00:00The secret, you know, it's, yeah, I understand it.
00:06It's funny, because, because...
00:09Here we go.
00:16Hi guys, it's so nice to meet you.
00:17Hey Riley.
00:18Nice to meet you.
00:18Nice to meet you.
00:19I really, really enjoy this show.
00:21I can't wait to chat with you guys about it.
00:22And I want to start out with a question for all three of you.
00:25And Ashley, if we can just start with you and go down the line.
00:27Sure.
00:27After experiencing everything your guys' characters go through in season two, what advice would you give to them, your, like, younger selves, at the start of the season?
00:36I would probably say focus on yourself.
00:40You can't force people to love you, but you can control the love that you have for yourself.
00:49And so I would say respect yourself, respect others, and conduct yourself appropriately and everything will work out.
00:54I would say, um, be easy to yourself and be kind to yourself because I think, um, Jackie specifically is, is really hard on herself.
01:03And, um, I think it's just always important to, you know, be kind to yourself.
01:08Uh, I would, I would say that it's important to remember that, uh, mistakes don't have to define you, but I think reflecting on them and using them to, to grow is a, is an important process of life and to always keep that in mind.
01:25I'm tired of being a failure.
01:27So I've been looking into college applications.
01:31What?
01:31This whole season, there were so many secrets all the time.
01:39I was like, guys, just communicate.
01:41So I want to know how you guys as actors feel about your characters' decisions to keep so many secrets.
01:48Uh, I kind of understand it.
01:50I mean, it's already messy enough.
01:53I think being out in the open about it would be even worse to some degree.
01:59My, my advice would be if you're going to keep the secret, maybe pull it off a little bit better, you know, maybe lock the door or something.
02:09Uh, yeah, that'd probably be my two cents.
02:12Yeah.
02:12I, I mean, I, I think I agree.
02:14It's like, it's, it's a really tough situation, you know?
02:18So I think the secret, you know, it's, yeah.
02:22Can we keep it just between us?
02:25Just us.
02:26What if we didn't tell anyone?
02:28Just us.
02:30I understand it.
02:32I, it's, it's funny because, because, because it is a TV show, right?
02:38And so the fact that so many people are, or will be privy to the, the, like, Hey, let's just keep this a secret thing.
02:46Like it feels a little embarrassing to see that come up so many times, but in reality, I find, I find myself doing that so often just because, uh, you know, uh, different insecurities, different, uh, concerns about the spread of information.
03:00And like the spread of personal information.
03:02It's like, Hey, like, Hey, like, can we keep this between us?
03:05Or like, I'm, I'm a big fan of like, uh, triangle of trust, uh, cone of silence.
03:10Hey, uh, trust tree, right?
03:12We can, we can, we can speak in confidence just because it's like, I like to be transparent and deep and, and like building those, those paths of trust are pretty difficult in everyday life.
03:23So I don't think keeping it a secret is all that crazy.
03:26I think the fact that everybody gets to watch you do it is weird.
03:28It's like, Hey, like, can we keep this a secret?
03:30And then everyone's like, Oh, that's, that's shady.
03:33But like, in reality, it should have been like a one-on-one thing, like both, both Austin with both them.
03:39You have him.
03:40I would love to jump to the end of, end of the show.
03:46Cause I mean, the cliffhanger we're left on before season three is absolutely wild.
03:50So, um, Ashley, I wanted to start with you.
03:52Alex sees that confrontation.
03:53What was going through his head when that happened, since we didn't get to really hear him react to it.
03:58Oh man.
04:00I mean, through his head, probably like, Oh geez, you know, like he probably looked at them and thought, Oh geez, uh, I think, uh, I mean, I truly, you guys don't know what to expect from the reaction to that.
04:18Um, and yet, um, and yet it almost seems obvious, like how could you listen to something like that and not feel completely dumbfounded.
04:28Um, but, but the way he handles it, you, you will see not soon enough.
04:34Well, yeah.
04:35I can't wait to see what, what happens to that.
04:37And Nikki and Noah, I mean, what do you think was your guys' kind of breaking point that led to them finally like verbalizing their feelings for each other?
04:44Yeah. Um, I think, I, I, I really think it was just like an, in the moment type thing. I don't think it was something Jackie had planned to do, you know? So, um, yeah, I really think it, it was just emotions in the moment.
05:02Yeah. Yeah. I, I feel like so much of, uh, the Jackie and Cole interactions in season two are, are kind of painted with this frustration because I think Cole tries to build this level of momentum with her that she has this extraordinary discipline in shutting down.
05:24Yeah. And so when you finally get to that final scene in episode 10, I think her pressing him as to what's wrong is like, okay, now you want to talk and just kind of things come out, how they'll come out. And, uh, you know, as, as you mentioned, uh, the, uh, another cliffhanger that leaves another Cole and Jackie interaction as confusing, as frustrating as any of them.
05:49Yeah, for sure. No. And I, I can't wait to see what happens in season three.
05:54I, I can't wait to see what happens in season three.
