00:52According to PNP ACG data, the number of arrested individuals has climbed to 10 following seven consecutive operations in Cavite, Laguna, and Manila targeting illegal online firecrackers sellers.

02:12Asueta explained that selling firecrackers online is extremely dangerous because they do not undergo inspection by the BFP and the DTI.
02:20If the firecrackers are substandard, they can cause fires and physical injuries.
02:25Asueta added that the 10 arrested individuals will face charges for violating Republic Act 7183 or the Act Regulating the Sale, Manufacture, Distribution, and Use of Firecrackers and Other Pyrotechnics in relation to Section 6 of RA-10175 or the Cyber Crime Prevention Act of 2012.
02:43The ACG is also monitoring other prohibited firecrackers such as Zaldico and Diskaya.
02:49Asueta further stated that the ACG will coordinate with online selling platforms to curb the online sale of firecrackers.
