00:00He may have the most unique celebrity baby name ever, X-A-A-12-Musk.
00:08Welcome to Miss Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the most bizarre baby names
00:13dreamed up by the rich and famous.
00:15So, we got a lawyer, and his name is, officially, Dweezil Zappa.
00:21Number 10. Audio Science Clayton
00:24Many parents have turned to baby name books to find inspiration.
00:28Actress Shannon Sassamon and author Dallas Clayton had a similar idea, but they opted for a different source.
00:34I drew the pictures myself, and I wrote the words myself, and I wrote it for my son.
00:38And the book is about dreaming big, because I think that's important.
00:41I think it's important to have big, fantastic, wild, unbelievable dreams.
00:45In 2003, the two named their son Audio Science.
00:49When asked about it by the now-defunct parenting magazine Babbel,
00:53Sassamon explained that they had wanted to use a word instead.
00:56Because that's what it's about.
00:58It's about sharing ideas and trying to inspire people, and that's what I want to do.
01:02To find the perfect fit, Clayton reportedly scoured the dictionary multiple times.
01:08They were originally going to have him go by science, but after Sassamon realized it might
01:13get shortened to Psy, as in Simon, a much more traditional moniker, it was relegated to
01:18a middle name instead.
01:19You're inspired, so you're like, oh, I'm going to remake it, or make my own, or there's
01:24a tone to him that's really beautiful.
01:26Number 9, Forever Sugar.
01:28Drawing from personal experiences for a baby name isn't necessarily a bad idea.
01:33Pop singer Anne-Marie took from two very different memories when naming her son Forever Sugar.
01:38It's hard for them picking a name, you know, especially if it's going to be unique.
01:42So, I don't even know if it's going to be the name, because it's so odd, but we've got
01:47the name.
01:48His first name is a nod to her family members in the way they end their notes to one another.
01:53The middle, however, doesn't have quite as sweet of a memory attached.
01:57No pun intended.
01:58His name is Forever.
02:00Oh.
02:00Yeah, Forever Sugar.
02:02Sugar is his middle name, because I had the diabetes thing that you get when you're pregnant.
02:07It came to mind following her bout with gestational diabetes during her pregnancy, and the rest
02:12is history.
02:13She didn't go into too much detail beyond that, leaving some wondering why she chose one of
02:18the hardest aspects of the experience to commemorate.
02:21And I just think Forever is just, I don't know, it's just a cool name.
02:26It's so cool.
02:28Number 8, Kal-El Coppola Cage.
02:30It's a bird.
02:32It's a plane.
02:33It's a boy?
02:34Nicolas Cage drew from his own body of work when coming up with a name for his second
02:38son.
02:39Superman's like a voice that, as I said, will go around the world, and so what do I want
02:45to say?
02:46One might assume he chose from the plethora of characters he's played with traditional
02:50monikers, such as Cameron or Jack.
02:52They would be wrong.
02:54He opted for Kal-El, more commonly known as Superman's given name.
02:58He was inspired by his love for the character, whom he was briefly slated to play in Tim Burton's
03:16short-lived Superman lives.
03:18Had he been born on Krypton, it would have been perfect.
03:21On Earth, however, it easily joins the ranks as one of the oddest to date.
03:25But I particularly want to say to children, you know, it's okay to be different.
03:29And, you know, kids are in class getting called weirdo.
03:32Don't feel bad, because, you know, Superman's a weirdo.
03:34You know, he's from outer space.
03:36Number 7, Bronx Mowgli-Wentz.
03:38You know a name may not be the best choice when your own band members ask if it's a joke.
03:43Ashley Simpson and her rocker hubby Pete Wentz welcomed a baby boy last night.
03:48Bronx Mowgli-Wentz is the couple's first child, and the whole fam is set to be healthy and happy.
03:53Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz and singer Ashley Simpson were faced with plenty of good-natured ribbing
03:58after revealing that they were going to call their son Bronx Mowgli.
04:02It was such an odd choice that experts came out of the woodwork to give their opinions.
04:07This is 13. Happy birthday, Bronx. You are the coolest teenager. I love you, I love you.
04:13However, Wentz provided his own explanation.
04:16Mowgli came from a shared love of the Disney animated classic The Jungle Book.
04:20Bronx, however, was left up to interpretation.
04:23Besides explaining that he thought the name was cool,
04:26he made it clear that nobody would ever know the true reason behind it.
04:30He's gotta go to the park, you know. I just, uh, it gave me, um, a whole new appreciation.
04:38Number 6, Malibu Barbie Paytas Hackman.
04:42Baby name or rage bait? You can be the judge of that.
04:45Trisha Paytas is known for her various online antics to generate more views,
04:49from her presidential endorsements to claims that dogs didn't have brains.
04:54Then I wonder, like, okay, dogs can't talk.
04:58So do they have brains? Like, yes, they walk, but it's because we're telling them to walk.
05:03When it was revealed that she would be naming her first daughter Malibu Barbie,
05:06some automatically assumed it was another stunt.
05:09This choice, however, was genuine.
05:12She'd been open in the past about loving both ideas for her future children.
05:16And when her firstborn arrived, she decided she couldn't just choose one.
05:20And I was very, like, sugar cookie, and I was like that.
05:23So we had to find the happy medium.
05:24So I pitched Malibu first, and he's like,
05:27oh, I like Malibu because of the ocean and the vibes.
05:29And then I kind of threw in Barbie last minute.
05:30I was like, let's just put that out of their middle name.
05:31Nobody will know.
05:32She credited her newborn's personality,
05:34saying that it coincided perfectly with her happy demeanor.
05:38However, next to her son Aquaman,
05:40Malibu Barbie practically seems normal in comparison.
05:43Aquaman.
05:44Apparently.
05:45And her other kids' names are Malibu Barbie and Elvis.
05:49So there's this whole theme with she likes to add names with,
05:53you know, things that she likes.
05:54Number five, Your Majesty Jackson.
05:57There are some names so odd,
05:59you can't help but wonder what was going through their parents' heads
06:02when they decided on it.
06:04Jermaine Jackson has never given an exact reason
06:07for naming his youngest son, Your Majesty.
06:09The pop star seemingly has an affinity for a certain letter,
06:13with his other sons being named Jermaine Jr.,
06:15Jamie, Jeremy, Jordan, and Jafar.
06:18And I have four brothers.
06:20And we have one mother,
06:21but two fathers who happen to be brothers.
06:24And we're all members of the Jackson family.
06:26By the time Your Majesty was born,
06:28he may have just been out of ideas for a traditional J name.
06:31Despite the ribbing he received from some media outlets,
06:34he's never explained his choice.
06:36The title doesn't seem to bother his son,
06:38but then again,
06:39if we were born into musical royalty,
06:41we might not stress about it either.
06:43I like basketball.
06:45That's my favorite.
06:46But I don't really play baseball that much,
06:48but my dad does.
06:49Number four,
06:50Diva Thin Muffin Zappa.
06:52Before there was Trisha Paytas,
06:54there was Frank Zappa.
06:55What exactly was going through your mind when you named her Moon Unit?
07:01Well, actually,
07:02it was a choice between that or Motorhead.
07:04He was the undisputed king of giving his children wild names,
07:08from Moon Unit to the initially forbidden Dweezil.
07:11However,
07:12Diva Thin Muffin Pajean
07:13undoubtedly takes the grand prize based on length alone.
07:17Her first name,
07:18according to her father,
07:19was decided upon after hearing how loud she cried as a baby.
07:22The reasoning,
07:24though slightly insulting,
07:25is sound.
07:26And what about the names of the other?
07:30Dweezil,
07:31Amit,
07:31and Diva.
07:32The rest of it,
07:33however,
07:33only makes sense once you learn that he didn't come up with it.
07:37Diva did herself.
07:38According to the Meadowbrook Music Festival magazine,
07:41she chose those for herself,
07:43which could explain why Pigeon was spelled so creatively.
07:46Why did you pick those kind of names?
07:48Didn't you know that would be a challenge for them?
07:50It's the last name that gets you in trouble.
07:52Number 3.
07:54Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale
07:55When Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale welcomed their son into the world,
08:00they immediately made headlines for one reason in particular,
08:03his name.
08:04And in traditional Hollywood fashion,
08:07the parents picked a non-traditional name.
08:09Guess what it is?
08:10It's Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale.
08:14They decided to go with Zuma Nesta Rock,
08:17a moniker so odd that multiple experts were consulted in an attempt to understand it.
08:22Zuma is the singer's middle son with her Bush frontman ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
08:27As far as they could gather,
08:28Zuma was inspired by a Malibu beach of the same name
08:31where Rossdale decided to switch to a career in music.
08:34Nesta was supposedly drawn from Bob Marley's birth name,
08:37and rock was simply due to his parents' professions as famous musicians.
08:41The 15-year-old's clearly following in Blake's country footsteps,
08:45but we also can't forget who his famous parents are.
08:48These interpretations haven't been vetted by his parents,
08:51but until they offer up an explanation themselves,
08:54they're all the public has to make sense of it.
08:56Zuma, he's got the country bug.
08:59Okay.
09:00I have no idea where he gets that from, but he's got it.
09:02Number 2. Pilot Inspector Lee
09:04If you're going to give an unconventional name to your child,
09:07then you should at least be prepared to be questioned about it.
09:11After Jason Lee revealed that his son had been called Pilot Inspector,
09:15both the media and the general public were understandably curious.
09:18He'd taken inspiration from the musician Granddaddy,
09:22more specifically the song He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's the Pilot.
09:31Eventually, Lee was asked so much that he clapped back at the naysayers in an interview,
09:36where he pointed out that some traditional names had ridiculous meanings as well.
09:40Hey, Crab Man. Cool tux.
09:43Thanks, Earl.
09:44Who's that pretty lady with you?
09:46That's my mom's.
09:47Hey, Crab Man's mom's.
09:49While that's all well and good,
09:50it doesn't explain why he chose the track with the most insulting title to glean inspiration from,
09:55or why Inspector is spelled with a K.
09:58Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
10:02Apple Martin
10:03Chris Martin is credited with coming up with this infamous fruit-inspired name.
10:07It was because when we were first pregnant, her daddy said,
10:13if it's basically, one day he just said,
10:15if it's a girl, I think her name should be Apple.
10:17Somersault Wonder Bernad
10:19Whether she meant to name her son after one of her past songs or not is still a mystery.
10:24The couple welcomed their first child together,
10:27Somersault Wonder Bernad, who's turning one next week.
10:31Moxie Crimefighter Gillette
10:32Penn Jillette admitted his child's name was inspired by a 19th century soft drink.
10:37Let's meet our first magician.
10:42Okay, I'm Moxie Gillette.
10:45First things first, Penn's my dad.
10:47Laser Lee Lewis-Pence
10:49Diplo used himself as inspiration,
10:51with his son having a similar name to his EDM group.
10:54Hey, we've got Diplo and the cutest children ever.
10:57How are you?
10:58How are you, young man?
10:59Hi.
11:00To Morrow
11:01After Rob Morrow made the ultimate dad joke when naming his daughter too.
11:05Things that we did and we still do are little trips that I take to all the time.
11:11And I've been doing it since she's really young.

11:27If there was any kid counting down the days until they could legally change their name,
11:37it's most likely this one.
11:40When Elon Musk and Grimes announced that they'd given their son
11:43the unique, unpronounceable title, X-Ash-A-12,
11:46the world at large was confused.
11:49Let's break down this name because I'm trying to say it.
11:51X-A-Dark-Sidereo-Musk?
11:54I mean, I probably butchered it.
11:55Seems right.
11:56An explanation was eventually provided,
11:59although it only created more questions.
12:01The first part relates to math.
12:03The second is A-I spelled in Elvish,
12:06which was also used for his sister, X-A-Dark-Sidash.
12:09And the final aspect is a nod to their favorite plane.
12:13A-12 is my contribution.
12:15Oh, why A-12?
12:16Uh, Archangel 12, the precursor to the SR-71.
12:20Coolest plane ever.
12:21It's no wonder why he simply goes by X.
12:23Compared to that in X-A,
12:25the couple's third-born Technomechanicus got off lightly,
12:28simply for the fact that it doesn't contain a fantasy language.
12:32The existence of this third was revealed by Musk's authorized biographer
12:36who revealed their name as Technomechanicus with the nickname of Tau.
