00:00The two had kept in touch online over the past months, during which investigators suspect

00:05them of planning terror attacks to be carried out at synagogues and other Jewish sites.

00:11In his latest messages, one of the two 16-year-olds said that he wanted to carry out the attacks

00:15in five days' time.

00:17Both teenagers, one French and the other Russian, were arrested in the Paris region and in Strasbourg,

00:23in the east of France.

00:26Both young men are believed to have been influenced by Islamic Jihad videos that they'd watched

00:30online and which openly expressed anti-Semitic views.

00:34This makes them the latest miners to be arrested in 2025, a number that prosecutors say has

00:39increased sharply over the past years.

00:43This form of propaganda tells them they'll gain recognition from others and by the media.

00:53They make them believe they'll be somebody, someone with a future.

00:59Both teenagers have been charged for taking part in a terrorist criminal association with

01:04the aim of preparing one or more crimes.
