Chiefs summoning their big-game experience to salvage slim playoff hopes

Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid are not giving up hope of taking the Kansas City Chiefs to the NFL postseason

00:00We've played a lot of big games, and so knowing that the speed of the game speeds up and the moment's bigger,

00:06and you've got to settle yourself and go out there and play your best football.

00:10But I don't know if we've been in this situation this early in the season,

00:14and so I think just learning from it together, building together,

00:18and then using what we can use from prior seasons to hopefully make a run at this thing

00:22and try to get ourselves into the playoffs and see where we can go from there.

00:25I'm big on reality. What's real? Why are we where we are?

00:30What can we do to fix that?

00:32So that's what I look at and try to give the guys that so they have something to work on.

00:41Likewise, as a coach, that's how I look at it for myself, for the coaches.

00:47Where are the problems, and let's work on fixing those.

00:50And if you do that, it takes your energy to get it right, and that's what we're striving to do.
