00:13to catch a glimpse of Telugu actor Alu Arjun during a Pushpa 2 screening.
00:17That woman was 39-year-old Revati and her 9-year-old son Shri Tej was left fighting for his life.
00:23And now, one year later, here's where things stand.
00:26Shri Tej survived, but his life has changed forever.
00:29He spent 146 days in the hospital and now requires constant neuro-rehabilitation.
00:34He cannot eat, drink or even breathe properly on his own.
00:38His father says the family needs nearly Rs 1.25 lakh every month just to keep his treatment going.
00:44Paskar, who quit his job to take care of his son and elderly mother,
00:47says the financial assistance he was promised is no longer enough.
00:51Although Alu Arjun's family deposited Rs 2 crore for the boy's future,
00:55Paskar says the interest barely covers a fraction of the medical bills.
00:58He claims he tried reaching out to the actors' team again for further assistance but received no response.
01:04That's what triggered headlines asking was the stamp it victim's father ignored by Alu Arjun.
01:09But now, the actors' team has responded.
01:11Producer Bani Vass says all the assistance is being routed through Peda Manushulu,
01:15senior mediators like Dilraju, and that the family can approach them at any time.
01:19He insists the funds are being managed under a system and if the family is unhappy, adjustments will be made.
01:25A year later, the tragedy still weighs heavily, not just because a mother lost her life,
01:30but because a little boy is still fighting to rebuild his own.
