37:24No, I'm joking.
37:25Well, I wasn't going to.
37:26And then Shirley said,
37:27you need a shower.
37:27What's the one thing
37:34you've missed most
37:35while in camp,
37:36apart from your family?
37:37We know family's number one.
37:39One thing I miss most,
37:40apart from my family,
37:42is knowing the football scores,
37:44which is ridiculous.
37:46But just,
37:48it's just freedom.
37:49You know,
37:50that's the thing
37:50that I miss the most.
37:52Yeah.
37:52I'm not used to that.
37:54Feeling like
37:55people are telling you
37:57what to do all the time.
37:59Did that get to you?
38:01Yeah, it did a little bit
38:02at times, you know.
38:03And I had to close my eyes
38:04and imagine it wasn't there.
38:06Yeah, and get into
38:07a very meditative state
38:10sometimes.
38:11Yeah.
38:12But it was that
38:13more than anything else.
38:14Well, now you've got the freedom.
38:15Yeah, exactly.
38:16Although, I must ask,
38:18I know you said you've spoken to Roman,
38:19but will he be giving you
38:20stick that he beat you
38:22and came third?
38:23Because I think
38:24there was always
38:24a little rivalry.
38:25Well, I like to think
38:26there was a little rivalry.
38:26Who was going to
38:27He won't be giving it to me.
38:29He has already
38:30given it to me.
38:32Oh, well,
38:32you're going to get it
38:33both barrels.
38:34Yeah, yeah,
38:34he's already given it to me.
38:36The first phone call I had,
38:38he gave it to me.
38:39Well, he actually also
38:40sent us a voice note.
38:41He really wanted you
38:41to hear this.
38:42Take a listen.
38:42Yeah, yeah.
38:45Mate, gutted he's gone.
38:47But at the same time,
38:49my record lives on.
38:51Didn't get anywhere
38:52close to third,
38:53did you, fella?
38:53Yeah, but he never
38:57made his bed
38:58by the time I went in.
38:59That's you,
39:00that's Roman.
39:01That's very true.
39:01I went in there,
39:02I saw his bed,
39:02it was still unmade.
39:04Who are you going to
39:05miss the most from in there?
39:06All of them,
39:07to be honest.
39:08Yeah, there wasn't
39:08one particular person
39:10that I gravitated towards.
39:12It was,
39:12I tried to spread it out.
39:15Everyone had different qualities
39:16that you could get
39:17something from.
39:17My touchstone
39:21was always
39:22a little bit Jack.
39:23Yeah.
39:23Because Jack
39:24gave me lots of
39:25information to think about.
39:27He's an encyclopedia.
39:29He's such a chill guy
39:30and could just do it all
39:31as well in the cooking.
39:32Actually,
39:33you might remember,
39:34talking about food,
39:34before you went into the jungle
39:36you surrendered your favourite snack
39:37to the Unpacked team.
39:38Yeah, yeah.
39:39I'm here to reunite you,
39:40Martin.
39:40This is your favourite snack.
39:42Open those
39:43and I think you're going to be
39:44quite happy with what we've got.
39:45What have you got here?
39:46Let's have a look.
39:48Do you remember?
39:49Oh my goodness.
39:50Yeah, of course.
39:51Chris and cheese and onion.
39:52Your absolute favourite.
39:54You eat,
39:54Martin's told me before this,
39:55he's not eating a thing yet.
39:57So you crack on with that.
39:59You crack on.
39:59Oh man.
40:00Martin, you've been
40:00absolutely incredible.
40:01Can I get this as well?
40:02Yeah, go on then.
40:03We won't tell him.
40:04We won't tell him.
40:05Martin, everyone.
40:11What a guy.
40:12Thank you, Kevin.
40:13Great stuff.
40:13I cannot wait for Martin
40:15to be on this sofa
40:16tomorrow.
40:17Time now for one more
40:18unseen clip
40:19and we finally found out
40:21what makes Martin laugh.
40:22He loves a good
40:23practical choke.
40:25Take a look at this.
40:26I had a near death
40:27date story
40:30which was
40:31very,
40:32very embarrassing.
40:33We went to
40:34a lovely Italian restaurant
40:36in Soho
40:37and you know
40:38when you sit down
40:40for supper
40:40and you realise
40:40that oh gosh
40:41I think I've got to do
40:43the lion's share
40:44of the talking
40:44because I don't think
40:46they will.
40:48And then our food came
40:49and it looked beautiful
40:50and I thought
40:52oh I can just see
40:54this lamb shank
40:55getting colder
40:55and colder
40:56and colder
40:56and finally
40:58I hit upon a subject
41:00that really fired him up
41:02and I thought
41:02oh bliss
41:03I can eat
41:03while he talks
41:04so I was tearing
41:06into it
41:06much too fast
41:08at which point
41:08I lodged a piece
41:10of lamb
41:11in my gullet
41:12I staggered
41:14across the room
41:15to the bathroom
41:16and I saw a vein
41:17throbbing on my forehead
41:19in the mirror
41:19that I thought
41:20what am I going to do
41:21this is going to be
41:22my last memory
41:23so in the end
41:24I did the Heimlich manoeuvre
41:26on myself
41:27against the wash basin
41:30I hurled
41:31I sort of took a little run
41:32and hurled myself
41:33into the wash basin
41:35and regurgitated
41:37this piece of lamb
41:38oh
41:40it was awful
41:44it was the most
41:46I've seen Martin laugh
41:47I think
41:48that was amazing
41:48it's uh
41:50I just love
41:51those little
41:51the little moments
41:53you guys must have
41:53been on some
41:54bad dates

42:01so he rang the bell
42:02and I hit the floor
42:03and so I crawled
42:05around on the floor
