04:40dating all the way back to 2011, whenever Lance Archer first made his way here into New Japan Pro Wrestling.

04:49And in every single encounter, it has been the Ace of the Universe on top in one-on-one.

04:59Hiroshi Tanahashi has long considered Lance Archer to be one of his favorite opponents

06:26It is El Phantasmo though, a little bit of history here with Monster Sauce.

06:30He competed back in this year in 2023's World Tag League.

06:34That will be a World Tag League by the way where El Phantasmo and Hikaleo as he was known at the time.

06:40Made it to the final back against Bishamon.

06:42He would lose out in that final against Soroki Gotso and Yoshihashi.

07:48It was Lance Archer who took the post-match comments yesterday and Yamanashi told the story the first time he ever met Hiroshi Tanahashi.

08:00And it was in that initial encounter, Tanahashi encouraged Lance Archer for the first time to come to New Japan Pro Wrestling.

08:08Tanahashi allegedly saying to Archer that Archer would be a megastar in Japan.

08:17Lance Archer in 2011 would face off against Hiroshi Tanahashi in that year's G1 Climax 21.

08:27It is Lance Archer who credits Hiroshi Tanahashi for truly revolutionizing his career.

08:32That invite to Japan has served Lance Archer well many years down the line here tonight.

08:41And it is Lance Archer who would like to get one victory over Hiroshi Tanahashi before the ace calls and quits.

08:47Well, he's going to do so alongside Alex Zane here tonight if it is to come at all.
