00:45Não.
00:50Thanks to the 1936 Berlin Olympics,
00:53Hitler's face became known around the world.
00:57Nazi propaganda depicted him as a benign ruler
01:00of a revitalized nation.
01:01People came back from Berlin and said that Germany was a great place.
01:08That was Hitler's biggest victory.
01:13Almost all of the photographs of Hitler at the games
01:15were taken by his friend and court photographer Heinrich Hoffmann.
01:22One of his most famous pictures of the 1930s was one of the smallest.
01:28And it made Hitler very wealthy.
01:31When Hitler becomes head of state,
01:34you know, like a lot of heads of state,
01:35he appears on the definitive postage stamp.
01:37In some ways, that's not that strange.
01:40But what's interesting about the fact
01:42is that Hitler actually makes a vast amount of money
01:45by his likeness being on postage stamps.
01:47The portrait is taken by Hoffmann
01:50and it's licensed to the post office.
01:52And there is a royalty collected by Hitler on every stamp that was produced.
01:58So this stamp actually makes Hitler a very wealthy man.
02:03Hoffmann claimed he saw the German postmaster general
02:07hand Hitler a 50 million-mark cheque,
02:10money made from the proceeds of the stamps.
02:13I think it tells you quite a lot about the kind of hucksterish,
02:17gangster-like nature of the regime,
02:19that Hitler, like a classic tin pot dictator,
02:24is trying to cream as much cash, you know,
02:26out of his own people as quickly as he can.
02:29It's the kind of quick buck morality of a gangster.
